Socket 1 is just offloading work to Socket 2 which then does the work in it's own RAM and CPU, RAM can't be allocated across sockets. You can't think of it as one CPU. Socket 1 is acting the scheduler for both sockets so you they work together but you can't think of them as the same.

With the ability to share GPU resources with sr-iov you wouldn't even need an insane number of GPUs for more gamers as long as you use a very expensive powerful GPU. I think an Epyc 64 core version would be more interesting, though the clock speeds are much lower. You'll probably need some kinda 2000w power supply on a 240v circuit

Because of the overhead needed for viaualisation and the price premium of high density products like the nano and the $2.7k cpus and the 32gb ram sticks. You're simply better off buying seperate machines.

Because of the overhead needed for viaualisation and the price premium of high density products like the nano and the $2.7k cpus and the 32gb ram sticks. You're simply better off buying seperate machines.
