I've watched this a couple of times and just now noticed that they show the active aero working in the lower graphic! This is just insane to see how quick it responds to certain situations. These guys are just insane. Great Work!
"Cleaning" lmao i mean, he tried. without wiper fluid, using the wipers only made it worse haha before the wipers, it was just a streak of bug in the middle of the windshield. after the wipers, it was a full on smudge covering the driver's view
Zonda on older developed tyres, Zonda got less aero (so top speed could be 375kph) and the suspension did not travel so much so it had to be stiffer. On the NBR suspension should be a bit softer compared to flat race tracks. In my opinion Porsche experts drive full sent and drivers of multi-million price tagged cars go likely with a bit more of a safety margin. Hope I could form the right words for my meaning.
The scale of the brake and accelerator is very competently made, now you clearly understand where exactly the pilot slows down with the pedal !!!! Cool !!!!
I like how it is "only" 500hp, but handles so well. It is always more fun to have better handling with less power, and not the opposite. And they have so much room to push it more just by increasing the power.
This absolutely demonstrates that HP it isn’t always the answer. IMHO what Porsche has both accomplished & demonstrated with the highly responsive active aerodynamics is not only phenomenal, but why this car is a bargain compared to hypercars priced at multiples to 911 GT3 RS. It also demonstrates how ludicrous 1,000 HP+ cars are in my view. I’ve always maintained the view that 750 HP is more than enough if you allow brilliant minds to do exactly what Porsche has done with their cars.
The lap time held back by straight line speed, this would have been in 06:45 if it wasn't for that 280 top speed as the car only have 500hp so not enough to push through that extra drag, so something like GT2RS with this aero and 700+ horsepower will definitely hit under 06:40

LOL, they had track booked in summer for lap record attempt but not published as they couldn't achieve their target yet just like C7 ZR1 they tried for full day and GT3RS on same day beat it by taking 4 laps of GM session (you don't need insider info for this one btw 🤣) As for every car is true, I was pointing out why GT3RS couldn't get faster than this, wind played big part in making it's drag more effective hence reducing it's top speed big time even with DRS
This car can easily shave off 5-7 seconds if it has a touch more power like 550hp. Overall, tremendous work from Porsche, they always deliver the right car for everything.

Why are these top drivers underestimating themselves???? As they drive faster cars their skill set improves as well. Yes, the car has been improved however it's takes a competent driver to handle the improved performance. Not only that,these guys know that track very well.

After watch it, it seemed like it's to drive. It's like the machine gives you the confidence to go fast and we can't deny the talent of the driver too. My idea est that you give the same with the specs to these two drivers: Beginner and semi-professional and make a lap in pushing hard in order to have their thoughs.
Sure, the car is street legal, but the yardstick is still 5:19:55, 919 EVO. Compare, watching on two monitors and you get an idea, how speed is made. I mean, that´s a difference of about 1:30min. Holy cow!
Couple of missed apexes from going in a bit deep so off the throttle a bit long…. Probably .5 over both. The birdstrike didn’t help… Still an amazing lap! 🎉🎉

I’m honestly a tad disappointed. I thought it would beat the GT2 RS. I know it’s down on power and being NA. But with all that kit seemed like it should have been faster. However the next gt2 with the same tech in aero with more power will be radical
