  • Just tidying the bike up a little bit more after it went over a couple of times. Managed to get some OEM parts which I've been struggling to get hold of for a while.

    Looks absolutely fine without the decals!

      +Bikers Quest yeah I think it's fine tbh. Can't see any justification for the £60 and the knock off ones on eBay look rubbish!

      Gotta love OEM prices for the simplest of things lol I'm pretty sure the stock ER6 clutch of brake lever is cheaper than the decal lol

    Hi Bob, passed my licence on er6. Did like the the engine and ride comfort however didn’t like the look. Regards

      Yeah it’s not for everyone. Fun bike to ride tho and the looks grow on you after a while

    Rinse and repeat .. I did exactly this ... Now I'm looking for crash bars ... Amy info on how and where the frame was cracking ? Thanks

    I'd forget the decals, leave it either plain or buy some decals of anything you want on amazon or some place for just a few bucks (quid?).. I just put flags on my bike in lieu of manufacturer's golden offering $$$$ ..bike's looking good!

      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +MotoHikin'BC quid indeed! Yeah I think you're right - something else in it's place might look good. Will keep an eye open for something! Better off blank than spending £60 for sure

    looks good without the decals, I have exact same colour/spec and noticed you've got the rim tape, how was it putting it on and has it peeled at all? also just trying to sort out some hand guards as I ride through the winter. Great vids!

      @motobob  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Jason. Decals were too much £££ but I liked the look too. Rim tape was easy to put on if you clean the surface properly and take your time. Didn’t peel off. I think cleaning the rim properly is the most important part

    Hi Bob! Can you link where you buyed the Shrouds? I have to change them too, thanks!

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Bers915 bought mine from Cradley Kawasaki on eBay. Here's the left hand side but it might be worth calling to see if they have the right in stock. They also have both sides in yellow so I guess you could buy and spray if you can be bothered? www.ebay.co.uk/itm/282445095188

      Thanks a lot Bob, finally a decent price!

      +Bers915 yeah OEM parts are ridiculous aren't they? Couldn't believe it when I found those. I guess they're just clearing old stock

    • @Bers915
      @Bers915 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      90$ for just one side, really ridiculous. I take this opportunity and also ask you where did you buy the originals crash bungs.

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Bers915 those were on eBay too: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262793631102

    Don't suppose you could send me the link for the place where you got the shrouds? I have the same bike and have some slide damage on the right hand shroud and have had the same problem finding a replacement...

      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +rubberglover bought from Cradley Kawasaki. Can't see another on their eBay store right now but maybe give them a call? Hope you can find one - I think I was really lucky to spot them at that price

      Wicked - just picked one up from them! Thanks man, that's a huge saving... Have you thought about switching out the front headlight? I did mine a few months back and it looks awesome, and much brighter - pic here: instagram.com/p/BS4Iu1xhf-Y/?taken-by=mr_beagle_79
      Happy to share parts list / wiring diagram / advice etc. if you want to give it a go :)

      Mate that looks awesome! The original light is fugly. How much did it cost you all in? Is it LED?

    • @Mr_Beagle
      @Mr_Beagle 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has an LED ring around the rim which serves as the parking light (and looks well cool), and the main bulb is a high output, H4 two-filament bulb which means the low beam and high beam are in the same bulb, so I had to cut the old wires and wire up a relay. Had no idea what I was doing but some kind souls helped me figure out and I'm more than happy to do the same if you want a hand! The only prob is that the ignition switch pokes down behind it and kind of gets in the way a bit. If you got a light where the back doesn't poke backwards so much you could probably lift the whole thing up so it sat a bit closer to the speedo. This light was £65 (you could get one without the led parking light for about 40 quid), brackets were £25, plus a few quid on spacers etc. to get it to fit comfortably, and the relay was about £7...

      +rubberglover iiiiiinteresting. Did you get the stuff from eBay? I've seen some crazy good lights on there. Been thinking about whether it's possible to change the clocks over too, but not sure if it's worth the hassle.

    Hey, where you found those crash bungs?

    • @motobob
      @motobob  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Julius Jankauskas eBay. They were £80 which isn't cheap but also not bad compared to other crash bungs. Also cheaper than repairing the bars, mirrors, shrouds etc if it goes over again. They went on fine apart from the top spacer I mentioned, but that was ok with a couple of washers. Here's the eBay link: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262793631102

      +Big G cheers G. Pretty happy with them - they look integrated with the design of the whole bike which is rare for bungs.
