I loved season 3 and i don't think it is the worst season actually i think i can't choose which is the best and which is the worst season i just love them all
We seen a lot of other series and some of us or all of us have seen series that have a great storyline and everything but they ended some what disappointing. The way Kipo ended some what reminds me of Avatar the last air bender ending with the bad guy losing power and being imprison, so I like the entire series all three of them 😁
Is no one gonna talk about how wolf said the mute pandemic started on October 12 in season one and now the last season came out on October 12 they are super huge brain
F in the chat for the Characters who were "Cured" or didn't make it to the end of season 3 like Yumyan Hammerpaw, Billions the Wolf, Amilia's brother, etc.
ikr it seems like the best way for his arc to end was to let him be happy and live a good life. he was experimented on and exploited and finally had a family to go home to. m an
Don't get me wrong Hugo is absolutely my favorite character but he was a dictator throughout the 2 seasons just because he had a tragic backstory doesn't mean it excuses all of his actions, his death was a well deserved redemption arc for him in my opinion
I’m just happy they didn’t try and make me feel bad for Emilia like other shows do. They just straight up made her evil and I love that. When I saw how her father was, I was expecting some “oh, she’s not really that bad, you guys!” But nope. She killed her brother and she sucks.
To be fair, Scarlemange was no better than her at s2. He tried to make Kipo gild her owm father (which was like a foster father to Scarle). He also terrorized his own kind as well as the humans, but scarle gets to have a redemption arc and Emilia gets locked down forever when they were the same
Yes and Hugo tried to get Kipo to kill her own father to prove than she cares about him so both Hugo and Emelia attempted to kill a relative. The only difference is that Emelia was successful. Hugo was just as bad as Emelia considering he was enslaving humankind so he could construct a tyrannical mute empire. He has killed just like her. Emelia was the way that she was because of her upbringing just like Hugo was the way he was because of his upbringing.
@@GreatUniter To be fair, Scarlemagne got abandoned by Lio and was holding resentment towards him, he also singlehandedly experienced that humans and mutes were cruel and you had to fight to be on top or be weak and trampled. Emilia, on the other hand just had a superiority complex and a pride issue to the point she killed her own brother just to be right. That’s how they are different. Emilia killed someone she cared about in cold blood for no reason other than pride. Hugo attempted to kill someone he cared about because he was hurt and didn’t know any other way to handle it at the time. He also killed other mutes because it’s how he learned things were on the surface. Emilia literally just wanted to be right.
@@Sandy-wm2nv Hugo did not turn evil until Lio abandoned him. The experiments and what not didn't cause him to view humanity as evil. He even defended humanity when he met up with those primates who would become his henchmen. He gleefully killed those frogs who weren't a threat to him. Emelia did not have a superiority complex. Her burrow's mission for generations was to undo the mute outbreak. She killed her brother because her father indoctrinated her into placing the core mission of their group first and everything else last. We see that she is even willing to become the very thing she despises to complete the mission she was groomed to complete. She is willing to go to the extremes to achieve an objective. Emelia never seemed to underestimate mutekind and only viewed them as an obstacle to her goal of making the surface safe for humanity again. Most mutes however had a superiority complex over mutes who weren't their own and a large one towards humanity hence the popularity of the song "Down with the Humans". Her brother only changed his mentality because he ran into one of the few mutes that tolerates humanity while Emelia ran into the worst of mute kind. Hugo tried to get his sister who he cared about at the time to kill their father. That's just as bad if not worse.
Is it bad that I kinda wished Emilia had lost herself to the mute? It’s not dying, but it’s still a fair punishment. Letting her live out as the one thing she hates the most. Maybe she would actually learn something... I also wished Scarlemaine hadn’t died. It felt kinda unnatural, plus he was my favorite character and a death arc wasn’t the right move in my opinion.
@@Mari17897 honestly, that would’ve been fine, but that fungus kid creeps me out, so I think that would’ve been fine too, to spend your last moments with a mute
I have 2 main problems with the season. The first was how the thing with Margot went nowhere. She shows up and asks for help, Wolf doesn’t trust her at first, but they start to get along better, Margot decides to tell the truth, but Wolf goes back to being mad at her again, then Margot gets cured and that’s that. Wolf still feels hatred toward all of her former family. It would have been better if Wolf heard what happened and had some sort of reaction to that, whether it’s rage or regret or whatever, but no, she’s back to where she started with hating her again. The second problem I had was that, despite the fact that they had isolated the mutagen that turned regular animals into mutes 12 years ago, they weren’t able to un-cure anyone. Like at least give an explication as to why that wouldn’t work. Even if they didn’t remember the exact details, they should be able to retrace their steps in 5 years.
true, and I thought margot's flower bracelet seen on her arm the entire episode was something that wolf gave her, and that maybe they were going to point the fact that even after wolf escaped the wolf family she still wore that bracelet out to wolf and so she would have considered reconciling with margot, but that didn't happen
I was actually fine with some mutants being permanent casualities as the risks made me more happy that they came out on top. It made me appreciate the stakes they went through even more as they show the mute world really could have ended and they managed to save it. Also, de-curing might be really hard or useless since you're basically just mutating normal animals again. I think the cured mutants really lost their old selves and mutating them again would just be someone new but maybe still have similar traits, they just don't have memories.
Kipo did make a decision tho. She helped her up and tried to get her to join them or at least detain her. She could have killed her. She didn't. I think that's still an active choice. I like the irony of Dr. Amelia's death. I still think it was a good touch.
Poor Margot. Margot and her brother held hostage by Emilia and her forces. She lets them go at first and they start to run away, but then Emilia aims her crossbow at them, loaded with the newly-created mute cure. We don't see what happened to them until the end of the episode where it's revealed Emilia cured both of them and is heading to the Timbercat forest with her army close behind. Wolf will never have a chance to make amends with her "sister" ever again.
@Avery Merrick That's what I thought, too! Also, Kipo's parents said that they would try to reverse the cure by creating a vaccine to reverse the effects that turned some of the Mutes into normal animals. A vaccine that would change them back into Mutes again. But they never did!
She was trying to make an anti-cure vaccine to prevent any more, not reverse curing. In the end they decided it wasn't necessary since they hoped to make peace anyway.
Ok but something I thought about, Song was trapped as a mega monkey for 13 years, she was clearly shown to be very weak when mulholland went inside her mind at the end of season 2, she could hardly talk and she was just overall very weak physically, but when she was turned back into a human she didn't seem to retain much of that at all? I thought there would be way more side effects of being trapped as a mega monkey for over a decade than what we saw; sure she was a little weak at first, with struggling to get a few words out, and she also was having trouble remembering the scientific formulas/things she had made a decade prior, but I definitely thought she would have more difficulties with weakness (physical especially) that would last more than just a few moments.... It almost feels like it could have turned into something like a disability or chronic illness or something that she'd have to learn to adapt to, like in the owl house finale (spoilers) what happened with Eda. Maybe I'm just thinking too deeply about this, I dunno. I still enjoyed this season anyway!! But that's something I've thought about a lot and haven't really seen anyone else mention it much.
Agreed!!!! But then again that kinda would've needed more episodes to develop, and right after she was needed to talk to the bee queen if she was still struggling with her voice till that point ALOT wouldn't have been able to happen
The creator wants to have Kipo movie sequels! He said he’d do 100 if he could! The first one would be about Wolf’s Wolf family and the second about Troy and Benson. I didn’t watch season 3 yet tho!
@@Nick-eu5lb I know there will be movies so hopefully we learn more about Wolf and Troy and Benson. But I really want to learn more about when humans came to the surface and how a all out war began.
3 things Season 3 should've had were: 1. Finding Song Oak's anchor, (I still wanted to see her control her Mega form like Kipo) 2. Wolf and Margot reconciling (also Wolf's real name) 3. Bensons Biological Parents (If they're still alive)
1. Song had been a Mega Mute for over 10 years. I think she was beyond saving. Kipo was still developing and was very lucky to figure things out as early as she did. 2. Definitely. It was incredibly harsh to treat her like she was worse than Hugo. Margot was 5 years old being forced to do something her parents made her do. 3. Benson’s parents were apart of that cult and are most definitely dead.
I thought that they were going towards Margot and Wolf reconciling but I thought it was a bit underwhelming that all we got was Benson and Dave being stupid the entire time , accusing Margot of backstabbing them every 5 seconds( I mean they were kinda right) and it took up so much time Wolf and Margot could’ve had to talk things out or at least make amends
@@dreaming_destiny675 yea, and even kipo was in on the silliness too, i was like man why are spending so much time on this lol they act silly a lot in this season for some reason it almost reminds me of she-ra where the writers feel like they want to be funny and serious at the same time and it ruins the tone of a scene or a whole episode
Problems i have with season 3 1.The season is too short(especially when this is the final season) 2.They need to explain more about the origins of mutes. 3.Dr.Emilia should had been a different mega mute like falcon or eagle in my opinion. 4.The Ending felt rushed due to the lack of episodes. 5.They didn't explain more of wolf's origins. 6.They kinda left some plots of the story.
I agree, the show could have used a LOT more episodes. Don't know if it's a jackass company intentionally making it short or if it was creator's choice to make it a short, sweet show.
In my opinion, I loved Season 3. Season 1 caught my attention immediately when it was released, and I only wanted more once Season 2 came about. Your opinion is justified and I will respect it, but to me, Kipo outdid everything Steven Universe Future tried to do. And I literally grew up watching Steven Universe. So.. Kipo takes a cake here.
The body count surprised me. Spoilers: Rip Yumyan Hammerpaw,Hugo, the other "Cured" mutes, and Emilia's brother. (And all other season 1&2 casualties) Emilia got what she deserved. (She should have become a mega dog, that way it would be canon to say she is a Mega B***H.)
@@reactiongamerguy9537 yeah,I know some people would complain about it,but I wish the 5 YEARS LATER segment had a mention of a reversal formula to "uncure" them,or even showed Lord hammerpaw return.
@@SMon42 Agreed, But who Knows. Maybe their going to make a comic spin-off of the show talking about turning back the mutes back to their old forms. My personal headcannon is that they are in the verge of finding a "uncure" formula in the future because remember that it took more than 200 years for the researchers to figure out how to make a "Cure" And that Song and Lio both were the reason Hugo became a mute. Since both Song and Lio worked on the mutagen project together, they might still find the "uncure" in like another 2 years or so after testing out another thousand samples.
I think at one point i would've preferred them to not revert in the end (not because I hate them, it's because I like causing my favorite characters pain) but i didn't actually expect them to do it
@@supercvnt I felt like out of all the antagonist in Steven universe peridot got the best development, Spinel didn’t even seem like she was taken seriously in FUTURE by the writers , neither were the diamonds in the movie or future( they kinda seems like a joke) Steven went to them for help and they didn’t really help, spinel was handled so bad, she just broke out in song like that would help her character felt like it took a hard left turn
@@Surgehero5136 Spinel in future was trying her best to be funny, and I just want to remind you that the reason of making her is to be a funny gem, especially because her character development in the movie was like turning 180° back into her old self
ikr like it just came and there's already a major spoiler in the thumbnail, people with notifications on but without time to watch it are gonna get spoiled
I personally saw it less as a regression and more as a natural progression. Season 2: Not everyone can be diploed out of being evil and they need to be fought and removed from their position of power. Season 3: Fighting is one thing, killing a fellow human is another, Kipo is not ready to lose her humanistic values and would rather stick to her imprisoning thing because she isn't Wolf or Hugo.
agreed season 3 showed a lot of kipos mental struggles so much that she almost went against her own morals to “save the world” it was a battle not only physically but mentally a battle between doing what “needs to be done” and going against your morals or controlling those negative feelings and sticking to what u believe in
I don't think that this season falls behind the others, but i do think they could have done things a bit differently. Like bringing back the 'cured' characters, i wanted to see wolf reconnect with Margot a bit more, or see Yumyan hammerpaw again. Because they were kinda going somewhere with that antidote and Song and Lio making it.
I thought that's where they were going with it too, but thinking about it, the specific wording they used was "vaccine", not antidote, which I guess more implies that they were trying to immunize the existing mutes against being cured rather than re-mutate the ones who had been turned back into animals.
One of the most interesting aspect of the show was the title sequence, strange as the match cuts are, they were very creative in their presentations, and I enjoyed the extended version of the song in the final episode of the show.
I felt sad that season 2 ended and I had to wait for the next one,but this finale left me feeling nothing. Idk,they hammered down the same arguments already stablished in previous seasons such as “wolf now likes mutes and trusts Kipo”, “Kipo always gives people a million second chances”, “mutes and humans can be friends”, etc. I wish there was something new, a new character development or a new possibility that might even leave it at an open end. But 90 percent of the things I saw in season 3 I could’ve predicted from season 2 and the trailer alone. The Korean singers were the most refreshing thing they had, and it’s still repeatedly parodied in other shows. Also, they just sent Song and the dad on a few errands to search for the cure/vaccine, but that resulted in nothing and was never addressed again(wasted screen time or potential?).
They never said song was looking for a cure. They meant vaccine as in a vaccine to prevent any more curing. Vaccines cant cure sickness, just prevent it.
I finished watching 20 minutes ago and im still crying the creators were not allowed to do what they did yall know what im talking about *continues to sob in corner*
I swear there was no real reason for it... it really feels like they did it just to have a character death which really bugs me since he was my favorite character
@@littlepinktiger3891 yea scarlemanes death really didn’t feel needed, I mean I’m sad over , but it feels weird. Weird as in a why did this need to happen when he already made amends for what he did( or he was starting to) cause that’s the way it felt during the scene where he sacrifices himself.
@@misterdj6671 that’s 👏what👏im👏talkin👏about it’s a trope I didn’t expect to see in kipo and when it happened I didn’t understand the decision for this for him to die , he already had the mutes and humans accept him and basically pardon him so it didn’t make sense . I feel like there was no significance to his death , I wouldn’t say it was meaningless cause he was only trying to help and there was a lot more to explore with his character
This was a good season in my opinion. The only things I disliked was Hugo's death, and the fact that we didn't really see more into the characters backstories.
I mean he went through the whole redemption arc only to be killed. Hugo was my favorite character and his death kinda broke me for a bit. I sat there crying because he died protecting his sister and family.
This felt like the most "Walking Dead" season of the series, which is fine if you like that thing. But what I enjoy about Kipo is that it isn't your typical post-apocalyptic story. It is a journey, whether a physical one in S1 or a character one in S2. But here they have a base so they don't really go anywhere. It made even the dramatic moments feel weaker than past ones because this show relies heavily on the atmosphere. And when we're in a standstill most of the time, we don't get that same tension we get when we're always on the move. However, what I do appreciate is there are actual casualties. Even if people don't technically "die" they still are in a place of no return. And with a drama this serious, it's important to have lasting consequences. Some of them did feel forced but overall, I think it's necessary for this kind of story.
Emilia didn't die though, as you probably know, despite what you said in the video. And the reason why Kipo gave her a chance in the end wasn't in order to say that "violence is never the answer", Kipo and her friends JUST kicked Emilia's mega-mute butt. She's just...not dangerous anymore. She's out of followers of recourses or a plan and Kipo would have probably taken her to jail too, she said she deserved to be punished. She just gave her an opportunity to admit that she was wrong and to start becoming a better person. And her ending is pretty symbolic when you learn from the show's creator's tweet that Fun-gus will make her into his "forever sister" and take the form of her murdered brother, making her past mistakes hunt her for the rest of her life.
The things I didn’t like was how Song didn’t make a cure to make the animals back into wonderbeasts, and the fact that Hugo died. In the show it looked like nothing even hurt him? I was so confused. Still love the show though
@@jatwala8295 Something caused animals to become wonderbeasts,so in theory she could have figured out a way to remutate them. (She made her own child half giant Jaguar for crying out loud) As for Hugo,he crashed into a building after getting smacked by mega B****,so the injuries would likely be internal or covered by his fur,and the blood soaked up by his red cloths. (That's my explanation, but the actual reason is likely that it's a show meant to be somewhat kid friendly,so showing him with his skull caved in and guts and bones sticking out wouldn't be allowed.)
@@SMon42 i mean, even if she re mutated then, their brains going back to animal brains likelly deleted all the memories and personalities, even if they remutated they would be basically copies
@@gabricaroasabedoria7867 Probably not, They just need their anchors if they do lose their memories just like kipo or Song because she is still remembering her memories for her working on the cure. For yumyan it could be his ax or his pet flee, Camil the snake's could be his guitar or music in general, and for Billions the wolf, Probably just science and anything astronomical.
But they should’ve kept the character development and usually dreamworks has 4-7 season long series they SHOULDVE KEPT THE DEVELOPMENT OVER SEVERAL MORE SEASON and it would be more full, but that’s my opinion
That is a bit unfair, when season 2 came out I made several videos gushing over how much I loved it. Just because I had criticisms of this season doesn't mean I'm never satisfied.
@@CartoonUniverse you're honestly being way too critical and harsh. You are always the one who picks at everything and it's honestly not entertaining. This hosts videos made me unsubscribe. He is super negative about media that truly doesn't deserve it. I get this is an opinion but the tone he gives off is "I'm right and this is why." You ARE never satisfied, this person is completely fair and it's their opinion. Why is yours fair and theirs isn't?
Look at his season 1 and 2 reviews which he gave lots of praise, he literally gave season 2 the biggest compliment that only the best of Animated shows could receive. I'm sure he much like everyone else or even more wanted this season to be as great as the previous ones unfortunately, It was underwhelming not terrible It had great moments but It wasn't a great season still I enjoyed watching it.
@@manmanopoly8047 It wasn't underwhelming at all. If you truly think it is then you were expecting way too much out of 10 episodes. Just because he praises a show doesn't mean he isn't being overly harsh with a lot of his content.
I think the biggest problem with this show is pacing. I constantly felt like I was getting whiplash because everything was going so fast. Yumyun is pretty much gone forever after he’s cured and it feels like nobody ever sits down for a second to really feel that loss. The lack of reverence or moment to breathe makes emotional moments feel like they don’t matter because the characters just move on so quickly.
I have to say that Dr. Emilia gained sympathy from me once she became trapped in her mute form. Her transitioning into that easily terrified beast could have possibly been the only way for her to have been rehabilitated and turned good which as we know would never happen in her evil scientist human form. It would have been an Ironic fate for her to live as the one thing she hated most which were mutes.
The part when Kipo told the humans that the wall was death ivy pisses me off so bad. like emilia could've died there and the other humans will just think like "oh she die when touching the wall, hell nah ain't wanna touch that"
for something done in under a year to full completion it was good. Nothings going to be perfect. I think it was wonderful from start to finish i hope children see this. Its has alot of positive real world messages.
Are we not going to talk about how they chose to kill their redeemed villain and keep alive the one they didn’t/couldn’t redeem? Cuz Emilia’s probably still alive. Just eternally doomed to play with Fun Gus. But Scarlemagne’s gone. Also his death was very unnecessary in my opinion lol
What are you talking about?! This was the season which made me fall DEEPLY in love with the series. Honestly I was SO tired with all the run away or die situation, specially with all the allies they've made. And yeah, I do agree, it might have been interesting to see more development in Kipo's inner battle and pushing Emilia straight to her doom, but that would totally betray all of her ideals constructed throughout the show
I mean I strongly disagree with you, I absolutely loved the finale and I think this season was the best at least to me personally. Everything felt right and it’s just the perfect series to me.
i really agree, as someone who was obsessed with the first and second seasons, i thought this season was really disappointing and its frustrating to see that so many people think its great. it wasnt horrible or anything, but compared to the quality of the other seasons it was a letdown.
kipo is in my top 5 favorites of all time and i have nothing bad to say about this tv show, but it's only 5th in my list because kipo has the potential to be something much bigger. i think we need another season that shows what the hell went wrong with this world (say more than "a virus turned animals into mutes") what exactly is this virus and why it exists? what happend that made humans start living underground? show us more about the back story of the entire world in the show
I find points 1 and 3 especially dumb As for 1 this was the last season. When we're we supposed to see those things As for 3. Amelia was powerless. Defenceless and had lost her army. Killing her would be unnecessary and immoral.
She still poses an threat and she can always recruit more humans. She is not weak and in the end she died, so the writers acknowledge that she had to go down.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138 How does she still pose a threat? Kipo took away her army which was her main source of power. It doesn't take much to convince the humans to Kipo's way of thinking. They were willing Hugo a chance and he enslaved them. Hugo by your logic is a threat because he could build an army much faster with his pheromones so therefore Kipo should kill him.
@@GreatUniter The issue with that argument is that Hugo at the end of season 2 was imprisoned and he clearly had mentally accepted his situation. Along with that even with everything he did I think the show made it shown in season 2 that he could be redeemed but it would take a lot more time than what was given in season 2. This resulted in Kipo being the idealist that she was to choosing to imprison him with hope for his redemption which occurred by the midpoint of season 3. On the other hand Amelia still knew how to and was willing to create more cures which essentially kills mutes and she doesn't need an army to shoot and "cure" mutes. It shows how dedicated and deranged she is when she is willing to kill her brother that she had a good relationship with just so she could "cure" the mutes. If she was only taken hostage she would be completely willing to lie (which she has been shown to do consistently) her way out of her prison and go back to trying to "cure" mutes. It was also shown that there were multiple burrows at least at one point in time so there could be more. If there are any more it would give her a new supply of people to manipulate into an army.
If there was one thing I would complain about in Season 3, it was the episode that featured Margot, “A Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing.” I can’t tell you how much I’ve anticipated a character arc for Margot even since she was first shown in Wolf’s backstory so I was very excited to see her reappearance. However to have her go through an onslaught of verbal abuse for something she feels guilty for, and then fail to attempt to redeem herself by being too late to drop her deal and save Wolf, Benson, and Dave, only to have her be “cured” after the next episode. She went through all of that and didn’t have much time or much of a chance to redeem herself, and that really left a bad taste in my mouth. Heck, even Kipo of all characters seemed to want to put her head on a noose.
i agree that episode almost made me quit watching the show. kipo was willing to redeem scarlimane who enslaved humans, who wanted her to hurt her dad, tried to use her mom as a weapon, and had no problems hurting his own kind. but a child who made a bad choice deserves to die. the only reason i kept watching is i wanted to see what happens to scarlimane.
I always thought wolf and kipo had a sibling relationship, benson and kipo are close friend. So because of that I viewed kipo as a middle child, the child parents commonly forget and cared about less. Also I wish Hugo lived and that we got to see wolf’s true name because she did have one before she met kipo
all the hardcore fans say it's because she didn't have time well maybe she'd have more time if she didn't make season 1 have 53 episodes most of which were filler that didn't contribute to the plot
She wasted so much time on filler episodes, she couldn't make sure the design of the characters remain consistent, because every episode has to be in Steven's perspective it prevents more creative and imaginative storytelling
she gave us lapidot moments even teased about the ship being real and then nothing I would've been fine with them being friends but I got no development whatsoever regarding their relationship
Not everything is meant to be perfect but they deliver a new Season to the fans and I somewhat agree but I can’t just hate this series for small mistakes
lol I totally forgot about it when writing down my list. I was just going off of the top of my head at the moment. There are more shows I can list. Also it's spelled Amphibia.
Yeah, Western Cartoons are.making a comeback. I highly suggest you watch Scissor Seven, Trollhunters series, Dragon Prince, and Castlevania. All on Netflix.
I love dragon prince. and I have watched all the Tales of Arcadia series. Honestly think 3-Below is best, Wizards relied to heavily on its connection to Trollhunters. It was also too short, could have been its own story. Also after watching season 3 of Kipo (the final season) I hate it. I hate how it treated the "race war" with the humans and mutes. Everything was solved way too fast, and in an unrealistic way. Especially when "deaths" happened.
I liked season 3 but the only 2 things i hated were how will they cure the cured mutes and what happened to margo after being cured, hopefully thats covered in the planned wolf movie

I want more seasons. I just finished watching it after buying the DVD 😭. Season 3 kind of felt rushed. I wonder why they decided to end it at only 3 seasons ?
Really? I found the third point to be the biggest issue of all, they just robbed Kipo of a real climax to her story by having Mandu basically kill the bad guy for her so she wouldn't have to address the issues in her morality.
Let's talk about how at the end they just skip five years later without any explanation how they built the society its like avatar three season run and skips ahead to a happy ending in the city I want to see how they built the society in another season who agrees with me
Most def felt the same way. There could be another season. If they decide not to a spin off wouldn't be so bad they could try that if nothing else. Maybe their kids or something idk just throwing out ideas 💡
Because he felt like he deserve the second chance. kipo was in trouble and close to dying and she is the person who showed him there more to life than power there's friends, family and so much more. She worked hard to fix this world and he felt like she deserved to see the world that she fixed
I completely agree because unlike in things like star wars where Vader only wanted and realistically could only get Luke's forgiveness Hugo had been forgiven by almost everyone and he still had a full life to live that he wanted to live peacefully. It was done to show that he was willing to sacrifice himself to save Kipo which I completely understand but with him doing that it is the thought and meaning in his actions that count. It was also shown when he survived a burrow pretty much exploding with only some scars that he had amazing resilience and that the fall should not have killed him. I think that it would be much more realistic and that the show should have instead left him very injured with maybe the loss of a limb like an arm as a sacrifice.
@@justacooldude4504 I recently re-watched the episode and the crash was a steady downwards glide not even a fairly fast crash like in season 2 and there were no nearby pieces of metal for him to run into and get hurt by. He didn't even get hit by Emilia he just hit her landed and died. When I looked at the crash the worst injury I could realistically see him getting is a hurt waist that would heal in a couple weeks
Did anyone else find the animation more choppier this season? There were some scenes where the characters looked kinda off. Don't get me wrong I still loved season 3...Hugo's arc was my absolute favorite, Song turning back into human while it relieved me feels a bit too fast. I'm glad Emilia wasn't redeemed, feels rather fresh than most antagonists we have today. I guess I kinda sympathized with her at first until it showed she killed her brother following she'll ultimate just kill Kipo to get what she wants 💀💀💀
I feel like in the five years part they should have been able to create a cure for the mites that turned into normal animals CAUSE ITS BEEN FIVE YEARS AND THEY DONT HAVE A CURE FOR YUMYAN AND ALL THE OTHERS
I just finished the finale episode and I'm ganna be honest I was extremely disappointed. What ever happened to the vaccine Song was making? Did they just give up on it? Also I cannot take Emillia seriously with how she looked in the finale episodes. Also out of all the characters dying I feel like it would've made much more sense to kill off Emilia and not Hugo. And oh my gosh such little backstory explained. What is Wolfs real name? What the happened to Margot? I know she got "cured" but thats it? I wanted to see them actually talk about what happened. And how did Wolf get adopted into the wolves family? They mentioned how they only had her for a year, and she looked like she was really young. The series just feels really unfinished for me. AAARRRGGGHHHHHHHHH SO MANY QUESTIONS.
In my opinion, the show was great but it was really short. I expected 4 seasons with atleast 14-17 episodes. Sadly, the show consisted of 3 seasons with 10 episodes each. Now Idk what animated show to watch lol.
It felt rushed, because the mutes who were "cured" weren't reverted back, we never seen Wolf and Margot forgive each other because Margot was "cured" by Dr. Emilla.
I hate when shows make the villain -turned-hero die in a sacrifice in the end. Sometimes it's good, but it's also annoying. The villain didn't die, but the hero did? Oh please noo, Hugo deserved more 😔😔😔
They shouldn’t have killed Hugo and we should have gotten more backstory/development. Wolf, Hugo and kipo had the best development and are the best characters. S3 was good but the series could have been so much better. I felt like it had the voltron ending with them having a picnic at a statue of a dearly departed character.
I feel like Hugo’s death was... unnecessary? 1. because his character development was a bit too fast. I like his character development but the pace of him changing was too fast and unrealistic to me. 2. We didn’t really get to see how Hugo’s death even changed any character’s character development. All we got to see is him die, people cry, he gets a statue the end😕.
I think season 3 was great as it is. My only issue was how Humanoid Emilia still looked as a mega. She didn't really look all too much like a walrus, even having feet, which was weird. But maybe it boils down to the fact that mentally she still despised mutes and so physically she didn't transform all the way.
I really didn't like how this season doesn't explain how this new mute and human society works or how it came about. How do mutes that are obligate carnivores supposed to eat? Is the show suggesting that centuries of bad blood is vanquished that easily? How do the various ecosystems across the planet work if all organisms more or less fill the same niche? Why is the human antagonist Dr. Emelia irreedmable when the mute antagonist Hugo isn't that better of a person? Both she and Hugo have attempted to kill a family member but the only difference is that Emilia was successful. Why is Kipo quick to turn against her people when they pose a threat to mutes but doesn't do the same to mutes?
Difference is that Scarlemagne became Evil because of both the Humans and Mutes behavior and that unlike Emilia he was deep down a good person. Emilia was always bad and pretty much evil from the gt go. Scarlemagne only became this way.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138 Emelia was the way she was because of her upbringing. Her father made her the way she was. She had a soft side for her family but she placed the ideals she was indoctrinated with since birth over her family. Her father raised her to place the mission of their burrow first and everything else second. Scarlemagne didn't turn evil until his adoptive father prioritized a baby over him.
This show continually glosses over what obligate carnivores are supposed to do, but given that the timbercats apparently now live on pancakes, it seems like the mutations have just made everything an omnivore.
@@zoro115-s6b That could be it. I got the idea that while the Timbercats can eat pancakes due to their mutations they wouldn't get any of the essential nutrients they need. They have to eat meat on the side.
@@GreatUniter Realistically speaking though, animals don't generally enjoy things that don't contain some form of useful nutrients for them. A normal cat can't process that carbohydrates are most of what pancakes are made of, and so has tastes evolved not to enjoy them. Since the timbercats and even the snakes enjoy purely vegetarian foods so much, I think it's fair to assume they've developed the ability to process them. It's also worth noting that there's still a fair few animals around that haven't developed any form of sapience.
Do you agree? Which season was the best? Which was the worst? How did you feel about the ending?

Don't get me wrong Hugo is absolutely my favorite character but he was a dictator throughout the 2 seasons just because he had a tragic backstory doesn't mean it excuses all of his actions, his death was a well deserved redemption arc for him in my opinion
@Rad Raspberry Razmin Fox you ever heard of a vaccine?
@@ennieminymoo6675 not the same. Emilia killed out of pride and the need to be right. Hugo killed because of survival.
@@Sandy-wm2nv
Hugo did not turn evil until Lio abandoned him.

It would’ve been cool if she’d stayed like that but it wouldn’t make sense for Kipo to just give up on her
I have 2 main problems with the season.
EXACTLY
THE LACK OF A FREAKING CURE FOR THE VACCINE MADE ME SO MAD! LIKE YUMYANNNNNN
Had the same two issues/questions after finishing the season. They killed Hugo, why couldn’t the others be saved??

1. Finding Song Oak's anchor, (I still wanted to see her control her Mega form like Kipo)

3. Bensons Biological Parents (If they're still alive)
1. Song had been a Mega Mute for over 10 years. I think she was beyond saving. Kipo was still developing and was very lucky to figure things out as early as she did.

But 90 percent of the things I saw in season 3 I could’ve predicted from season 2 and the trailer alone.

Even if people don't technically "die" they still are in a place of no return. okay that was literally my only complaint ⚰ the way they all collectively forgot about the vaccine once they found out the cure didnt work on Kipo fff
I think season 3 was good and plus the end was good.
The end was amazing, it just was weird seeing them older.
But they should’ve kept the character development and usually dreamworks has 4-7 season long series they SHOULDVE KEPT THE DEVELOPMENT OVER SEVERAL MORE SEASON and it would be more full, but that’s my opinion
Logan Fang I agreee with ur opinion
Some people are just never satisfied. *shrugs*
@@Therealfrostflower completely agree tbh
The part when Kipo told the humans that the wall was death ivy pisses me off so bad. like emilia could've died there and the other humans will just think like "oh she die when touching the wall, hell nah ain't wanna touch that"
Would've saved us a whole lotta trouble
I'm curious about what happened to Margot and her brother?
They got "cured" by Emilia.
for something done in under a year to full completion it was good.
Yeah agreed lol
I was hoping that they would have found a way to undo the "cure"
Emilia didn’t die, she’s just trapped with fun gus
Best character development hands down 😤👍
wut, it just came out and it's the last... dude chill
That doesn't really change its issues.
@@CartoonUniverse I never said that tho, I meant that it's not healthy for any of you to just binge watch all the season in a day lol
Juan Valdivia hahahahahahahahahhaaaahahahahah you seriously think that isn’t good
@@juanvaldivia8001 yeah I spend a good portion of my night binging it it's almost 2am for me
What are you talking about?!
@King Pistachion ok lol??? The show is perfect this video is wrong
i really agree, as someone who was obsessed with the first and second seasons, i thought this season was really disappointing and its frustrating to see that so many people think its great. it wasnt horrible or anything, but compared to the quality of the other seasons it was a letdown.
kipo is in my top 5 favorites of all time and i have nothing bad to say about this tv show, but it's only 5th in my list because kipo has the potential to be something much bigger. i think we need another season that shows what the hell went wrong with this world (say more than "a virus turned animals into mutes") what exactly is this virus and why it exists? what happend that made humans start living underground? show us more about the back story of the entire world in the show
I find points 1 and 3 especially dumb
As for 1 this was the last season. When we're we supposed to see those things
As for 3. Amelia was powerless. Defenceless and had lost her army. Killing her would be unnecessary and immoral.
She still poses an threat and she can always recruit more humans. She is not weak and in the end she died, so the writers acknowledge that she had to go down.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138 well she dosent die she's just stuck with Fun Gus
She probably died of starvation in like a week
@@basilofgoodwishes4138
How does she still pose a threat?
If there was one thing I would complain about in Season 3, it was the episode that featured Margot, “A Wolf in Wolf’s Clothing.”
I can’t tell you how much I’ve anticipated a character arc for Margot even since she was first shown in Wolf’s backstory so I was very excited to see her reappearance.
I know this is off topic but Fun Gus kinda reminds me of SCP-3663, both monsters, both kids, both sapient/sentient, both wants to just play, :3
I always thought wolf and kipo had a sibling relationship, benson and kipo are close friend. So because of that I viewed kipo as a middle child, the child parents commonly forget and cared about less. Also I wish Hugo lived and that we got to see wolf’s true name because she did have one before she met kipo
It's harder to end a story or show than it is to start one or tell the middle of it.
Most final seasons are worse, not always, but I mean generally.
Yeah, I agree. Avatar and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood have great finales.
Sometimes it’s hard to make good ending.
I agree but we got Jamack living his best life and you can't top that
I take a lot of offense to this..... but yeah it could have bin better
This is one of those times I think most of the audience would really like for the creators to "sell out" by making more seasons.
Dr Emilia hated mutes But Became one on purpose, and rip hugo
It's not my favorite but it's not bad better than season 5 of Steven universe
I have never agreed with someone this much there's so much they didn't touch upon Steven universe as a whole had problems
all the hardcore fans say it's because she didn't have time well maybe she'd have more time if she didn't make season 1 have 53 episodes most of which were filler that didn't contribute to the plot
Sorry for ranting so much I used to be an hardcore su fan and I'm pissed that I didn't realise all the problems with it
Not everything is meant to be perfect but they deliver a new Season to the fans and I somewhat agree but I can’t just hate this series for small mistakes
Season three left me in tears when Hugo died :(
I haven't even seen it yet but why does everyone making it sound like a movie
Owl House, Hilda, Kipo, Carmen Sandiego, Glitch Techs, She-ra. The best animated series of recent decade.
YES U HAVE TASTE
Amphibia is insulated that she not on list
lol I totally forgot about it when writing down my list.

I completely agree and I want more seasons just like 50 episodes at LEAST
I somewhat agree with your first two points, but not so much the third.
Really? I found the third point to be the biggest issue of all, they just robbed Kipo of a real climax to her story by having Mandu basically kill the bad guy for her so she wouldn't have to address the issues in her morality.
@@deepcut7788 well I mean Emilia's still alive so...
Very perfect season to me tho, but opinions so yeah.
@@LucidShots I feel the same way
Here is a idea: What if they extract ADN of muts like the dr emilia with that big mut and then with that ADN puts it on YumYam and Camille
We not gon talk abt Hugo’s death 😰😰
I thought the finale was beautiful, but I don't think it was perfect. But I would say it is quite a bit better than the Steven Universe finale. ❤
The only thing I didn’t like was that they killed Hugo. Like why???
@@thejaycrewsshow9827 I understand but I’m just upset with shows killing off my fav characters
@@boysmanley997 ikr like compared to the rest of the stuff he survived I think he would’ve most definitely survived that
@@justacooldude4504 I recently re-watched the episode and the crash was a steady downwards glide not even a fairly fast crash like in season 2 and there were no nearby pieces of metal for him to run into and get hurt by. He didn't even get hit by Emilia he just hit her landed and died. When I looked at the crash the worst injury I could realistically see him getting is a hurt waist that would heal in a couple weeks
Your voice is so calming
Sorry I’m new here
I’m literally crying my eyes out because I just saw the last episode and scarlimane was my favorite
Yoo. I thought I was the only one who thought the animation was different from season 1 and 2.
We do it together ! 💜
When a journey ends, a new journey begins #KipoChapterTwo 💜
The vaccine wasn’t needed Emilia was defeated there was peace and it wasn’t gonna turn the mutes back anyways It’s a vaccine not a cure
In my opinion, the show was great but it was really short. I expected 4 seasons with atleast 14-17 episodes. Sadly, the show consisted of 3 seasons with 10 episodes each. Now Idk what animated show to watch lol.
I was SO mad that yummyan got turn back to a cat I was so sad I cried
I think the whole show is one masterpiece and s3 is deffenetly not the worst
Agreed this is literally avatar it's not better than avatar but it's the closest thing this decade to avatar
nothing was bad about it its better than most of the shows nowadays
In my eyes she did choose what to do with Amelia. Leave her there. They debated for a moment wether to help and just decided not to.
Early gang :)
I really liked season 3 it was it was good it was actually my favourite that’s just my opinion tho :)
Yay I got hearted :)

How quickly time flies! Three seasons, all in 2020!
I know right? Ah well, at least we'll get to see what 2021 brings so that should be interesting!
@@ember-fire7583 Agreed!
Hold on man, Kipo was going to give Dr. Emilia a chance and was like she doesn’t deserve this kind of punishment
I like how the called it a “Cure.” It’s really just putting the demons wrath on those mutes.
@@basilofgoodwishes4138
Emelia was the way she was because of her upbringing.
@@zoro115-s6b
That could be it.
