    Hi mate, I have an 07 ER 6F and I would really like to know how the rear hugger gets installed. I just ordered a ton of mods for my bike.
    You should tail tidy your bike and it will look much better.

    Loving the channel at the minute, the slow mo clips with music over them I just love for some reason. Also a good run over of all the mods you've done. Use something like autosol and some fine steel wool to try and clean the exhaust headers, give them a shiny finish again. Although I think you can use harpic household cleaner too as one of the other commenters said 👍🏽

      Spicy110 has a video of him cleaning up his DRZ headers, and a lot others do aswell I'm sure

      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Samuel Wicks cheers Sam! Yeah I get a lot of satisfaction out of the slow mo with music. Better on a sunny day tho!
      I might clean up the headers but not sure how long they will stay clean when I'm riding every day, often in the day. Do you think it's worth it?
      Before Christmas some fucker was tipping my bike over in the night. Happened twice in a couple of weeks. It's damaged the bodywork and engine casing a bit so I'm kindof reluctant to put too much time and money into it as stuff like that can happen again. I don't leave it on the street overnight anymore but I don't have a garage either. London life!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Samuel Wicks actually I've just googled "ER6n 2006" and in all of the pics they look tarnished like mine. Maybe they're just that colour?

    • @SMU_3L
      @SMU_3L 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldnt bother cleaning the headers, especially if you're possibly thinking of selling it soon. Thats my thinking, seeing as you've been doing test rides. They would last a little bit, but not too long especially commuting in the winter over here ahhaha. Really? tipping it over? I noticed the scratches on the fairings in the video. Luckily I dont live in london, i live near guildford, but I have a garage :D

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Samuel Wicks yeah been test riding but again if I don't have a garage it might not be worth getting a new bike! I caught them on cctv doing it. Neighbours called the police the second time it happened because they heard the alarms. Tbf they came straight round and I showed them the cctv but there's nothing they can do. Fake or stolen plates and full face helmets on. Bastards!

    Hi Sir, I also own a 2006 Er6n for half an year. Unfortunately I droped it twice and broke the left break lever. I really like the shorty lever, bar end mirror and saddle bag supports on your bike. They look really match the bike. May I have more information about their model? Thanks! I hope I could find the same in Hong Kong.

      Hi mate - the shorty levers and mirrors are both off eBay. I also have a brand new set of the saddle back rails in my garage somewhere - email me at contact@motobob.cc if you’re interested in buying from me. I’m happy to post them internationally

    I know this was a little while back, I hope you are still active on the channel, I subbed recently. I'm getting an 08' ER6f delivered sometime this week, at some point I would like to upgrade/mod some parts, any good sites to check out that you could point out to me please? I've been looking around and not found much for aftermarket components.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much all of mine came from eBay! You can search with the year make and model to find plenty of stuff, but also some of the universal parts will fit the ER6. Hope you enjoy the new bike!

      I know i may need 2 be blocked for this from any other conversation EVER but download AliExpress app in the play/applestore ive had loads of stuff from there and 98% of it hasn't been cheap $h!t. The search engine isnt that great cus u cant filter past motorcycle parts and sometimes using too many words gives you like 5 items but there is some top quality parts on there. Jus try it out. They sell all sorts so dont be surprised if u get the odd sex toy show up lol

      @@kyleruddock9100 😂 This was over two years back bud. I still have the bike and done quite a lot to it since, got levers from Aliexpress, discoloured but cheap enough to no be bothered and had them a while now. Check it out on my channel if you like.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MechRider89 my dad's had a couple of his saddles re-covered for his BMWs. I wonder if you could do something similar but get them to put some gel in?

    • @MechRider89
      @MechRider89 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only thing I found is buying gel and carving it into the seat foam. After riding my brother FZ1 with a gel seat I knew I had to try and find one for the ninja. Riding 1000km with a 80lb back pack on your back sucks as i found out a few years go.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +MechRider89 hope you find something. There's a company on eBay UK selling er6n seat covers but I don't know if they do a gel one. Found this one for example, but you would have to cover the seat with it: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/112252443944 not sure if something similar available in Canada?

      @@motobob oh. Got it. I am thinking of getting one for my er6n 2008, but i guess i'll have to fit it on the side off the center. Or maybe the bike thing will do, after all you wont be riding at 70-80mph with your phone on the bike

    Hey man I own a 2016 ER6n. I hear an annoying rattling noise from the speedo area from 3000-4000 rpm. Many forums say it's common and dates back to the 2005-6 models as well. I wanna know is there a fix for it? Cause I've ridden another ER6n (same year model) which doesn't having any issues as such.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey darshan. I’ve got this problem too. I think the only way to fix it is to dismantle the clock housing and reassemble with foam tape between all the plastic. But I started wearing earplugs when I fitted a louder exhaust, so mine doesn’t bother me anymore

    • @Zen0sa
      @Zen0sa 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      er6n 2016 model i have too. And for me its comming from the Key dust chutter. Or soemthing inside the key mechanisme. Lots of kawasakis have it. Try to hold the key down and see if it goes away. if it does try using a spring on your key. Mine is without rattles now :) PS: garage sais its normal vibes and nothing to do on it... I personally didnt wanna mess arround taking everything out to check key mechanism for some rubbers. Spring solved it.

    Nice mods, but I think dead flat bars would have been better.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Palo Mides yeah Palo I thought about that after I ordered them. For sporty riding they would almost certainly be better, but what do you think about riding in city traffic? I think it helps to be a bit more privy when you filter etc.

    • @yajnaamakusa8786
      @yajnaamakusa8786 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kawasakis have the most 'ideal' tank designs of all the manufacturers as they make bikes that are designed to be slightly more edgy than the others in any category, and they know that when you do fun riding you're gripping the tank with one knee or both. But they also know that flat bars aren't the norm, so they ship standard bars, probably in the expectation that the rider will change them. Flat bars enhance the effect of the excellent ergonomics of Kawasaki tanks, and enforce gripping the tank with your knees. At slow speeds in city traffic, they just murder roundabouts and give a lot more confidence on slippery surfaces. I find that they don't negatively impact filtering at all. They just put a big smile on your face. I'm totally sold on them and believe everyone should change over to them (check my video on it). However, in a lot of situations, the ideal isn't ideal. For example, a single seat and no pillion and no luggage is best for motorcycling performance, but not always practical.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Palo Mides thanks for the info palo. It's not too tough to swap the bars over so maybe I'll swap them at some point. Part of me wants to get the rack and mudguard off and make it as sports orientated as possible, but I absolutely love the weekend rides that we do. We're heading to Bruges next weekend for example. Hoping to do more and more trips in the summer too

    How about a £1 mod (sort of mod). You could clean those tarnished / rusty downpipes Harpic Bleach. See this video (there are many other examples) th-cam.com/video/ZXcM6g-JaBo/w-d-xo.html
    Next up is reflective wheel tape. Although your rims looks silver, you can get Taylor33 High Intensity rim tape in Amber or Yellow to go with the gold accents? - its super reflective and a must for the night time commute.
    Do you have a radiator guard? Thats another mod you could look into.
    Finally, perhaps a horn upgrade? Mine used to sound like a 50cc scooter and now sounds just like a car. Most standard bike horns are pathetic. Quick / cheap / easy.
    +1 Another great video. Thanks!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks barry - great suggestions. I had been thinking about applying silver rim tape so that you wouldn't see it in the day but it would reflect at night. Maybe gold would look cool though.
      That harpic video is pretty crazy. They're just tarnished not rusting. I've just been googling "Er6n 2006" and I think maybe they're just that colour thought?
      Which horn did you go for? Mine is pretty poor but tbh a quick rev on the new exhaust tends to catch most folks' attention!

      Good point :D What bulbs do you rock in your headlight ? If not LED could make a LED conversion. Also one thing I would do to my bike is to put reflective strip on my rims for safety. Other then that not much you could do I guess, you got all the essentials already.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Cigonas Liaudies yeah the rim tape is a possibility. I was thinking silver so you can't see it in the day but it lights up at night, but Barry commented below saying gold might look good to match the frame. What do you think?
