Hi sir
I am also having apm 2.8 flight controller actually problem that I am facing is heating in apm board and all light glow solid. And when I checked output and negative pins through multimeter I saw that negative and positive pins were showing shorts in continuous mode

try to change the regulator and see if not refer the ardopilot website once.

I have same issue but i tried ur way do i need to remove board shorted ic first in order to ur step work??in yt one channel is there it a 8 years old video and he did same but he removed board ic it works just fine now what should i do??

just recheck with the mulltimeter weather the voltage reading are correct or not
and if my way of fixing doesnot work then try the other way as you said in one yt channel you saw

Hello bhai mera Flight controller board thek tha lekin mene uske reset button ko 2-3 bar press kar diya jisse yah no heartbeat so ho raha hai or bhai i2c port me 4.68 voltage so ho raha hai or flight controller me blue led flash ho rahi please please bhai help me,
