Thank you for making this video, it's very helpful for people unfamiliar with motorcycle maintenance. Also, your Versys is the most badass one I have seen. I love the painted forks/spring etc. Beautiful bike.
Hi, i am glad you liked the video. My bike is not a Versys but a naked ER (ER-6N or ninja 650r in the states), so i did not paint anything, this is how it is sold :)
Solid advice cleaning off your oil with brake spray.. I had mine completely taken apart since I was changing a few things. Fairings, tank, and airbox... I forgot I'd left the oil on the exhaust. Put everything back together and turned it over when it started smoking. I panicked and took off the tank in under a minute only to realize it was the damn oil I left on the exhaust and forgot about XD
thenks for the vid. i enjoyed it, rlly funny. besides, it helped me changing the oil of my er6f. best part: "the new oil.. duh, dont forget this part..."
Wicked cool, every minnit of it.The music, the cat, the pink funnel. This is why God invented the internet. Props to you. Imma go change the oil in my scoot now.
best thing i do is Buy 2 Oil filters and 2 bottles of oil. 1 filter and one bottle for Flushing then the other for using nice clean oil and then you know when about to change the oil
It is a great video but I thought the nut on the oil filter is for undoing only not fastening 🤔. It is only welded on and may cause a crack when force is applied and leading to leakage.
Workshop manual has a torque spec and i got a torque wrench ;) Edit: i just noticed that you are talking about the welding on the nut itself not the block. Well i guess you might be correct but i never had problems... Will keep in mind though thanks
Remember to fill the new filter with fresh oil before screwing in. The oil filter can take up to 500ml, cusing an incorrect oil level. Otherwise great vid.
+Dytlief Moller No matter how you like do it, you ought to check level, run bike for a minute, recheck, add if needed and then recheck after 1st normal ride :) That's what i do anyway
Hello, there is nothing special that needs to be taken care of as far as coolant is concerned, There are plenty of good videos out there for the process. Thanks!
@@IansDrumsandBass first top up the expansion reservoir. If you notice it is down again, then there is a leak somewhere and you got some other problem... either simple leak from some collar/pipe or more serious ones like some gasket
@@mantzini Thank you, I've only had the bike fora month so I just needed to know. There are no leaks to my knowledge. To top up the radiator, do you need to remove the tank?
Helpful vid, although I've got one question. Wouldn't undoing your oil drain plug before unscrewing the thingamabob on the top avoid making your hands dirty? I guess that it's tight enough to keep the underpressure that would hold the oil inside until you actually remove the second plug, isn't it?
donVisiore yes it probably would, but its a habit that i have, just in case something goes wrong on the top and you cant fill the new oil in. Also who doesn't like a little bit of motor oil on the fingers :P
Step 1: Change the oil. Step 2: Dip the cat in oil and stuff it into a feather pillow. Step 3: Upload the video of the new chicken-cat species and win a Nobel prize. Step 4: Win. jk don't do that. :D

lol thanks dude, what about the flip flops??? :D
Thanks for showing how to do the oil change
Since you're doing a video for the ER6 specifically, it would be nice to include the torque specs. In the description, maybe?
Well its pretty easy to find the specs but here they are: Drain bolt:20 N.m Filter:17 N.m
LOL that getto bike stand!!!
After the internet, it's really the only good thing an Oxford dictionary is good for.

Can you make a vdo on tipping up coolant?
