  • We have a treat for you! This is probably the coolest piano we have ever had in our store. This piano was built in 1910. Think Maserati - this is a super high-end piano. These pianos are absolutely amazing. We are honestly honored to even have it. We did not rebuild this action, this was probably done about five years ago. They did a really good job. Everything is to our standards!

Very nice sound! This is quite an old instrument, >100 years. Contribute to the quality and longlevity of a good piano!

I've owned a couple of the 1.8m models. As you say: Grotrian pianos are superb.

Even though you failed to remove the music desk (did you think we dodn't want a peek at the tuning pins?) I look at this instrument and my first thought is: Bechstein model 1. Grotrian and Bechstein were looking over one another's shoulders in that year. The curved diagonal bar between the main struts remained in the Bechstein model E right up until 1973. I assume that, had it come to you you without prior action work, that would have plugged the holes in the keays and istalled brass capstans? No harm in that.

    No sostenuto, only 2 pedals?
