Well, thank you for the video!! I just bought my Terrova and will get it installed in the next few days. I'm pretty excited about this, but I am not sure, at the age of 65, I'll get all of that tech stuff going. I wish I could have found one that was a few years older and saved some money, but this is what Bass Pro Shops has so I got it. I know that I will LOVE Auto Pilot because I had a Minn Kota in the mid 90's that had Auto Pilot. The main reason that I wanted to get this motor is the Auto Pilot. After reading and seeing some others, I am excited about the Spot Lock. That will be very useful for me as well. After I get it installed, I'll head down to my "watering hole" and start trying to learn. It will be a challenge, but I hope that I'll be able to use it to the fullest. Thanks.
spot lock will be your favorite feature and the jog feature to move it around the area with a tap of the arrows

So just to clarify, Minn Kota trolling motors are no longer made with iPilot and only sold with advanced GPS, for 2024 and on?
Do you have any thoughts on Drift mode? Do you believe it's worth the extra money for buying a 2024 version of Ultrex vs a older model with Ipilot Link?

To sum it up it’s an addition the the link model by adding drift mode + dodge mode. Link modes already integrate with birds….

So can I utilize all the features of the Advanced if I don't have bird electronics? That is why I didn't opt for the link...
Now in 2024 can you buy a cheaper option with spot lock or is it just advanced gps model from now on?
Is there a way to upgrade a powerdrive unit to accept a foot operated trolling motor and being able to use both the remote and foot control simultaneously?

I learned today that my Terrova 2024 Advanced GPS does not need a heading sensor. No wonder why I couldn't get it to pair with the trolling motor! It isn't supposed to have one!
There is going to be a lot of confusion, I know I'm not going to be the only one. But the Minn Kota rep on the phone made me feel like an idiot. Had a hard time with the update, too... until I realized it's not iPilot link anymore.
The Minn Kota rep on the phone actually chuckled at me when I said my heading sensor was missing from the box. Told me it comes integrated with the head and it's no longer needed. All I need to do is the keel offset and all the features will activate.
I’m wondering if this will work on a river when your bumping for catfish. Your floating backwards in a boat and using the trolling motor to slow you down. If you pick a route on the map, it tries to PULL the river. I’m needing to float backwards on a specified route, and just have the trolling motor keep me on the route I chose, at a specified speed. I’m hoping this will do that.
Basically pick a route on my chart, let the river current take me downstream and have the trolling motor keep me on the specified route, and slow me down to the speed I want to be at. If the river is flowing 5mph I want to be floating down it at 1.5mph.

My brand new quest 24v Terrova loses its position in spot lock . 1month old and used twice . Anyone have any insight on why this might be happening . Already load tested my two 100ah Battleborn lithium batteries. Checked connections . Voltage stays at 26v with a meter connected when this occurs . Happens any time even in calm water no current or wind . Very sporadic and intermittent but consistently will lose position . Any help or does it sound like I have a defective motor . ??
Hi, just picked up a 2018 Terrova that is missing a remote. Can I use the ipilot link remote on a non-link unit?

There is much bigger differences than presented. The close loop pid is going to be much more advanced.
