My Terrova gotr to my home today. I am going to get it installed on Tuesday and will try it out on Tuesday afternoon. I'm really excited about this motor. I haven't had a boat in 25 years. When I lived in Central Florida, I had a Minn Kota with Auto Pilot and I loved that motor. This was before the GPS and all of that, but I could just point it and put the motor on about #1 setting and fish a grass line for the longest time and not have to do anything but FISH. I bought my latest boat 4 months ago and I came with an old Motor Guide and it was not good. I saved my nickels (about $1,800 worth) and got me a Terrova. I'm real excited!
You need I-pilot link for that and a hummingbird fishfinder with network for that. Or you can program a track manually by recording as you go or record as you drive boat with OB.
just purchased and had mine installed bY BPS tuesday 3-12-24 during the Triple Crown Special ( free install + used my VIP discount saved over $500 ) ... didn't even think about the foot pedal thing ... mine came with it and was already connected ... I like the idea / option of not having to have the pedal .... now im even more excited to use it next week
@@wendellbirch8174 It's pretty much ready to go out of the box ..... especially when you have it installed ..they verify everything is GOOD TO GO only thing I had to do was hit the on button on the trolling motor and the on the WHITE GPS UNIT , and turn on the remote control ..... no programming was needed .... just be careful when using the ANCHOR / SPOT lock feature ,,, if you are moving forward at a good rate and you hit SPOT LOCK the head will almost instantly spin around to bring the boat back to the point where you engaged the spot lock ... and your CABLES may wrap around the shaft more than recommended .... SO dont be hauling ASS and hit spot lock ... or your BUTT cheeks might pucker a bit LOL .... ( like mine did !! ) if you plan on getting a compatible graph the will work thru the supplied transducer ... then you might want then to do a more detailed operation tutorial with ya....but I think its also pretty much basic if you are using just the 2D sonar as connect the supplied cables /adapters and away you go... but if you get into setting up chart plotting way points . auto piolet thru the graph then YA programming is involved ....
I bought a used Terrova trolling motor and couldn’t figure out how to set the spot lock while using the foot pedal. Hopefully mine has the button under the speed dial once I use it again. Do all the Terrova pedals have the spot lock feature on the pedal? I never recalled seeing that button. Hopefully Ive just missed it. Thanks for video

Yes you can save GPS routes. Make sure the trolling motor is on and hit the record button on the remote. The cool thing is that the trolling motor doesn't have to be deployed to create the route so you can use your big motor to trace the route and then go back through it with the trolling motor.
Thanks for the video. Can you lock the direction of the boat in spot lock mode? I noticed sometimes when I am spot lock in a back eddy or swirl current that the boat does 360's as its confused on the current direction.
I wish there was but unfortunately there's no way to lock in a direction using the spot lock feature because its always trying to find the most efficient way to hold you in place.
