Woah! This is the most beautiful piano I have ever heard. The Growling bass and bell-like treble truly make this piano a top-notch instrument. Thank you for sharing such masterpiece of an instrument. The piano playing is exquisite as well.

When I was looking for a grand piano in Germany about a year ago, I tested many Grotrian-Steinweg pianos (they are upper class expensive instruments one class below Steinway Hamburg and Bechstein Concert and Blüthner, but may be above Schimmel, Seiler, etc. and rather cheap on the used market).
I did not like most of them. This one though I would have considered buying (if it had not been walnut). Lovely sound. Ended up buying a 1980 195cm (6'5") grand from the Feurich factory in Langlau instead. Also lovely.
What I always realized when I looked for used grand pianos and sometimes accidentally landed on US webpages: Great used but also new instruments are so much cheaper in Germany. I paid less than 14.000USD for my grand and it was considered a rather high price. The only brand that is always expensive is Steinway. Collectors and brand value, I think.

These pianos are comparable to those upper end instruments that you mentioned; richer in tone than Steinway and Bluthner similarly sized pianos, in my opinion. I have a Grotrian Steinweg Model 192, so I speak from experience.

The reason I didn't get a similar used piano I found while looking for my first grand, was that it constantly reminded me that I was not worthy of playing it. I ended up getting a used Kawai RX-5 because I fell in love with its unusual upper and lower registers.

It's still Grotrian-Steinweg in Europe. Also, there are plenty Asian pianos that offer warmth and clarity. That's not solely a European piano quality anymore. That said, I love Grotrian-Steinwegs. But I find this one a little too dark, not as sweet as some others.
