I've got a Grotrian Steinweg of very similar vintage - 1924. Mine is smaller (Model VII 5'8) and has less elaborate casework and has had fewer parts replaced. They have amazingly solid construction and a beautiful sound. The plate design is one that you don't see anymore, except Bösendorfers are similar. I have some videos on my channel, but my playing isn't up to much.
What a beautiful instrument! And a major restauration. Allow me to ask: The original soundboard, frame and casing are, of course, important. But the famous Renner action parts are just as important, aren't they? But anyway Renner is near the best ever, I guess?
i like sk ex and sk7... my childdream was steinway but now that is bösendorffer 270 or ex kawai my top 3 pianos bosendorfer shegiru kawai Grotrian steinweg
This Piano Was Made Before Grotrian-Steinweg Changed To Grotrian In The Late 60’s Or Early 70’s In America To Avoid Confusion Of The Steinway Brand Pianos (Since Steinweg Is The German Pronounciation Of Steinway Reasoning That Steinway And Sons Was Founded In Queens New York In 1853 By German Immigrants)
This has to be the best piano I've heard on this channel

Beautiful tone and it plays with a solidarity and authority that commands the ears of the listener. Very nice!
Wow it sounds amazing!
Wow sold on the same date as published! :O
I think Grotrian-Steinweg, after Ibach, are my favorite German pianos. The new ones are still very nice, but louder and brighter.
to me right now it’s a Steingraeber, and August Förster, Seiler
Ibach is my favorite as well. Grotrian-Steinweg is a possible second.
