FF12 was my introduction to Gil, he was such a cool superboss in a game already filled to the brim with cool superbosses that I was surprised when I played 5 and he was actually a somewhat easy regular boss there.
I kept disarming him in the first phase, so the fight didn't last that long for me. (Cloud is still a god in this game when you master his punisher mode and know when to dodge unblockable attacks)
@@strahinjagov All Dynamic does is sync the enemies level to yours so you cannot overlevel them, since Gilgamesh is a level 70 fight it's impossible to out-level him anyway
I was glad to encounter FF5 Gilgamesh, and he has traversed through rifts to recent FF titles such as, _"FF:Strangers of Paradise"_ (DLC) and now, _"FF7: Rebirth_
Strangers of paradise version lacked decent music, the amount of wasted potential on an important recurring character was an injustice, I'm glad whoever did the music for this did an ff14 with it and saved the best for the last fight

Im kind of upset that this challenge is so much higher level than you're supposed to be in the first playthrough, i did EVERYTHING i possibly could with no grind and finish the game at level 50. Because all the challenges were level 65 i literally had to play the game on easy mode to have a chance without spending 20 minutes on every attempt of every boss fight. I have no shame on doing that in order to experience the finale of a quest i was looking forward to and didnt want to grind or play through the game again just so i could see how it ends. but im gonna do my best and try to do it again on hard mode when i have the proper level.
You can beat in first playthrough with out heavy grinding i did it dynamic this fight really requires you to utilize all the mechanics, synergy, abilities, limits, switching characters and you need a good materia loadout too.
@@kei7540 The problem for me wasn't Gilgamesh, but the gimmick dual-summon fights before, that felt unecessary and kind off unfair. Like the Godskin duo in Elden Ring :>
@@kontosenpai8780 those weren't too bad when you got a strategy. The only one I despised was Odin and Alexander that one was super super annoying. Alexander constantly doing stupid AOE attacks and if you don't damage odin enough he kills you
@kei7540 I'm one month later than you (just finished that fight myself yesterday) but Phoenix and Kujata were harder to me, simply because the fight was so goddamn long, making it unable for me beat WITHOUT using items. I mean, yeah Alexander is annoying but you can keep track of where most his attacks will land, and Odin is basicaly a timing puzzle.
Probably the best Boss in the whole game. Finally, About time the music in Rebirth was lacking compared to remake, but right here it began to pick up the pace.
