I like how sniper misses every shot but nails the piss dead on. Also the reason why sniper has and makes so much piss is that he used special pills to increase his kidney size and also uses pain killers so his organs don't fail.
16:32 Lucio stealing the boost is especially funny in this context since that's something that regularly happens in TF2, especially with Scouts. There'll be several moments where a Heavy tries to give a Medic a sandvich to heal them up or you're on fire and trying to go for a medkit, and a Scout nearly at full health will just run in and steal it away.
and yeah lucio usually jumping in front of nano's boosts by accident. sometimes mercy gets it as well, funniest thing. have u ever seen a baby dva boosted?
Fun fact: The "cheers love, cavalry's here" line that the Scout said in the first video isn't actually in the game, nor is it a combination of existing voice lines. The Scout's voice actor is a streamer, and will read stuff in Scout's voice as donation rewards. Out of all the TF2 voice actors, he's the one who's most likely to do new voice work for fan projects.
This did a complete 180. Currently literally every voice actor except for Scout (and Engineer, Merasmus and Miss Pauling, okay, you got me) are doing voice work for fans
About the spies that were slowly walking out of the spawn in the 2nd video: They're doing what's called "spycrabbing" - it's what happens when you are holding their Disguise Kit, crouch, and look straight up and walk around :) It became a meme in the TF2 community that actually ascended into the game itself - when you have the Disguise Kit out, normally taunting will have Spy take a cigarette from the kit and smoke it, but a rare taunt animation will have him assume the Spycrab position! Players actually use this in game as a sort of unofficial gambling mechanic (appropriately called "Spycrab Gambling") - both spies will taunt at the same time, and whoever gets the crab animation 3 times first forfeits their items xD
About the "I Hate Robots" phrase said by the Heavy Weapons Guy, that comes from the Mann Vs Machine mode, also known as MVM, where six players must fight against hordes of robots, and yes, that is actually part of the lore of TF2. And speaking of MVM, those robots can be killed by the spy using the sapper... and considering that many of the OW character use electronic devices, have robotic limbs and/or are directly robots, The Spy would be so OP in OW. No, the half naked man that punches Winston to the space is not a Heavy skin. He is Saxton Hale, the owner of Mann.Co. Acoording to the lore, he is so strong that he can survive a plane crash without parachute and he can kill dangerous animals with his bare hands. He even is responsible of the extinction of the Yeti and he almost killed all gorillas around the world. And no, this character is not officially playable, unless you go to some community servers where you can play the Saxton Hale mode, where many players must defeat another player who controls Saxton Hale before time runs out. If the name "Saxton Hale mode" sounds familiar to you as a OW player, it is because some OW players actually created a Saxton Hale mode in the OW workshop. Here is the proof th-cam.com/video/7Go1kC4W84w/w-d-xo.html
@@aguyontheinternet8436 I on the other hand think the sapper would do much as it just overloads the buildings. It is supposed to represent out dated times so the tech is a bit primitive. Like in MvM it would probably just disable characters or slow them down. Sombra on the other hand is hacking which is highly more effective and when put against engies buildings she most likely needs to do one hand gesture without getting near and they explode without so much as a warning.
7:53 that's not a Heavy skin, that's Saxton Hale the owner of mann co and kind of a big deal in the TF2 universe and a fun fact about him he almost punched every gorilla into extinction and wrote a comic book about it made entirely out of gorilla blood. only 5 gorillas survived Saxton Hale
@@ultimatum8945 no, he nearly made gorillas extinct. He killed them to write an issue of his comic book entirely in gorilla blood. He punched yetis into extinction when trying to wrangle them up for his yeti fighting theme park ala Jurrasic Park. They were two separate instances.
7:52 SAXTON HAAAAAALE Basically Saxton Hale is the head of Mann Co. and is the supplier of the weapons that the mercs use. He also loves to fight and is very strong. He skydives without a parachute and exploded a yeti with a single punch.
14:12 if you still wondering what Sombra hack to the Demoman, is the shield. Because in TF2 if you equip a shield you gain the ability to do charges. Sombra disable the charge of the Demoman that's why he tripped
Every weapon in the videos are actual tf2 weapons, like heavys yellow minigun(the brass beast) has a slower spin up time Spy has an actual icicle knife called the spycicle Demoman has a sword and shield he can use to replace his secondary and melee And yes, piss is a weapon that sniper can use,its infact, one of his best weapons
I started out hating overwatch because of tf2 but I ended up becoming a huge overwatch fan. They are similar and overwatch is inspired by tf2 but they are different enough in my opinion and both shine for different reasons. Fun fact: There's actually a voice line in overwatch from Pharah that references tf2. In tf2, Soldier can jump and shoot his rocket at his feet in order to do a sort of super jump (Kind of like pharahs vertical boost ability?) and it's called Rocket Jumping. In Overwatch, pharah's voice line is "Rocket jump? That sounds dangerous!" In these tf2 vs overwatch shorts there's a scene where soldier rocket jumps up to meet pharah, and smacks her with his shovel. The part where Bob stops to change his hat is kind of a nod to the fact that tf2 is known for all the hat cosmetics. The part where spy freezes Mei is because of one of his weapons called the Spicicle. It freezes your target when you backstab them. Demoman dressed up with the shield and sword is because everyone in tf2 has alternate weapon options, which almost kind of leads to there being subclasses within classes. Demoknight is when demo uses the shield and sword, and the shield gives him the ability to charge kind of like Rein.
@@pokefire953 or people act like you're "cheating" on tf2 or something with overwatch. Like chill. They're games. Yes tf2 is an absolute gem and deserves credit but you can like other games.
and you can get that specific hat where bob changes his hat from an achievement when you dominate that player who's wearing that specific hat and its called Ghostly Gibus so it actually makes sense that he wore it
@@pokefire953 If I'm not mistaken, Overwatch was literally inspired by TF2, as with the many similarities they have, and multiple references Overwatch has ingame to TF2 itself. So saying Overwatch players hate TF2 is not a strong argument as it wouldn't exist without TF2 in the first place.
As you get into Tf2, you'll find that their cosmetics are on a completely different level compared to Overwatch's skins, as besides being able to mix and match and paint them, players can freely trade most of them. This also means that a secondary economy has built around these items and them thus having actual monetary value, with some of the particularly rare items selling for well over $10,000 themselves.
Spy crab is kind of a bug. When spy opened the disguise menu, the other hand had the cigarette casing, while the other hand pointed at which character he should disguise at. The third person model would show this. But when you looked towards the sky as a spy with the disguise kit, the spy's posture was somewhat close to a crab. The dev team embraced this, making a small chance that you would make a spy crab taunt and having some cosmetics be just spy crabs.
Saxton Hale: The australian guy with the hat and chest hair you thought was a skin who punched Winston is a in lore character who owns Mann Co that supplies the TF2 mercenaries weapons. In lore he is also very, VERY strong and very "Mannly" who hunts animals like the Yeti (which he punched into literal extinction)
Winglet makes a lot of high quality Source Film Make (SFM) animations. Also, I noticed you recognized the TF2 characters from GMod. That's because they both were made by Valve, so they use the same Valve Engine, as does SFM. In fact, Valve actually used to host a mini film festival for skilled SFM animators called The Saxxy Awards
Gmod = Garry's Mod = Made by a guy named Garry and the company Face Punch. Gmod has access to the Valve Source Library and can read the files from games installed that use it to spawn those characters in...
19:00 That's actually a reference to a very early POTG from Overwatch 1. Back when the game launched, the algorithm that chose POTGs wasn't super polished, so there were a lot of plays that highlighted extremely mundane and uninteresting gameplay moments. One that gained popularity was one of a Torb being killed and the camera just focusing on his lifeless body while his turret did the rest of the work.
That's not an OW1. That can still happen today. Heck I just got one as Sigma today, where the POTG showed me struggling to hit an enemy Kiriko where just before I slammed 3 people all at once with my ult.
2:33 i think Overwatch sprays system is also inspired by TF2 but you cant do that in TF2 anymore cause people only put 18+ image on the wall 4:58 heavy using the Brass Beast which have slower spin up time and feel like is taking forever 6:10 the Spy-cicle turns victim to ice if spy backstab them 7:51 Saxton Hale is the CEO of Mann.co who give supply(like ammo and weapons) to both team so they can keep fighting 9:37 what Overwatch play of the game looks like 11:26 Spycrab is a meme from 2008(i think) and we still love it 12:07 how it feel to kill enemy healer 12:20 basically all the way to stun people in Overwatch 14:13 when demoman equipped shield he got an "ability" to charge, so Sombra can hack it 17:51 TF2 is a hat game 18:10 yes is from End Of The Line 19:02 what Overwatch play of the game looks like X2
You can still use sprays if you want. They are disabled by default in the advanced options. Do note that you have to join a community server to turn them on.
I love that you thought the Voice actors were involved in this. Nah SFM animators are just that good and reusing game dialogue. The part where Scount did Tracer's line was probably taken from the voice actor's TH-cam channel though.
8:00 ok, that's Saxton Hale. In tf2 lore, australians find this gold like substance called australium. It basically makes people in close contact with it, super human. Saxton Hale being one of the Australians to be in close contact with it, makes him able to be basically a super human.
fun fact: Zarya and Heavy share a lot of similarities: both are Russians, have a big gun, have the highest DPS of their respective game, they have a similar shape, they in-lore are both Russian literature nerds (Zarya is just a Russian literature nerd while Heavy has an actual PhD on the subject) and they both have the exact same aerobics move for one of their dance emote/taunt (it's based on the exact same video for both games and Zarya's and Heavy's just happen to be based on the exact same moves)
Fun fact: Nathan Vetterlein (Scout's voice actor) is a streamer and if you donate him you can make him say whatever you want and he will do it with the Scout's voice, he also sing the We Are Number One and i think eltorro64Rus did a video and used that line, he's amazing Also, the buff man you saw is Saxton Hale, founder and owner of Mann Co. The business who is responsible for basically all of the mercenary weapons (yes, including Sniper's jarate, it's actually a pill that Sniper took and now he pisses twice as fast than a normal human being, but his organs starts to fail) On quick fact: in the Overwatch comics you can see TF2 references, there's a reference to Redmond and Blutarch (founders of the RED team and BLU team) the Spy going incognito and i think there's one where Heavy is actually Zarya's grandfather
He didn't found Mann Co., Zepheniah Mann did. He then passed his company to Barnabas Hale after being disappointed in his two sons, and Barnabas passed it to Saxton.
YESSS great set of videos to react to! Winglet's productions are top tier, and these animations are some of my favorites! You might notice Scout gets a lot of lines in fan animations, and that's because his VA has been an active part of the community for years. He's got a huge backlog of custom lines he's done in the Scout voice, so the "cheers love, cavalry's here!" was definitely one of them. If you want more to react to, I highly recommend Crash Maul's TF2 series. The fight choreography is so creative with its violence, and it builds up a really engaging set of characters and even some lore! The first two vids set up some unique fighters, and then the very next episode pits them against each other in a death match, it's sooo excellent. Great vid as always!
The person who punched Winston in the spaces, Saxton hail he’s basically an owner of a really big company that is very important to the lore of team fortress two he’s also the most Australian man I’ve ever seen
as a team fortress fan, i also actually really like overwatch! but alot of tf2 fans are butthurt with overwatch taking away some former tf2 content creators also, despite you mentioning skins alot, tf2 actually has no character skins, and instead has 3 slots for cosmetics (hats, jackets, pants, etc etc) that you can wear to make your loadout unique!
7:52 thats saxton haaaale, the owner of mann co, which owns tf industries, which owns Reliable Excavation & Demolision (RED team) and Builders League United (BLU team)
You probably already know at this point, but incase this is the small chance you don’t….the shirtless man was Saxton Hale. He is the guy who sells the mercs their weapons and weapon skins. He is Australian and is essentially the manliest man to ever be manly. There is a popular unofficial mode where he is the boss and he has HUUUUGE HP and HUUUUGE power. But in the comics he is a Samson amongst men. The special but about it, is that he’s not really an idiot either he’s a decently well off business man. Edit: also TF2 is known for having friendlies. The group of spies you saw at the beginning are called spy crabs. They are an endangered species of friendly as pretty much each class has their own costumes and behaviors usually produced by friendlies to distinguish them. Such as the more famous “Hoovie”.
Team Fortress 2 doesn't have skins in the same way that Overwatch does. Each class has 3 different cosmetic slots where you can equip any cosmetics you own from either buying them in game, or earning some through achievements. So you can get some pretty whacky combinations if you get creative enough.
That's true rn I made my knight versions of the tf2 crew and I'm just gonna say the spiral knight cosmetic made it worth it for scout, pyro and a few others
tf2 players during setup is always just the engineers bulding their uh, buildings. Medic's charging uber and the rest mocking the opponents that are caged
4:54 So uhh, theres a mode called Mann Vs Machine in TF2. The Mercenaries teams up to fight robots. And also if i were right the minigun heavy using is Brass Beast. It deal great damage but pretty slow, its making you like living sentry 7:57 That's Saxton Hale, CEO of Mann.Co. Bro's pretty strong, you can say he's like Saitama of TF2.
Aight so I know there's prob already comments on it but imma still explain In tf2 there are not skins, instead there are hats which add additional models onto the pre-existing models The extra buff dude you thought was a heavy skin was actually not a skin but a separate character in tf2 lore known as Saxton hale, who supplies the mercs with the weapons and cosmetics
As someone who’s favorite game of all time is TF2 as well as Overwatch being in my top 30 favorite games, I love seeing them crossover. Would love to see a comic series of the two or cross over cosmetics/skins in TF2 and Overwatch
The administrator really sayin "Betrayal will not be tolerated" during the heavy and zarya scene who knew the stone-cold steve admistrator had an entire comedy career before TF2 lolo
4:52 “I hate robots!” Is a line heavy can say in the Mann vs machine mode for tf2. MVM is a mode where you take on hoards of robot resembling the mercs in many waves
19:03 the play of the game is directly based from this POTG th-cam.com/video/DiMJ-s4T16M/w-d-xo.html both Torbs turret and the engis sentry keep shooting when they die (sentry needs ammo however so engi does need to feed it some every now and then) so its a direct reference between 7:50 that is Saxton Hale, bit harder to explain as he doesnt actually appear in the game at all, just in the lore (which i do recomend as valve made an entire comic series about the characters but havent released the finale for about 10 years at this point) but basically hes Australian and Australians are superhuman because of a particular metal so hes practically a demi-god, there is a fan-made game mode where its the entire server vs one person who plays as him with about 70'000 HP and melee only able to pretty much one shot anyone Spy's electro sapper is specifically for engineer buildings, untill its removed by an engineer it deactivates the building and constantly damages it, in MVM (mann vs machine) it can be used to stun the robots for a while. 17:50 TF2 doesnt have skins in particular, but instead have a lot of cosmetic items, many of which are hats, which allows for a lot of customisation on characters once you have a few items, the hat that B.O.B picks up is the ghastly gibus, a hat you get from an achievment for killing someone with it several times, its usually the first cosmetic anyone gets and as such any new player usually wears it as its something different than the default, switching to it almost immediately some other TF2 stuff i recomend outside of the comics is Expiration Date, another fan made animation that got made into an official update Mann vs Machine, the MVM update trailer meet the amazing team, meet the team but fan-made with a LOT of humour put in, the Saxxy awards, this one is a bit different as its not one video, but a competition, Valve made source film maker where people could made animated vids in the game engine and made a competition for the best source films, and there are a lot of good ones, not cannon and some are a lot more memey than others and some dont have lines to them but some of my favourites are: Turbulence Tribute Healirious story of a sentry
The Mann vs machine shorts are more important than you think. If combined with jungle inferno (the last official tf2 animation to my knowledge), they could probably make a proper reaction.
If you want more fanmade TF2 Content, there’s a cute series called Pootis by Quazies on TH-cam. There aren’t any voicelines, it’s mostly silent comedy and it’s weirdly wholesome. And I suggest putting on captions, cause Quazies lives to put jokes in them

14:07 Because Witcher, like many other games, have had pre-order promotions with TF2. This one was 2 cosmetic items (hair and necklace) and a "re-skined" melee weapon (the sword), all 3 for Scout.
0:55 to answer this question; Yes, it is somewhat related to Team Fortress 2, as the spycrab dates back to pretty much years ago after a visual bug related to the disguise kit made the spy look like a crab when the player looked up and crouched. And Instead of fixing it, Valve kept it in for future fans and players to recreate the bug. Plus they made a secret spycrab taunt for the disguise kit which was pretty cool! You can find videos related to the spycrab that go back a decade lol
7:50 that is saxton hale, non-playable but extremely buff ceo of mann co., the company that basically supplies both teams with all their stuff is also canonically quite important. saxton has a policy that anyone who can beat him in a fistfight gets the company (someone made him fight their daughter so their daughter and therwefore also he got the company later). theres also a community gamemode thats called "vs saxton hale (vsh) " and one player with a lot of hp and abilities fights against a whole team
7:50 That man is Saxton Hale, from the TF2 comics. He’s the founder of Mann Co., the company that supplies the mercs with their weapons and cosmetics, and like all Australians (Sniper is actually from New Zealand) he is infused with Australium. Australium is a metal that can grant improved durability, strength, and lifespan.
*_List of memes and references I recognize:_* 2:10 TF2 players tend to go up to the enemy spawn doors and taunt, OW players tend to punch all the breakables. 3:20 OW Pirate Ship Comp of Bastion riding ontop of the playload being protected by shields. 3:30 Both Genji and Pyro have reflectors. 3:40 Engineer on that map is really strong and takes a massive amount of work to break through if there's more than one. 3:50 The Market Gardener is an unlockable Soldier weapon which does triple damage for usually an instant kill if he uses it while Rocket Jumping. 4:10 Ineffective sniper wars happen in both games. 4:18 Jarate is an unlockable Sniper weapon which causes enemies to take 35% increased damage from all sources. 4:25 Brigitte's shield bash interrupts enemy charges. 4:52 Heavy's line is something from Mann vs Machine mode where the TF2 mercs fight a hoard of robots. 5:00 The Brass Beast is an unlockable Heavy weapon which does massively increased damage but has massively reduced rev-up speed. 5:17 Scout doing Soldier-76's potg pose. 6:00 Mei is hated by OW players and has a reputation for revelling in tormenting opponents. Her gameplay involves slowly stunning opponents then executing them. 6:15 The Spycicle is an unlockable Spy weapon which protects him from his biggest counter of fire at the expense that it leaves an easily visible statue of his victims. 6:30 Scout vs Tracer is a huge talking point between the two games. 7:00 The Scout's voice actor got paid to say Tracer's voice line. 7:20 Spy can take on the appearance of enemies. 7:30 Sombra can disable enemy abilites, but also had a bug when she was first released where her decloaking voiceline could be heard from much further away than normal. 7:55 Saxton Hale is an NPC in TF2, he's the founder of the Mann company who supplies most of the merc's weapons, and is a big-game hunter with his bare hands. The most powerful character in the series to comical levels. 8:03 Doomfist in OW lore is the 2nd strongest character, only ever losing to Winston's rage mode, while Saxton Hale could still effortlessly win. 8:23 New Engineer players tend to group all their buildings next to other Engineer buildings, meanwhile Zarya's ultimate is a huge AoE black hole which punishes grouping together. 9:00 Both Heavy and Zarya are burly Russian weapon enthusiasts. 9:30 There was a major event in TF2 where the announcer orchestrated a war between Soldier and Demoman and the winner would get a special unlock. The announcer got additional voicelines scolding anyone not fighting during the event. 9:40 Demoman doing Junkrat's potg pose, also OW's play of the game system tends to select really underwhelming points in the game done by accident. --------------------- 10:50 OW's loading screen and announcer. 11:00 Reaper tosses away his guns when he reloads so there's a community meme about him just carrying a ridiculous amount of them. 11:30 The Spy-Crab is a funny animation you can do with Spy by crouching and looking up with the disguise kit equipped. Commonly done in casual modes with a community meme about protecting the rare endangered spycrab waddling through the battlefield. 11:33 They Pyrovision/Gibus are two unlockable cosmetics you get for absolutely free within the first 10 minutes of playing TF2, so they are commonly seen on really inexperienced players. 12:00 Scout has multiple jumps, by default he's got two but it can go up to seven with unlockables. 12:05 The Machina is an unlockable Sniper weapon which does more damage and can pierce enemies, but at the expense that it makes a VERY LOUD noise and traces a line back to his location. 12:20 Dive Comp in OW consisting of multiple high mobility characters to jump on long range squishy targets. 12:25 There's a lot of stunning abilities in OW with characters built around keeping enemies still... meanwhile stunning effects got all but completely removed from TF2. 12:45 The Spy's Sapper weapon disables mechanical devices. 13:23 Lucio and Pyro both have short range knockback abilities and like to camp by ledges to push people off. 13:35 Mei has an ability where she becomes invulnerable while healing in a block of ice. 13:45 The Backburner is an unlockable weapon for the Pyro which does triple damage if it hits enemies from behind at the expense of increased ammo drain on the knockback. 13:50 The Demoknight is an alternate subclass for Demoman and pretty much a 10th class. They forgo using explosives almost entirely for increased durability and high powered melee weapons. But there's also the ability to go half-knight where you still keep one explosive weapon. 14:05 A rare but notable meme tactic in TF2 of everyone going Scout and just running forward with their melee weapons. 15:35 Reaper can turn into gas to turn invincible for a while. 15:42 Roadhog has a long distance pull which can drag people off the map if he turns around while using it. 16:16 Both Roadhog and Heavy have abilities which health half their health. 16:30 Ana's ultimate gives an ally massive buffs, Lucio is very fast and has unpredictable movement. Ana accidentally using her ult on him (Lucio is a very poor target for it if anyone else is available) when she meant to target someone else got so common that Blizzard even added a voice line for when Lucio gets boosted. 17:30 Ashe's ultimate summons her robot butler Bob to charge at enemies and then become a turret where he stops. 18:15 Reference to a community film End of the Line where Heavy stops a train. 19:00 Nobody plays the objective in casual modes. 19:10 In OW, Torb tends to get play of the game while dead a lot of the time and so the camera just follows his bead body the whole time.
The character who knocked Winston away in part 1 is Saxton Hale, an important person in TF2 lore as he owns Mann Co., the place that makes most of the weapons in TF2, Saxton Hale is extremely strong, so much so that there's a custom game mode called Vs Saxton Hale where a full team goes against one person who plays the buff Australian (He's actually from Australia unlike Sniper)
And if your wondering what the spy crab meme is, basically spies disguise kit, when equipping it in-game and looking up, your player model would glitch and your arms would be placed in the air kind of like a crab, it was a really popular meme back in the day, so popular infact that if you taunt (emote) while having the disguise kit equipped, there's a small chance a crab animation would happen on spy
To answer your question, no they did not get the games voice actors. I think the person who made this used clips from the game, along with ai to create their own lines.
That shirtless guy is saxton hale who canonically caused the exctinction of the yeti and printed a comic book with gorilla blood and left only fourty alive
The reason why Scout vs Tracer works so well (vocally) is because Scout's VA talked about Overwatch on Twitch once for like an hour with no background music (specifically so sh#t like this can happen)
If you want a series that's like this the animator of these two animations you just watched is called "the winglet" they also made a series for just this kinda of animation but in oy tf2 called "the fedora Conicals" it's a 6 part series right now starting with "the fedora Conicals" then "the bolted behemoth" after that it splits to 2 different stories that link back up so you would either watch "burning through space 1 and 2" or "live and let spy" and "the red the blu and the ugly", I'd recommend watching them if you liked these two so much.
I cannot recommend enough the 'How It Feels' series from 'Lazy Purple'. I guarantee you will enjoy it and learn a bit more about the actual gameplay. Otherwise, If you want a long awesome SFM 'The Winglet' is your guy. Especially his SFM Storyline. If you want TF2 lore, however, that's where the fun REALLY starts! Just find some chronological order on TH-cam and enjoy.
I’m a casual tf2 overwatch fan, but like tfw better but here’s some things to cover up and make the video more sense. (I started playing overwatch 2 but won’t stop me from liking tf2 better.) The new character you have seen in this video is a character named santon hale owning the company called Mann co where thy make the weapons for the tf2 mercenaries to fight their clones (blue team). He is seen in the jungle inferno trailer and the tf2 official comics, and he’s a buff Aussie who caused the extinction of yetis and with a punch to the gut makes the yeti explode into a bloody mess, as seen in the jungle inferno tf2 update trailer. Also I. Tf2 there are no skins, you can buy hats and other cosmetics and make a three cosmetic combination, and weapons can be earned after playing tf2 for 30 minutes and get a random item, and you can make a combinations of your looks and a combinations of weapons with gimmicks. Another thing to point out is that in some servers, people won’t attack watch other and just go do dancing taunts and also do some pacifist things, so if you see a heavy giving you a sandwich and crouch down refusing to attack, that means he is a hooky, a type of friendly. In the tf2 vs overwatch second video, the spy’s were doing a clutch called a spy crab, where you have the disguise kit, look up and crouch while moving, and just roam around. Also scout can double jump and spy’s sappers can have any robots and machines loose health as it saps their health. On the player of the game ending, it said their real names, for demoman real name is Travis and engineers real name is dell.
Just makes me think of the time I potg as Torb ages back, while running back to the point. My turret was setup at point already, so all they saw was me running, then scream 'Molten Core!' and keep running, while the sounds of my turret murdering their team is in the distance with the back to back pings of kills happening on the other side of the map.
4:56 Basically there is a game mode in tf2 call mann vs machine that is about the guy who owns blu corp trying to take over red corp with robots instead of hiring mercenaries again, its essentially the pve mode of tf2 and heavy hates the robots because he was basically the main character in the modes trailer and they actually recorded new voice lines for him and most didn't get any. 5:00 also the minigun he is using is called the brass beast its basically a old fashioned Gatling gun and it has very high damage but is slow to spin up and slows the heavy down to a crawl when he uses it. 6:20 One of spy's knife weapons is an icicle and freezes his kills once he stabs them. 7:48 yeah the medic in tf2 is no friendly mercy he is a madman who literally heals people with a mixture of sandwiches, piss, and medical substances with electricity just lookup the original meet the medic trailer. He is totally unhinged. 8:00 That is saxton hale he owns the Mann company that the mercs buy all their guns from and is the strongest man in their world, there is a game mode that is essentially all the mercs trying to kill a player controlled saxton who is basically superman. 9:00 This is funny actually because canonically heavy hates the soviet russian regime, his father was executed for being a bolsivic loyalist and his family was put in a gulag, the heavy being super strong burned the place down and escaped.
Spycicle is literally an icicle Spy pulled out of for a christmas event that grants a second of immunity to afterburn and also freezes enemies on backstabs. It's a must have for Spies who can use it to counter the Pyro. Saxton Hale is the CEO of Mann Co, the company who hired the team and is basically the boss of tf2, right below the leaders of RED and BLU themselves. He's an Australian which, in Tf2 lore, is basically the equivalent to Super Soldiers thanks to a valuable resource called Australium, the same stuff the gold skins of the stock weapons are made of. He is really that strong and singlehandedly caused the extinction of Yetis on Earth. Recently they made an official gamemode where you get to fight him, which is based off a mod the community made, and yes, it is a buffed up heavy skin in the mod. Edit: also, can confirm, TF2 hats are better than every other cosmetic in every game
7:51 That, my good man, is Saxton Hale the Australian, the CEO of Mann Corporation. Who punches Yetis to death with his bare hands. And jumps off flying planes without a parachute. He is enhanced by Australium to be basically a demigod, but also dumb as hell and pretty much a psychopath. Yes, that's all canon. He's in the TF2 comics, and part of Mann vs Machine. But the true power behind everything in TF2 is the Administrator... She Who Sits In The Shadows, smoking her cigarettes, monitoring, schemeing... for well over 150 years now. Yes, she's probably a witch as well. The true power in TF2 universe are the women: The Admin, her young secretary Miss Pauling (who casually murders people for the Admin), the Heavy's old mum and three sisters in Siberia, the Demoman's old blind tough as nails mother in Scotland.... well, she is a Degroot, part of the Highland clan of Demolitionpeople since time immemorial.
Remember seeing a comic regarding Zarya heading home to visit her uncle, with other OW characters not knowing she had an uncle. Story then cuts to her getting saved by her uncle during the first omnic crisis…and it was Heavy, and there Zarya promises to get strong so she can tell him stories instead of him telling her them. He died standing his ground against three giant omnics to give her time to escape. And she’s visiting his grave to tell a story, like she promised. The funny thing is, Heavy has sisters canonically….and one of them has fallen in love with Soldier. So if Heavy is Zarya’s uncle, there is a chance she is related to Soldier too.

I relate to this as a scout main
And obv BOOOSTIIOOOOO happens more often than you would think playing ana

"I.. eat.. your.. sandwiches! I EAT EM UP!"
Even tho Lucio died earlier in the video
Fun fact: The "cheers love, cavalry's here" line that the Scout said in the first video isn't actually in the game, nor is it a combination of existing voice lines. The Scout's voice actor is a streamer, and will read stuff in Scout's voice as donation rewards. Out of all the TF2 voice actors, he's the one who's most likely to do new voice work for fan projects.
that's why i always think of him as the main character of tf2

About the spies that were slowly walking out of the spawn in the 2nd video:
They're doing what's called "spycrabbing" - it's what happens when you are holding their Disguise Kit, crouch, and look straight up and walk around :)
It became a meme in the TF2 community that actually ascended into the game itself - when you have the Disguise Kit out, normally taunting will have Spy take a cigarette from the kit and smoke it, but a rare taunt animation will have him assume the Spycrab position!
Players actually use this in game as a sort of unofficial gambling mechanic (appropriately called "Spycrab Gambling") - both spies will taunt at the same time, and whoever gets the crab animation 3 times first forfeits their items xD
Yup ,it's 25% chance to do that taunt .
Funnily enough I've seen a spy spycrabbing today. Then he went invisible and backstabbed me. Damn you John Spy!!!
Here is the proof
th-cam.com/video/7Go1kC4W84w/w-d-xo.html
considering that sombra can stop soldier from running id say shed do good in tf2 aswell. they could trade places
Slight correction.
The sapper in MvM needs to recharge after use and only disables small bits and slows big ones but deos not destroy them.
@@zacheryvincentcallahan4485 oh. My mistake. Thank You, Bro 👍
His only problem is he'd have to deal with sombra, who can sap his sapper.
Yeti, not gorilla.

Thank you! as a fan of both games i find it so weird how many tf2 players act like playing overwatch means you hate tf2
@@pokefire953 or people act like you're "cheating" on tf2 or something with overwatch. Like chill. They're games. Yes tf2 is an absolute gem and deserves credit but you can like other games.

Same bro, used to hate Overwatch cuz I played TF2, but now I switched and I love it, too bad that TF2 didn't have any major updates since 2017
@@pokefire953 If I'm not mistaken, Overwatch was literally inspired by TF2, as with the many similarities they have, and multiple references Overwatch has ingame to TF2 itself.

The chance of doing it is 25%
Saxton Hale: The australian guy with the hat and chest hair you thought was a skin who punched Winston is a in lore character who owns Mann Co that supplies the TF2 mercenaries weapons. In lore he is also very, VERY strong and very "Mannly" who hunts animals like the Yeti (which he punched into literal extinction)
In other words basically australian superman
Winglet makes a lot of high quality Source Film Make (SFM) animations. Also, I noticed you recognized the TF2 characters from GMod. That's because they both were made by Valve, so they use the same Valve Engine, as does SFM. In fact, Valve actually used to host a mini film festival for skilled SFM animators called The Saxxy Awards
gmod isnt made by valve
Gmod was made by Face Punch. They both run on the Source Engine, you got that part right.
"TF2 characters from gmod" That pains me to read.
Gmod = Garry's Mod = Made by a guy named Garry and the company Face Punch. Gmod has access to the Valve Source Library and can read the files from games installed that use it to spawn those characters in...
@@Dig_Duke_SFM OP meant that GMod is how Kieran recognized them.
the i hate robots joke with the brass beast is because it takes 23182 centuries to spin up
19:00 That's actually a reference to a very early POTG from Overwatch 1.

Actually, Saxton's abilities don't come from australium. His entire family is just like that.
fun fact: Zarya and Heavy share a lot of similarities: both are Russians, have a big gun, have the highest DPS of their respective game, they have a similar shape, they in-lore are both Russian literature nerds (Zarya is just a Russian literature nerd while Heavy has an actual PhD on the subject) and they both have the exact same aerobics move for one of their dance emote/taunt (it's based on the exact same video for both games and Zarya's and Heavy's just happen to be based on the exact same moves)
14:29 I will now forever refer to a group of scouts as a gaggle of scouts

Also, the buff man you saw is Saxton Hale, founder and owner of Mann Co. The business who is responsible for basically all of the mercenary weapons (yes, including Sniper's jarate, it's actually a pill that Sniper took and now he pisses twice as fast than a normal human being, but his organs starts to fail)
On quick fact: in the Overwatch comics you can see TF2 references, there's a reference to Redmond and Blutarch (founders of the RED team and BLU team) the Spy going incognito and i think there's one where Heavy is actually Zarya's grandfather

The person who punched Winston in the spaces, Saxton hail he’s basically an owner of a really big company that is very important to the lore of team fortress two he’s also the most Australian man I’ve ever seen
as a team fortress fan, i also actually really like overwatch! but alot of tf2 fans are butthurt with overwatch taking away some former tf2 content creators

In tf2 there are not skins, instead there are hats which add additional models onto the pre-existing models
The extra buff dude you thought was a heavy skin was actually not a skin but a separate character in tf2 lore known as Saxton hale, who supplies the mercs with the weapons and cosmetics

7:50 that is Saxton Hale, bit harder to explain as he doesnt actually appear in the game at all, just in the lore (which i do recomend as valve made an entire comic series about the characters but havent released the finale for about 10 years at this point) but basically hes Australian and Australians are superhuman because of a particular metal so hes practically a demi-god, there is a fan-made game mode where its the entire server vs one person who plays as him with about 70'000 HP and melee only able to pretty much one shot anyone
Spy's electro sapper is specifically for engineer buildings, untill its removed by an engineer it deactivates the building and constantly damages it, in MVM (mann vs machine) it can be used to stun the robots for a while.
17:50 TF2 doesnt have skins in particular, but instead have a lot of cosmetic items, many of which are hats, which allows for a lot of customisation on characters once you have a few items, the hat that B.O.B picks up is the ghastly gibus, a hat you get from an achievment for killing someone with it several times, its usually the first cosmetic anyone gets and as such any new player usually wears it as its something different than the default, switching to it almost immediately
some other TF2 stuff i recomend outside of the comics is
Expiration Date, another fan made animation that got made into an official update
Mann vs Machine, the MVM update trailer
meet the amazing team, meet the team but fan-made with a LOT of humour put in,
the Saxxy awards, this one is a bit different as its not one video, but a competition, Valve made source film maker where people could made animated vids in the game engine and made a competition for the best source films, and there are a lot of good ones, not cannon and some are a lot more memey than others and some dont have lines to them but some of my favourites are:
Turbulence
Tribute
Healirious
story of a sentry
The Mann vs machine shorts are more important than you think. If combined with jungle inferno (the last official tf2 animation to my knowledge), they could probably make a proper reaction.
I would love to see you watch like, the TF2 comics, as they are jam packed with lore and is just as crazy if not crazier than the official videos.
If you want more fanmade TF2 Content, there’s a cute series called Pootis by Quazies on TH-cam. There aren’t any voicelines, it’s mostly silent comedy and it’s weirdly wholesome. And I suggest putting on captions, cause Quazies lives to put jokes in them
Finally, someone who picked up on Sombra's hidden agenda!

0:55 to answer this question;
Yes, it is somewhat related to Team Fortress 2, as the spycrab dates back to pretty much years ago after a visual bug related to the disguise kit made the spy look like a crab when the player looked up and crouched.

---------------------
10:50 OW's loading screen and announcer.
The buff dude you did not know is Saxton hale. Long story short he's tf2 version of chuck Norris
To answer your question, no they did not get the games voice actors. I think the person who made this used clips from the game, along with ai to create their own lines.
Absolutely wild, they did such a good job!
That shirtless guy is saxton hale who canonically caused the exctinction of the yeti and printed a comic book with gorilla blood and left only fourty alive
Kieran for real got into tf2
7:53 That’s Saxton Hale from the Team Fortress 2 Jungle Inferno trailer
The reason why Scout vs Tracer works so well (vocally) is because Scout's VA talked about Overwatch on Twitch once for like an hour with no background music (specifically so sh#t like this can happen)
3:45.
in tf2, there arent skins per-se. but different cosmetics you can wear. like different hat's, shirts/jackets, pants, ETC
Two recommendations for a tf2 video to watch are turbulence and your eternal revenge, both are classics
Rocket jumping is a glitch turned feature in tf2
7:56 That’s Saxton Hale. Basically he’s a strong guy from Australia who owns the company of Mann Co
17:52 in tf2, you get the hat by dominating (killing a player a bunch of times) another player that has the hat.
The lore behind them hating robots is that in the co-op gamemode, you fight endless waves of robots
7:54 that guy It's saxton hale, it's part of a game mode in which it's like a mini boss, and it also has super strength
19:07 I hate how much this one clip made me laugh when its just a death by the bear trap XD
Jarate, also known as jar full a piss.
I could not stop smiling during this video, juat seeing your wholesome reacting to everything 😆
7:51 thats saxton hale, he is in the tf2 lore but he is not playable without special mods on comunity servers
Fun fact: this is the average tf2 experience. Friendly at the door. Killed when you get a headshot
Funnily enough, just like how there's people in the overwatch community who hate Mei, there's people in the TF2 community who hate Pyro
A song of Ice and Fire you could say 😂
@@ChocolateKieran between the frosty fiend and the fiery freakshow
Underrated channel imo
Scout's voice actor used to stream so he said a bunch of stuff in scout's voice including "cheer's luv the cavalry's 'ere"
Hearing him say the word "skin" and "engineer" in the same sentence sent shivers down my spine
8:00 its saxon hale
Saxton hale created a yeti park just so he could kill yetis in his free time
4:15
This item is called jarate. When thrown at a target deals mini crits to the target.
And yes. It is *piss.*
The spy crab made me die of laughter 💀🤣
heavy has a taunt kill that can insta kill enemies from range by pointing his fingers at someone and saying "POW!"
Damn, Saxton Hale just punches Winston into space. At least he didn't explode like the last yeti.
