KING RONAN!!! He is a LEGEND! This guy is solely responsible for me catching the RING and Porsche bug! 18 years ago, he wrote an article for AUTOWEEK about his European delivery experience on a 2006 M6 V10. Back then I was just getting ready to make my first trip to Germany and the Ring. That first trip was 4 very slow laps in a rental E61 525xi. But Ronan’s article was a true inspiration and gave me a very good idea as to what is actually possible. I did do a European Delivery on a brand new BMW M2 Comp back in 2019. Ronan also had an article about his European Delivery experiences with Porsche and his 997.1 GT3RS. I also remember reading the article with all and complete fascination. I was also finally able to do European Delivery on my own GT3RS in 2023. Anyway, after all these years, RONAN continues to inspire, and it is absolutely great to see him in a Misha video. Mr. McGrath - you are my HERO!! 🙏🙏🙏

He's on a lot of the Porsche GT forums I've been on and is highly knowledgeable and a thoroughly decent bloke. Great to actually put a name to a face and so nice to see him enjoying his latest RS on the Nordschleife.

I absolutely loved the track guide on the first lap, you should do a seperate video of like a “How to drive the ring” lots of tips and a drive round etc

This is one of my favorite videos on your channel to date. I love the turn-by-turn cliff notes for each part of the track. It brings so much perspective to the track and road orientation and shows how fukn fast and awesome the GT3 RS is. It's definitely a car on my bucket list to drive if not own. I’ve been lucky to have been in the passenger seat with skilled competent drivers on a couple of occasions. It’s a unique experience because you can make observations about the car instead of focusing on piloting. The passengers comment about being calm and relaxed is understandable. For sure would be a memorable ride !

Can confirm most Canadians couldn't tell a 911 Carrera S from a GT3 RS or even an old Air Cooled. Our car culture seems to pale in comparison to the EU, USA, and even Australia, not sure why.
@@goobingtons yeah, you might want to investigate that a bit. north american car manufacturing wasn't as straight forward as you assume. at one point ontario was manufacturing more cars than any other region of the world, including right hand drive for export throughout the commonwealth.

Porsche GT2RS & GT3RS are the best thing ever, absolute weapons! Some people prefer Ferrari, Lambos etc etc, but one things for sure if they ever get to go out in a GT2RS or GT3RS being driven hard, particularly around the Nürburgring Nordschleife watch how fast their opinion changes. Its like an awakening. That Porsche was stunning...
Yes because Porsche RS cars are track cars from the factory not road cars like Huracans or something pointless comparison lol. And 90% of supercar owners drive them on the street anyway and that's what Porsche Turbo S was made for.

Stunning drive Misha, you were really pressing-on & yet your passenger was as cool as a cucumber, typical Canadian in my experience as they are pretty laid back in general. Fantastic car owned by a proper Porsche entusiast, I hope Porsche look after him well while in Europe!
Misha, I drove my 992 GT3 RS there in mid May and had not been informed about the "new" curb on the left side coming out of Fuchrörhe. I lost control of the car and despite trying my best, I could not avoid hitting the side rails further up. Not a big crash at all, but the side airbag in the seat deployed and I ended up in a hospital with 4 broken ribs, internal bleeding and a punctured lung. Due to being on some meds to make my blood thinner and not coagulate, it became pretty serious. I have been driving the Nordschleiife for 25 years and more than 500 laps in all kinds of different cars, mostly Porsche GT3s and RSs. So I am very experienced and have never had an accident there before. The accident in May was really a "freak accident" and if I had known about the rebuilt curb, it would not have happened. This "new" curb is really dangerous. Also, Porsche have put in an airbag in the seats in the 992 GT3 RS which is really stupid and also very dangerous. If you are strapped in in a bucket seat with a 5 point racing harness and the airbag goes off, you will definately suffer internal injuries because there is no room for the airbag between the seat and the body. Both the safety marshalls and Manthey Racing knew about the airbag issue, but Porsche refuse to comment. Have you had any similar experiences? If not, I suggest you warn everybody about the "new" curb and also the 992 GT3 owners about the airbag in the seat!!

Stunning drive Misha, you were really pressing-on & yet your passenger was as cool as a cucumber, typical Canadian in my experience as they are pretty laid back in general. Fantastic car owned by a proper Porsche entusiast, I hope Porsche look after him well while in Europe!

I drove my 992 GT3 RS there in mid May and had not been informed about the "new" curb on the left side coming out of Fuchrörhe. I lost control of the car and despite trying my best, I could not avoid hitting the side rails further up. Not a big crash at all, but the side airbag in the seat deployed and I ended up in a hospital with 4 broken ribs, internal bleeding and a punctured lung. Due to being on some meds to make my blood thinner and not coagulate, it became pretty serious. I have been driving the Nordschleiife for 25 years and more than 500 laps in all kinds of different cars, mostly Porsche GT3s and RSs. So I am very experienced and have never had an accident there before. The accident in May was really a "freak accident" and if I had known about the rebuilt curb, it would not have happened. This "new" curb is really dangerous. Also, Porsche have put in an airbag in the seats in the 992 GT3 RS which is really stupid and also very dangerous. If you are strapped in in a bucket seat with a 5 point racing harness and the airbag goes off, you will definately suffer internal injuries because there is no room for the airbag between the seat and the body. Both the safety marshalls and Manthey Racing knew about the airbag issue, but Porsche refuse to comment.
Have you had any similar experiences? If not, I suggest you warn everybody about the "new" curb and also the 992 GT3 owners about the airbag in the seat!!
