God, when this hit with the Shinra theme at the end I had to pause for a few seconds to let it soak All of a sudden I was young again, it was late at night... and I'm trying to climb Shinra tower again. So good.
Can we take a minute to appreciate how sick the Crimson Mare Mk.II looks? It's like a Labor had a baby with an Armored Core and got Wing Gundam Zero's Twin Buster Rifle and Getter 2's drills with Big-O's pistons as a birthday gift.
Scarlet is honestly a badass character to me. Ruthless, and actually has really good weapons that she had designed herself. She's not a buffoon like the other Shinra directors. And she's hot.
She and Hojo were always the brains behind Shinra, but since Hojo is insane that leaves her as the main face of competence in the company. At least until she gets into a bitchslap fight with Tifa.
Scarlet is a great fight both times we fight her. Her trash talking and unapologetically bitchy attitude with great themes that get you pumped is the perfect combo. Have to respect she actually is willing to get her hands dirty. Heidegger has been pretty quiet huh? I can’t wait to fight her again in the Proud Clod with Yuffie and Barret.
I am protesting that Scarlet's seat Private Parts was not included in the battle. This man dogs it on all fours for his mistress, and then he gets offscreened as if he's even a named character. PROTEST I do. PRO. TEST.
Surprisingly, this battle was a lot easier for me than Palmer's mech. Probably helped that I was apparently three levels above the mission cause I did a lot of side quests, but you know, even then there were some close calls, mainly in terms of trying to figure out her moves and the block and dodge timing for said moves.
Holy shit, another Birth of a God tease at 1:13! Stands out like a sore thumb! For anyone interested, there is another one in the Midgardsormr theme when transitioning from phase 2 to 3.
@@VincentValentineGaming not this one the specimen H1024 that scarlet releases to cloud Barret , cait and Red just under the reactor before we switch to the girls. phase 2 and 3 of that fight has a sick electric guitar and drum sequence
@@VincentValentineGaminghonestly it’s been really hard to find the track that plays before that specimen fight. The smaller specimens before the the two boss fights here in the reactor. Just a request if you can of course
It was also the Crimson Mare's theme in Intermission, with Phase 2 getting an extra woodwind instrument near the beginning of the part before it would sound like the Arsenal's Phase 2 theme. (Which I expected to hear in this game instead of the banger we got for Phase 2 music here.)
I know it's for gameplays sake but whenever the mech gets staggered, i always just think to myself: "YUFFIE, JUST THROW A KNIFE INTO HER HEAD, JUMP ON THAT MECH AND END IT EARLY"
Square-Enix seem to mess the end of the story both times both parts of the remake - but they least got main story and OST correct. I just don't get why we have fight Sephiroth twice he is the FINAL BOSS!!!! he should only be fought at end of the 3rd game!!!!!
Even tho it’s actually not Sephiroth at all. It’s JENOVA you are fighting the whole time, she’s just taking on the form of Sephiroth, seeing as how Sephiroth is in the North Crater the whole time.
@@NottSaying doesn't matter in original we do not fight Sephiroth once.... We fight Jenova most of the time. In both remakes we have already fought the final boss. and in remake he uses most of Safer Septh's moves in ff7R part 1. There two is also too much bs timeline crap and Chadley bs and they ruined the most iconic death scene in the game. the Last boss should Have been Jenova period and also ancient city was rushed where was the exploration of it. Also prefer ATB in RPGS as there little to no tactics without and that's what made ff 1-10, 13 good.

Everyone talking about the final phase, but just way it starts at 1:16 absolutely stunned me. That buildup was amazing.

Phase 2 = rufus shinra + hardcore metal remix
This theme along with the themes of Rufus and the Turks pretty much confirms that putting the Shinra motif in there guarantees a banger.
I'm really happy they gave scarlet a bigger role in the story in this remake. In the original, she barely did anything.

the final boss is not Sephiroth. It's SAFER Sephiroth, and so far we haven't even gotten a hint as to what that'll be like.
