@@ChocolateKieran yeah. There's a few variations of it. Another TF2 animator STBlackST has it a bit. In fact. You could probably react to a bit of their content as well. It somewhat has a story so start from the beginning if possible.
@@ChocolateKieran the animation was made using sfm, a software that valve used to make the meet the team videos. they made it free to use for everyone.
And its voiceline of "enemy detected" and the shutting down noise are taken from the mechwarrior games
The entire storyline is that Heavy took part in the Area 51 raid simply for the anime girls.
That’s it. That’s the ENTIRE storyline boiled down.

To my knowledge the green dudes are from the early development of tf2 but never got past being a drawing the devs made. They were simply called "The mercenary" and later they had a model made for them (I think by a tf2 community member?) and the model's clothing can be recolored very easily, thus green to fit the military aesthetic. The merc is typically used as stock cannon fodder in animations or as personal guards for some of the actual tf2 merc's bosses like the administrator. If you keep watching tf2 animations you may see them pop in from time to time only to either get immediately destroyed or to stand menacingly near a door. The robot was likewise a tf2 animation model from a very high quality animation called "A wrench in the gears"
They are now apparently the main characters of a TF2 mod, Open Fortress (the green dudes)
no, the mercenary, just like the tf2 version of the civilian is entirely fanmade
That would be pretty cool to have as a class tbh, call in some npc Allies to help you out, your the boss of the mercenaries ‘n stuff

The animation you reacted is all fan made from source film maker (sfm) and it's by the same guy that done the pootis extreme and others as well, especially the vid you reacted is such a meme trip, especially how well animated this all is. (Edit: The green men are unused models for some mission game in the tf2 game)

It's from an AMAZING sfm and honestly the best SFM related to the Mann vs. Machine mode
You HAVE TO CHECK IT OUT, it's called "Wrench in the Gears" it's absolutely amazing and it's the most creative SFM to date as far as I know and it could even be a potential MvM content update if valve would actually care to implement some new things. It's also an 8 year old animation already btw.

You should definitely read the TF2 comics, that are pretty good and have the same sense of humor as the mainline game in addition to explaining the "lore" of the series.

@@ChocolateKieran just know that team fabulous 2 is very random too, is a much older video so physical video quality is lower, makes a ton of references, and is a beloved piece of work made by kitty0706, who lost his battle with leukemia in 2012. Not too long ago there was a remake made by the community coming together. A passion project to pay tribute and helped raise money for charity. Most likely though the suggestions are for the original

Those green guys are models for a game mod based off the same tf2 style called Open Fortress, The Deathmatch Mercenary is what everyone plays as able to pick up any weapon in a Deathmatch game styled after TF2. Another game modded from TF2 is Team Fortress 2 classic which really is TF2 during it's early concept era.

Incase you dont know the robots in the beginning its a model which i believe is from one of the best tf2 sfm which is called a wrench in the gears and the green dudes are from a game called open fortress which you can pick any weapon from all tf2 classes they are sometimes used as guards or other mercenary in other tf2 sfm

The green dudes are from A-war of the TF2 franchise and 14th to classic what you mean one it was somewhat of a suggestion of the Underworld kind of thing before they actually start hiring teams like the ones we have today But they weren't green but also those are kind of like folk soldiers who move around all the car going out but they aint seen cause they're not meant characters

Pootis Engage was made from the meme "Naruto Running into area 51" back in 2019 where people say that they are keeping the anime girls in Area 51 and, y'know people want to raid Area 51. It has nothing to do with pootis. It's just because Heavy says pootis and Heavy is the main character in Pootis Engage. There is also no explanation of why and how Heavy does things in the video. It's just a bunch of memes, video game and anime references compiled into a chaotic, but at the same time, straightforward story.
So yea, definitely watch the sequel. It doesn't explain anything, just there for the fun chaos. 👍
