Custom seeds is a fantastic idea that I hope gets implemented. Maybe some joke seeds like “troll” or “theft” that restrict enemies, but there could be some fun difficulty ones added; like for example, “miser” makes it so coins don’t drop from enemies and are instead cheat rewards, “npng” permanently activates no pain no gain for the run, “hardhat” makes enemies immune to hammer strikes, stuff like that

30:27 haven't watched the full vid yet, but if that's the case, then this is by technicality a Roguelite, not a Roguelike. Roguelikes don't have permanent upgrades. There can be permanent unlockables, but not upgrades.
Edit: yeah this is technically a Roguelite. Not hating on it for the mistake, I really enjoy this mod, but I feel like this should be stated so others know the distinction.
