Rewatching season 1 through this video really made me respect this shows writing. A lot of the things I thought were just "cute" kids show type choices are actually setting up huge plot points. iE singing to the mega mute monkey, and every mute of the week story,

I believe the OP meant what caused original mutation over 200 years ago. I also believe we'll never get answer for that, since IIRC, while creators may have some thoughts about it, they don't intend to explore it on the series, and concentrate on Kipo's story.

The shitty thing is that the good stories usually have a very clearly defined structure. You can see that the writers of Kipo came up with a good plan to fit 3 seasons. I would love if they went further, but only if it comes naturally to them, otherwise they are at risk of making a new threat look forced and unbelivable.
I watched season 3 last night and when the end came I was surprised to see it jump to 5 years later. I guessed it was supposed to be the end of the show at that point. I’m sad to find out this is the last season. I love this show!

I feel that since season three didn’t really have enough breathing room to tell all the key plot points and wrap up all the loose ends that maybe they should have some supplemental material to wrap up some of the loose ends

Season three felt like it didn’t have time to say everything without rushing it he got everything done but it felt like they had to get it done fast and I didn’t have room to breathe and that there could’ve been a few more things that could’ve been fleshed out a bit more
This is a fantastic summary of the show but already being a watcher I had to facepalm quite a few times when there were slight inaccuracies in the summary. Nevertheless amazing work and as a whole I loved this.

She doesn't, there were four different stem cells, four different eggs, that were given each traits of different animals, one egg/stem cell equals one human, so the stem cell that had the jaguar DNA is the one that managed to develop an embryo and later Kipo. One of the other eggs/stem cells, the monkey, was absorbed by the maternal host, Song, and mutated her cells through microchimerism, turning her into a mute hypbrid and later the mega monkey which she is now currently stuck as.
It's a little bit more detailed than most other cartoons, but that's why I like it, no other shows really cater to nerds as much as Kipo does. It's like a show designed for nerds and I love it.

She solves all the problems, the side characters are becoming more and more useless, she got jaguar powers which makes wolf kinda useless, shes sharp which also eliminates the two dudes as well. Honestly, i wanted to love this show.
I agree. Kipo was even able to vanquish centuries of bad blood almost instantaneously. Kipo has the brains, brawn, and the leader so she renders everyone else useless. I also don't see how the society they built can possibly function when many mutes are obligate carnivores so they have to eat meat.
I really want more of bensons backstory like he’s hiding as much as wolf is he’s just not making a point of hiding it so he’s never really asked
