    Just picked up and installed a powerdrive myself. I agree, this is the best and most informative video I’ve seen of what I pilot and autopilot can do. Showing how to use the remote was great too.
    It blows me away that minn kota doesn’t provide content like this on their channel.
    Thanks again, great video!

      Maybe you should contact Minnkota and offer your video as a "how to" and who knows, they may even pay you for it. Great video, just watched and saved it as my how to for when I go on my brother's boat tomorrow as he purchased the Minnkota Terrova with SpotLock and Minnkota has nothing but a quick chart for instructions. Thanks for the great informative video!

    I bought one of these in Jan 2023. I did not get a chance to use it a great deal and like most people, the boat has been put up for a few months. We seem to have some really good weather off and on here so I have gone out after Crappie the last couple of days. In the short few months of not using this remote and motor, I got it screwed up pretty good. Had the I pilot in advance instead of legacy and could not figure out what I was doing wrong. I also have been having a problem with delayed speed commands. After watching this I am wondering if I did not have that screwed up as well. lol. I'm thinking that I may have the cruise control engaged. Wish I would have watched this video BEFORE I went out the last couple of days. Thank you very much for making this easy-to-understand video. I would give you ten thumbs up if I could.

    Thank you very much! I recently got back into fishing, I purchased a really nice 16 foot fishing boat that was already equipped with the Terrova trolling motor. I have been away from fishing for a while so I had you could imagine the electronics has come light-years from where I left off, so I was feeling a bit helpless and lost your video. Absolutely gave me a ton of information to follow and will make operating the trolling motor. Much easier when I first get out. Thanks again!

    Excellent video. You went through each detail of the remote which was very helpful to me. I have one question and one item that might be added to your video and that is, can you use the mini coda trolling motor itself to chart your course and record it the same time with that while you are using it

    • @HooksandHammocks
      @HooksandHammocks ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sorry for the late response, as far as "charting a course I would say no, you cant tell the trolling motor where to go but you can record and save the course for later. Hope that helps.

    Great tutorial and channel. I also have a Power Drive I Pilot and love it except deploying and stowing the motor is a real pain in the ass. The deploy assist lever doesn't provide enough thrust to release it easily and then when retrieving the motor it's very hard to get it back into the mount ramps for stowage and travel. Minn Kota was almost no help referring me to a non Minn Kota You Tube channel. They also mentioned lubricating the shaft with furniture polish. Any thoughts and/or recommendations?

    Thanks for the video. Maybe I missed this, but the one thing I have a question about is exactly when you should or need to press "save" to keep the track. Seems like it should not be complicated, but I have seen and heard people say that save should be pressed right after you start recording, which seems odd to me. I tried recording a track only once my first time using the motor and then lost it by accident because I didn't hit save when I needed to apparently. Thanks for any info.

    • @HooksandHammocks
      @HooksandHammocks ปีที่แล้ว

      In my experience the track is saved automatically, have the track there everytime i go back to the area, BUT very easy to record over if not careful. I am sure there is a way to "lock or save" a track so this doesnt happen but I have not looked into enough to give any tips.

    • @HooksandHammocks
