After doing all kinds of research on the internet, I got the Terrova, 12V. 55 thrust and 45 shaft. I think that it will pull my 17 foot Nitro pretty well as I had a Motor Guide with a 40 pound thrust and that pulled it very well. I am going to have it mounted in the next couple of days and really look forward to trying it out. It's got a few more "bells & whistles" than I need, but I hope to learn how to get it to work. I think that the Spot Lock feature will really be a help the way that I fish. I bought it mainly for the Auto Pilot. When I lived in Florida, in the 90's, I had an AP motor and LOVED it!! I just bought a used boat and this was the next BIG step on "tricking it out" like I wanted to. Thanks!
Thanks for the Terrova video though the two voice levels was quite distracting. A little audio editing to bring all the audio to one level would be appreciated. I have a new boat on the way which will have a 80#, 60" Terrova Link MDI motor that I'm planning to network with a console and a bow Helix. It will be a huge upgrade from my current 33 year old boat and motor with two 30 year old Humminbird fish locators so I'm trying to learn everything I can about the new system before I take possession of the new boat.

I added a lift assist to my riptide terrova that didn’t come with one. I have the I pilot, 112 36v. Can I use the existing depth collar or do I need to purchase a different collar? Thankd

I recently purchased the minnkota 80 with advanced gps remote.. the remote did show the depth but it stopped showing the depth can you help me get the depth back

According to what I understand from a friend who had an older Terrova, red blinking is standard. If your jog feature is working, the heading sensor is functioning properly.
Hi Jack, if your prop isn’t spinning, check your power supply. Assuming you have good battery power, check to see there isn’t something wrapped in your prop shaft. If it’s mechanical, a warranty Center will be able to assess your motor and give you more information about your prop and test button.
Universal Sonar 2 Adapter is what you’re looking for and there are 3 Garmin options. MKR-US2-1 for Garmin MKR-US2-12 for Garmin Echo MKR-US2-14 for Garmin 8 pin I am not completely familiar with Garmin units so hope the information above helps.
I did a little more research on the MinnKota site, according to chart it’s the MKR-US2-14. It says it also requires Garmin 8 pin transducer to 12 pin sounder adapter cable with XID, Garmin part # 010-12122-10 sold separately. From what I read that’s what you need.
Steve, I installed my new terrova. I have a promariner 3 bank battery charging system on it. 2 for fhe trolling motor, 1 for the starting system. Charging system show all batteries at full charge. The 24 volt batteries are hooked up correctly to the manual. I still have my battery meters at red on the terrova. what is my issue ?? Thanks Steve
I would check for the voltage reading at the plug to make sure you’re getting the proper voltage to that point. If you’re getting the proper voltage to the motor, you might want to contact Minn Kota support to get their opinion.
I looked at the manual. It says the only time the battery meter is accurate is when the motor is off. Yes by the looks of the picture it looks like the battery fills up red when it is fully charged. The manual says 4 lights indicate fully charged. I don’t have a Terrova so I can’t drift that here 100% but from what I read that certainly is the case. I am so used to “green” indicating fully charged that is my brain thinks 😊

Thanks for the suggestion Ross, I had to do a few voiceovers so the hum of the boat show crowd would have been eliminated.

IPilot Link remote is touch screen, I-Pilot remote is not touch screen.

Touch screen comes with the Link trolling motor. Both remotes work well.
You should include instructions on replacing the depth collar, I'm on my third one since I installed my terrova 2 months ago

Thanks for the video. Is the Minn Kota Terrova I Pilot (Not I Pilot Link) compatible with the Hummingbird Helix 9 MDI+ GPS G4N CHO?
If you have a built in transducer it will work. You can’t control trolling motor with Helix since it’s not a link.

My Terrova is an older model and my heading sensors light blinks Red instead of blue do you know if that is fine or should it light up blue? Thanks

This year’s model did not have the same lift assist mechanism. I am not exactly sure why it changed but it did.

Can you tell what valve I need to connect my Garmin 106SV to my Minn Kota Terrova with the built in US2 Transducer.

Can you clarify what you mean by controller? Do you mean the I pilot link controller in the top head of the trolling motor?
