10:33 The FPS was higher because the intel CPU was tested in a snow biome where there are not many trees. And, the AMD CPU was tested in a forest biome that's why it got less FPS because trees can lower your FPS a lot.

You are aware if you are in a forest there would be more culling and it wouldn't have to render as much, or maybe I don't understand, but I think that is how that works
The booting time depends on the motherboard too

@@cheesearmy1 it's not like it will be unstable right away. It takes like few months or years to get to that point of degradation. Now with the bios fix degradation or instability isn't a issue anymore for new cpu's. As for used already degraded cpu's rma is the only option. Intel increased the warranty to 5 years to all there 13th and 14th gen cpu's so everyone is covered.

This has to me the most unscientific testing i have ever seen. "lets see which one powers on first" yeah dude that's a stupid test because it has no bearing on actually real world performance. Here's why AMD gets another point : Guiny used shaders at 2 different places with both CPU's and icy biomes preferably gets higher fps than forest biomes due to lack of animations like waving leaves. Great video tho. W Guiny......

For minecraft specifically, the reason why the i7-14700k performs a lot better while running around or standing still is because of it's insanely good single threaded performance, which intel has historically had going for it compared to AMD, but when it comes to flying around, loading in new chunks and map data the ryzen 7 7800x3d took the lead there because of its enormous amounts of cache, the additional cache allows the CPU to store and access more data quickly, which is advantageous when dealing with large amounts of information (like loading new terrain) and other data heavy environments in minecraft.
Well if Intel could optimize their CPU it might be better especially on power usage 💀

Why AMD might be more worth it:
1. Better upgrade path on AM5
2. Intels 13th and 14th gen CPUs are prone to degradation and failure over time.
3. Guiny probably forgot to turn on AMD Expo ram profile in the BIOS which is very important on AMD PCs. This might have had quite a bit of a negative impact on the AMD PC's performance.

What you never mentioned is that AMD CPUS only use half your power meaning if it's overclocked it'll be a BEAST. (make sure to have liquid cooling PLEASE if you overclock)
Another thing: MSI boot up time is known to be slow, not based on cpu but more based on the motherboard

@@LunarLikeFortnite not only is the performance cut in half but its cut in half by amd itself. they optimize their own chips to reduce power consumption since its meant to be a budget cpu. if you don't cheap out on power supply and cooling, and switch to windows 10 AS WELL AS OVERCLOCK it then you will get 4X the power (PLEASE USE GOOD POWER SUPPLY AND LIQUID COOLING AND USE A GOOD LIQUID COOLING)

Why should he? This test evolves around testing the chips like most people do wich means not changing anything in the Bios. Besides PBO is Considerd Overclocking and so voids any Warranty

The Intel CPU may have 20 cores but that doesn't matter as it only has 8P cores and 12 of the cores are E cores, which don't really matter for gaming. Additionally, Raptorlake i7 and i9s are known for literally breaking themselves. NEVER, I repeat, NEVER buy a 13th or 14th gen Intel i7/i9.

i use a 14900k with 253 watts on max load ( cuz the Mobo manufacturers pushed a lot of voltage and wattage on 13 and 14 gen cpus, so be sure to switch to intel baseline profile instead of Asus/msi/gigabyte profiles )

I used lunar client on both because it comes with optifine whereas normal Minecraft does not lol

The 14700k isn't really the fastest Intel CPU it's the 14900k but its fair since both CPUs in the vid are the same price
The startup test isnt valid because the boot relies mostly on the motherboard and sdd, which at least the motherboard is clearly different
It would've been more fair if you'd put a 7950X3D against a 14700k or 14600k
Actually, the 7 7800X3D gets about the same fps in games as the 14900K. The same goes for the 7950X3D

The shader tests should've been done in the same biome cause I think rendering a lake or a frozen ocean isn't as hard as rendering a forest

I dont think you can give either amd or intel a point for booting cause it really depends on the motherboard and you cant buy the same motherboard for diffrent cpu sockets
The reason for amd system being so slow in bootup is cause its training its ram everytime you turn it on by default. Turning it off so it only trains when required makes the amd pc bootup as fast as intel. Speaking from experience as my ryzen 5 7600 pc took like 40 seconds to boot normally but takes like 10 seconds with the setting "memory context restore" on off

U forgot to mention the unstability of intel cpus, ryzen all the wayyyyy
in modern versions of Minecraft, optimization is terrifying. advanced pre-binned i7-7700K on chiller and 5500 MHz + 5100 MHz ring (1.5v) + tuned 32GB memory B-die 4200 MHz CL15 (latency 32 ns). MAXIMUS IX APEX. Minecraft loads the processor by 90-100% on a drawing of only 10-12 chunks and freezes terribly and lags.

The upgrade path is important. Especially since we are about to get the 9800x3d.
While yes, the i7 14700K has 20 total cores only 8P of them is usually used in most games while the 12E cores is used for other things which goes the same for the threads which you would also get 16 threads for gaming while the rest would be for other things like CPU demanding tasks and this is just for a better understanding of the other viewers that is unaware of it and honestly if Minecraft was to use E cores then a good chance the 14700K would have a better advantage.
