Yes.It is so because the sponge covers the barometer. Barometer is not only used for altitude hold but also in sensing the density of air and giving a more stable flight. If the barometer is not covered with sponge then the drone may get unstable.

If you have any other flight controller then you should check your f your gps is working there or not because in this case there can be 2 problem;First that the ardupilot is not receiving the signal and Second,the gps is not working properly
Bro I have 1400kv bldc motors with 25C 2200mah battery. I am facing slow response issue on 2 motors after 25% throttle they are rotating. What is the reason behind it? Whether the issue is due to battery or ESC or APM 2.8?? Kindly Plz help me bro

Bhai mera apm2.8 input signals pe response nhi kar rha, jab m arm karke throttle full karta hu tu motor spin karne lagti h aur throttle down karne se bhi nhi rukti, jab m usb se connect karke drone arm karta hu to sab kuch thik work karta h

No solving in that If the reciever is not getting the signal from the transmitter then it will show it as 1498 or some number near that Usually you only use 5 channels
