That JENOVA theme at the end really gives the feels of that hopeless and inevitable fate of the cloaked guys, a fate that even Cloud could inevitable face eventually

Not quite. Roche was a SOLDIER; He was implanted with Jenova cells long before he met Cloud.

@@rasdan1192 They are, but as of FFVII's opening point, Shinra does both to SOLDIER candidates.
It wasn't about power. He said to Cloud in Midgar he had "so many miles on the clock", and then "You keep getting stronger" after the Junon fight.
He knew he was degenerating and didnt want to fade away, he wanted to live to the full, and go out in a blaze of glory against the man he respected.
I love how nobody used to care about those cloaked ppl but starts to feel bad for them when characters we know turning into one of them Roche, the hotel owner from kalm and possibly Cloud.

Well, they are random strangers that are beyond saving. Obviously you're going to feel more sad for the characters you actually know. If anything keeping them alive so they can lead them to Sephiroth rather than ending their suffering is what's cruel, though necessary.
For Roche and Broden its a living death, what they become is opposite to everything they were as people.
I fucking loved Roche and was heartbroken when he became another robe guy
The way the music at 3:00 gets pretty sinister really matches the seriousness of Roche’s state.
First I diden't like him in Remake.

Nah. Music aside, this part was shit. Roche is a cringe, nonsense character, if there's even enough going on with him to call him that. He was fun in Remake, but they cranked up the cringe and the stupid for him in this game. Just a glorified plot device at the end of the day. I liked his duel with Cloud in Junon, but his other appearances should've just been cut from the game.
@@jacksondavis9442he sees himself as clouds rival. He wanted to beat him so bad he took hojo experiment to become one with the reunion and degrade.
That's compelling enough for him to keep coming back. Yes a plot device but it shows the significance of how wicked hojos plans are for solder

The way I was in tears during his whole battle my poor boy I hate Hojo 😭
This song gave me the strength to put up 275lbs for 3 on bench. Musical genius.
He'll probably return in part 3, but in what form who knows, it won't be pretty. When Rufus was in the helicopter with Hojo and robed Roche, Rufus tells Hojo he has enough "material" then the camera shows Roche.

I did originally do that but I've also been told NOT to do that since I heard those channels were targeted first. It's an old trick at this point and frankly I don't think it matters how any of us approach this
The algorithm detects the music using an AI, so it doesn't matter what title you put.
