Meet the team is so good because it really shows off the personality of each of them. My favorite is the spy simply because its a your mom joke with receipts.
@@chelzorthedestroyerI mean, imagine someone you're in an argument with someone who makes a your mom joke, only to immediately show physical proof that they did in fact bang your mom. Shit's brutal.
Fun fact about demoman: he drank so much alcohol that his body naturally got used to it so when he tries to drink regular water he gets alcohol poisoning
"They've got more fecking sea monsters in the great Loch at Ness than they've got the likes of me" Someone, somehow, uploaded the uncensored audio in the wiki for 'meet the demoman'
Aights inb4 the TF2 fact guys come, I'll go b4 they do: 1. The heavy is actually pretty smart. He has a PhD in Russian literature, making him one of the smarter mercenaries. 2. Soldier tried to join the military but was denied in all the branches. He went to Europe anyway and went on a rampage that went well after the war. 3. Engineer has 11 PhDs. 4. Medic doesn't heal Demo's eye because it's cursed by the bombonomicon and every Halloween they have to kill Monoculus, Demo's missing eye. 5. Scout is named Jeremy because he kept getting associated with Jerma. 6. Heavy and Soldier are canonically family when soldier married one of Heavy's sisters. 7. Spy is scout's actual dad. 8. Sniper doesn't really have a magazine. He reloads every shot but he does so fast you don't notice. 9. Pyro can be a savvy businessman when he wants to be.
10. Soldier's VA died. RIP Rick May. He rocket jumped to the great beyond. 11. In Demo's trailer, when he was censored, it wasn't because he was cursing so much, it was because he revealed the secret location of the Loch Ness monster. 12. Sniper is not actually Australian. He was a New Zealander but he was adopted by his Australian parents when New Zealand sank. 13. Australians in game are OP af because of Australialium, a magical metal. 14. Sniper has a scar on his cheek as a result of spy's slash in the spy trailer. Yeah that's all I got.
Oh yeah before I forget: 15: when you "Gib"(when you completely turn someone to just a mass of flesh and blood) scout, there's a chance a bird comes flying out of his remains. 16. Heavy's model is actually missing a rib because of what happened in the medic's trailer. 17. Heavy really respects medic because he "outsmarted bullet". 18. Nobody knows what Pyro truly looks like. They aren't even sure what gender Pyro is, or if it is even human. 19. Wearing Pyro's goggles let's any merc see what Pyro's seeing. So a debate came about if Pyro's delusional or what he sees is the result of the goggles. 20. Each of Heavy's miniguns have different personal names. 21. Sniper's jar of piss is actually usable in game. It extinguishes fires and grants mini crits.
@@chelzorthedestroyer Side note, that not a lot of people catch, so consider it an honorary 17, I suppose: When Red Spy reveals himself, he's not informing Soldier and Heavy of where he is. He's finishing what Blue Spy was saying, "He could even be (right behind you.)"
Two trivia: - The scout runs faster than the spy in-game and a spy camouflaged as a scout cannot exceed the spy running speed. That's why the spy camouflaged as the scout was never seen running in the spy video. He would've given himself away. - When the scout tapped the camera in his video, he left a faint smudge on the lens that remains on-screen until the end of the video.
@@chelzorthedestroyerThey really did Ape TF2's marketing but hey it works for a good reason lol At least it bothered to go for a more cinematic feel haha
Spy's "No, that would be your mother" line has been getting people since the video came out. It's one of the greatest pieces of writing from a video game, if not ever.
I can't tell whether you mean the ubercharge or the fact that he got shot once, bargained with the devil using stolen souls of the baddies he's been working for, managed to buy himself back from death and then bluffed against the guy who killed him with a pen saying it's a device that would induce birth in a surgically umplanted baboon uterus he surgically implanted into the guy just for kicks, forcing him to open up for an attack by Heavy. The best part being that it was only a bluff because he didn't have the real device on hand at thd moment, it was in his bag.
@@Issengan I don't even think he was there DURING the war. We only know that his rampage ended in 1949, not when it started. We also know that he got a plane ticket to Europe, and I don't think that many civilian aircraft were flying between America and Europe during the war.
Misha (Heavy) had Sasha (his gun) made with the money from Mann Co. His budget is essentially bottomless, and he has no regard for how much money he's wasting because he's in America and not Russia
To add on to this, his rounds are custom built with a classified and wholly unique caliber which is why they're so expensive. Sasha however is compatible with almost any kind of ammunition available in a pinch with varying degrees of effectiveness.
Fun fact about the Sniper's quote "Be polite, be efficient, have a plan to kill everyone you meet." It's a take off on a quote supposedly said by a famous Marine Corps general, General Mattis, who was giving advice to his men on how they should behave while occupying Iraq. (His actual line being more like "Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everyone you meet.") It was basically saying be good to the locals, always act courteously to them, but also be constantly alert and ready to react in an instant if any one of them turns out to be an insurgent in disguise and tries something.
@@chelzorthedestroyer General James "Mad Dog" Mattis. He got his nickname after saying stuff like the one in the original comment, but also he apparently once said “a good soldier follows orders, but a true warrior wears his enemy’s skin like a poncho.” One of those that got sworn in as US Secretary of Defense and absolutely deserved it.
3:56 Yes, and not just that. The ”sandvich” is so recognizable and iconic that the voice actors of the mercs did a little mini series last year about finding said sandvich.
@@chelzorthedestroyer very heathy too, tastes pretty nice, though i personally swap out the baloney for other meats. Oh and in game it fully restores health. Heavy has 3 other edibles (not including reskins). chocolate (the dalokos bar), which he has an infinite supply of. The chocolate doesnt heal much, but it helps in a pinch. The second banana, which heals half his health, but regenerates faster than the sandwich. And the ecoli condo that is the buffalo steak sandwich, which is a raw piece of meat. Garunteed critical hits, but you are forced to use melee and take mini crit damage yourself (crit: 3x dmg, mini crit: 1.5x dmg) The sandvich is the best lunch to pack if you have a medic, as it will heal half his health, then the second banana if you dont have a medic, dalokos bar third, as it does give some neat bonuses, and finally the -tapeworm condo- buffalo steak sandvich.
Demoman hits a little close to home because I'm a black dude with a little bit of Scottish heritage in my family. Though I'm nearsighted, I'm not an alcoholic. Though I do like watching stuff blow up and tend to lean towards the support/demolitions role in most shooters I play.
Heavy: "I have yet to meet one that can outsmart bullet." Heavy after meeting Medic: "I AM BULLETPROOF!" Blu Spy: "He could be you, he could be me, he could even be-" Red Spy: "-Right behind you."
A little detail with Meet the Spy. When “Scout” *cuts* himself, his finger actually was behind the sharp part of the blade. So at the least he pinched his finger and didn’t cut it.
@@chelzorthedestroyerand the spy handing scout the knife is some kind of offer to surrender as he would know with his experience. Also, small detail but during the door scene, the scout pulled out his bat, equivalent to the knife.
So here's a fun fact if you watch Expiration Date after this. In that short film, soldier is going to somehow seem even stupider then in his meet the video. This is because it is heavily implied in the comics that soldier has been drinking large amounts of extremely lead poisoned water for years. Not only is he stupid, he's getting stupider by the day.
The shot in Meet the Pyro where it cuts from Pyro giving Heavubi a lollipop to him burying a fire axe in his skull is one of my favorite parts of the series, just a hard cut to extreme violence and back like nothing happened
Now you can watch Expiration Date which was actually made by Valve and then End of the Line which was fan- made! There are definitely others out there but those two are the best to start with
Fun fact, you can actually turn TF2 into what the Pyro sees with an in-game item called the Pyrovision Goggles. Gibs turn into random party-associated objects, health packs become pieces of cake, maps become more colorful, and it even changes your HUD killfeed, from dominating a player to becoming "Best friends" with them. There are also Pyro-specific weapons and items, like the Rainblower and Lollichop, that give you Pyrovision without the goggles.
@@djcuevas1057actually, that’s a myth; the person who ‘discovered’ it has confirmed it was made up. The real kicker about heavy's custom ammunition? It's not 400K USD in 2007 money. It's 400K USD in 1970's money. TF2 is Monty Python levels of batshit insane. And we love it for it.
The heavy’s gun is just a small exaggeration on real miniguns (used by aircraft). Easiest example is the A10 gun fires rounds that cost ~$150 each at 3900 rounds per minute, so spending about $10k a second!
What i like about TF2 is that you can see their silhouette and easily recognize the characters. Even when you think one character is normal, you realise they take their bread for a walk.

i love little detail of the disguised spy messing up the knife trick on prupose. And later there is a clear emphasis on him opening the knife perfectly.
The Spys theme is called "Right behind you". The fench language settings have him speak french with an English accent. The spy is a result of a glitch in an early version of the original Team-Fortress Half-Life mod, before being fixed and purposefully added. The heavy is actually the smartest, with a PHD in Russian literature. The Heavies "pow" finger-gun emote can actually kill people. There is a series of 7, IIRC, comics with a TONNE of lore. The voice actors actually came together to do a live-action series to find Heavy a Sandvich, and a song called "The Sandwich blues". The scouts voice actor also streams under the name "Chilli of Destiny" and sang Allstar by Smashmouth.
I see your point, but it is not about cringe or sterile, they are too serious, over serious, mean while TF2 priorities the characters funny in the class stereotypes, like spy being a gentleman with some fun side, or heavy being a knucklehead with enough intelligence to use his weapons, or soldier being average American in 4th of July.
I can't say I consider the lore personalities of Overwatch characters to be lesser written (though the structural lore elements like Kimiko's timeline...), it's just that unless you're following a Junkrat POV, OW is... was going for a very different vibe with the story and world. TF2 firmly glued its tongue to the in cheek position long ago and never looked back. It's a maniacal cartoon world of insanity built up well after the gameplay. OW trieD to tell more of story, and do so directly without irony. Earnest heroes, treacherous former comrades, weary souls, bubbly masks hiding heavy burdens... But Activision made it clear they don't care about Overwatch narratively. So I've largely left that behind save the memories from when I was invested.
I am sure you've already heard this information already but it's also something also quite sad. The voice actor for the soldier passed away a long time ago or at least before 2020 I believe. It's still also disheartening but also comforting to know that he is a moralized thanks to TF too
Immortalized. You misspelled Immortalized. But yes, Rick May has been Immortalized in TF2 as a series of statues placed in every single map in honor of the late Rick May that appear around the anniversary of his passing. On the map cp_granary, the map used for the meet the Soldier short, a permanent memorial to Rick is placed in the out of bounds area just outside of the RED Team's first spawn. "Godspeed you magnificent bastard" "That was one hell of a campaign son!" "You were real good son real good. Maybe even the best!"
Love that the red spy finishes what blu spy was saying. Blu spy: "He could be in this very room. he could be you, he could be me, he could even be..." Red spy: "... Right behind you" (Since he can become invisible, he could be right behind you)
There is some evidence (within the comics) to suggest that Pyro is fully aware of their actions, just not necessarily the implications of their actions. Namely the scene in the big tech corporation boardroom, where Pyro sees everything as dull and blocky, but a single fire in the distance is a hallucinogenic fever dream. And to a lesser extent, how the scene changes when Pyro here's Smolders the bear (the TF2 version of Smoky the Bear), say fire isn't anyone's friend (the background went from that manic dream-scape to a flaming hell-scape). So Pyro, in all probability, knows what fire is, and think the world is better if set ablaze, but might not understand why that would actually be a bad thing.
@chelzorthedestroyer Also there are new players who join and there's always casual servers where the pros relax and don't try to tear everyone apart, so in some capacity you can always try!
I like that they make each character feel more badass and cool than all yhe others in their respective videos. Helps add to their unique flair and appeal.

I wanna comment that you're just about the first reactor to Meet the Team I've seen to find the line from Demoman "prancing about with your heads full of eyeballs" really funny, a correct reaction imo. It's my favorite line in the entire Meet the Team video series from my favorite character video, and the joke seemingly goes over so many people's heads when they watch it.
I was aware of where most of the TF2 memes came from but this is the first time I've actually watched these shorts. Suddenly I'm understanding the whole "Pinkie Pyro" fanart from back when MLP: FiM was relevant.
Yeah, there was a lot of crossover between the TF2 and MLP fandoms back in the day. I don't know that it started with Meet the Pyro, but it was certainly bolstered by it.
pyro is engineers best friend because there is no stupid thing like friendly fire there is this thing like pyro check which means breathing fire everywhere to set any spy (invisible or in disguise) on fire (always thank your local pyro for check) and then all the family friendly content 1. secondary attack of basic flamer allows to push away boms and grenades or deflect rockets back at soldier and his allies 2. if basic signal pistol gets replaced with high-tech one then he can absorb fire from burning allies and use it shoot with crits 3. if fire axe is replaced with hammer then he can destroy spies hacking devices from engineers inventions 4. never compare pyro to mei because pyro is the most symbiotic team member while mei is in dire need of rework SINCE RELEASE for being absurdly annoying

It's fascinating how long it took for "hero shooter" to become a genre when TF2 is so old by the standards of video games. And somehow it's survived despite being so stagnant, no less.
Beforehand, they were just class shooters. TF2 was one of the first to give each class a distinct personality and lore, even if they were just called "The Heavy Weapons Guy". Once devs saw how positive that was, making them "heroes" is the logical next step.

Some fun facts about the mercs, mostly from the official comic series! Heavy has a PhD in Russian Literature, liberated an entire Gulag at the age of 12 with only his bare hands, and sends every spare scrap of money he gets as a merc to his family, who are running from what remains of the Soviet Union. He also has a sister, who married the Soldier, which though Heavy and Soldier don't always get along, he is very supportive of, as it makes her happy. Spy is canonically Scout's biological father, and chose to reveal this to him under the disguise of Tom Jones as Scout died from injuries received in a particularly brutal fight. Scout did not stay dead, as he was resurrected by GOD HIMSELF after revealing to Scout that he was God's gift to the women of the world. Demoman has a bad relationship with his parents, as his father was able to simultaneously hold several dozen jobs at once, where as he can only hold 10 or so. The Red Demoman and Blue Soldier used to be best friends before being forced to fight. Demoman's liver has become a biological alcohol distillery, and he almost died of toxic shock after being fed clean water and solid food by his captors as his body has become reliant on booze to survive. He lost his eye to a Wizard named Merasmus, who used to be room mates with Soldier. Sniper is not actually Australian. He was born in New Zealand, which in the tf2 universe is a sunken city, like Atlantis, and his parents, fearing the city would soon be destroyed, jettisoned him off in a pod, where he was found and adopted by his two Australian parents, being an obvious nod to the origin of Superman. He has a weapon called Jarate, which is a jar full of urine that he is only able to produce en masse thanks to a kidney enlarging supplement created by Saxton Hale, who is a ridiculously strong Australian Huntsman, who killed the last Yeti with his bare hands, and has a gamemode in tf2 where 100 of the mercs have to fight a single player playing as Saxton, who is unarmed, and quite honestly, the mercs are at the disadvantage here. The Medic lost his medical license after stealing a patient's entire skeleton, sold his soul to the Devil, surgically removed and added to himself the souls of the other mercs, and proceeded to buy his way back out of Hell after dying by trading one of said souls for a ballpoint pen. Soldier once killed a Grizzly Bear, unarmed, whilst covered head to toe in honey. Pyro may actually be the only female merc playable in-game, as they possess both masculine and feminine mannerisms, have a very non-descript voice that cannot be understood in-game, and we will likely never know who is behind that mask. A mask that feeds them copious amounts of hallucinagenic drugs, which is why they see the world like they do. The announcer is immortal, thanks to a machine built by the Engineer that feeds a rare substance called Australium into her veins, and her and Sniper's VA's are married irl. Engineer cut off his own right hand to replace it with a mechanical weapon called the Gunslinger. And finally, the entire reason the game's fights happened at all was because Blutarch and Redmond Mann, brothers and owners of the Red and Blu companies, want ownership of the land left to them by their late father, not knowing the land is LITERALLY worthless.
My favorite thing about soldier's video is that he's basically telling the story about how the zoo was invented by Sun Tzu. He invented fighting, then participated in fighting competitions and used the prize money to buy 2 of every animal on Earth, put them all on a boat and then fought them all to death, earning the right to call any fixed locations where multiple animals are gathered together to be a Tzu(zoo). The thing is, of course, soldier is a lead-poisoned loon and his story is false. The zoo is actually invented by a man named Charles Darling, sworn nemesis of Saxton Hale, who is, incidentally, the owner of the weapon manufacturing company that arms both the RED and BLU teams. Why did he do such a thing? Why, to spite his nemesis Saxton Hale, who believed in the natural order of things. By which I mean he believes that any animal weaker than him deserves to be beaten barehanded into extinction, and to which Charles Darling said, my what a grand idea. Unfortunately, I have airlifted out the last of this endangered species to put them in a cage for other people to see, and named the place where I've put all these cages a silly word like, "zoo," which means you can no longer punch them to death. Mwahahahaha.
Pyro doesnt whistle in-game, but now that you bring it up, they absolutely should. Imagine being far away from your team and, when you think nobody is around, you start hearing someone whistling...
Quick fun fact about the Demoman and the Medic! The canonical reason that Medic is unable to heal Demoman's eye is because, as far as the universe is concerned, his eye doesn't need healing. At some point in his childhood, Tavish (the Demo's real name) broke into the castle of a Wizard named Merasmus and read a magic book called the Bombinomicon, which promptly ripped the eyeball out of its socket and created a creature called MONOCULUS (and yes, the name is in caps). Now, due to the spell that was used, the Medic's Mediguns can't regenerate the eyeball, as the universe thinks there's nothing to regenerate. As far as the universe is concerned, the Eyeball is considered whole and healthy, it just happens to not be in its socket and flying around a gigantic hostile monster that returns to the physical plane every Halloween. Every time Medic _does_ happen to create a new eye, it promptly pops out of the socket and becomes another monster, so Medic just came to the conclusion that Demo's eye socket is haunted. And thus ends your first lesson in the kind of universe TF2 takes place in.
Well, the wiki i do't know how accurate it is-but comic wise which i tend to rely on the most since it's official lore, apparently the medic HAS healed his eye many times, but every halloween it becomes a boss-like one of the multiples per halloween map. So medic stopped that. But apparently he is friends with the sprit inhabiting his sword that's possibly MONOCOLUS? Somehow? I mean. Medic is a weird soul doctor so that seems possible?? I admit though. I don't keep up with lore out of comics.

17:30 BLU Scout “Jeremy” is Red Spy’s son. Thing is, an arrangement with the Administrator saw him enter the service of Redmond at Spy’s request to keep his son safe. I forget the original teams of each class, but all you need to know is by the time of the end of the Gravel War, when Gray Mann entered the picture, the Mercs had become a united RED team, with faceless generic mercs filling out Blutarch’s ranks prior to his and Redmond’s assassination by Gray Mann. The best representation of these generic BLU mercs would be the fan creation “Mercenary” who has a similar build to soldier with a ski mask.
@@chelzorthedestroyer Nope, outside of a few of the characters who had joined Red, all other Blus are essentially like the fanmade Mercenary model; body build similar to Soldier with a ski mask.
Funny fact, in the official tf2 comics, the red team were getting their blood sucked by robots (it's a long story), but when they were sucking demo's blood, they got drunk because demo drinks so much alcohol that it's basically his blood

My only complaint now is everyone that still plays is an absolute monster at the game and it's impossible for a casual like me who just pops in once in a blue moon to not just get absolutely stomped haha. I used to be able to at least do decent but I'm always on the bottom now haha

Fun fact: Medic can't heal the Demoman's missing eye because a wizard stole it. That same wizard happened to be Sniper's roommate in college. All of that is official canon. Additionally, there's a 1% chance that whenever a Scout dies to an explosion and blows to bits, a dove will fly out from the explosion.
In the comics it's shown that Medic can do all these impossible things because he made a deal with the Devil. When Ludwig (Medic) dies he reveals that he surgically stole the souls of the other mercenaries and attached them to his own, giving him a total of 10 souls and due to a clause in the contract he and the Devil made, he was able to come back to life. Though not before he sold one of his souls to the Devil for his pen, as a way to assure the Devil that he'll eventually get Ludwig to sell his souls again

Fun fact: If the tie-in comic “Meet the Director” is any indication, Scout was bragging about himself *five hours* after the camera ran out of film! Combined with Scout having the shortest Meet the Team video, and this raises some pretty funny implications.
The tf2 matches are mostly very causal, sometimes both teams would stop shooting in order to join a conga line in the middle (thats an emote that anyone else can join too). It's way less competitive than overwatch. The real problem are the bots that ruin everything but people band together to vote kick em out
While Pyro might be the most overtly insane, all of the mercs are varying degrees of psychotic. 3. Engineer has 11 PhDs.
4. Medic doesn't heal Demo's eye because it's cursed by the bombonomicon and every Halloween they have to kill Monoculus, Demo's missing eye.

19. Wearing Pyro's goggles let's any merc see what Pyro's seeing. So a debate came about if Pyro's delusional or what he sees is the result of the goggles.

I can't say I consider the lore personalities of Overwatch characters to be lesser written (though the structural lore elements like Kimiko's timeline...), it's just that unless you're following a Junkrat POV, OW is... was going for a very different vibe with the story and world.

Yes, the Sandvich is a weapon. It heals the Heavy for 300 HP or he can drop it for a teammate for 50% of their max HP.
Other weapons include:
A banana that heals 200 HP
A chocolate bar that increases your max HP by 50
Soda filled with radioactive isotopes and 16,000mg of sugar that make you invulnerable
A severed arm
A piss jar (Which is one of the strongest weapons in the game)
A parachute
A frying pan
And a camping backpack.
Also if Scout dies by explosion, there is a chance that Archimedes will pop out and fly away.
Why is the jar the strongest? AHHH
Not OP but players coated in Jarate take extra damage.
@@chelzorthedestroyerBecause enemies coated in piss take extra damage, it can reveal disguised or invisible Spies, and extinguish burning teammates. So it's a pretty useful item for Sniper
@@JoaoLucasK and one specific item can do full crit damage when the enemy is covered in piss
Ok, 2 things.
Was the music making you think of The Incredibles music? That's what it reminds me of.
And 2, it took me till this year to realize what the soldier was talking about. Sun Tzu took the animals on the boat, beat them, and now it's a Tzu. It's a ZOO, get it.

I think both the Incredibles an this reminds me of old cartoon styles. I think it's their intent
Something that wasn't made clear in the Spy clip: He can one shot anyone with a stab in the back 🔪
That makes sense, classic rogue style.
Yeah, those guys? Love those guys. All of 'em are extremely unwell.
Haha, they are all pretty messed up, lol.
It's fascinating how long it took for "hero shooter" to become a genre when TF2 is so old by the standards of video games. And somehow it's survived despite being so stagnant, no less.
The fandom really likes messing with G-Mod. lol
Could've been called Merc shooters
Beforehand, they were just class shooters. TF2 was one of the first to give each class a distinct personality and lore, even if they were just called "The Heavy Weapons Guy". Once devs saw how positive that was, making them "heroes" is the logical next step.
@@Kalatash Yeah, but it took so long. Wish there was more solid design vision and less trend chasing.
Its funny how you have like a 5% chance of seeing a dove fly out of Scout if he blows up

What about Heavy’s New Phone?
Haha I'll stick with an official vid for next.
@@chelzorthedestroyer there’s a version that has the original voice actors doing the dialogue so technically it’s official but it’s also not official because it’s still a fan made video.
Don't forget that Medic has healed Demoman's eye multiple times and each time it turned evil.
Doesn’t Demoman live with his mother though or atleast regularly visits her?
@@eur0be4t3r He lives with her in a big mansion along with the Eyelander sword
The little scream with medic was so adorable and the reactions are fucking great
Haha, my disturbed panic is adorable. T_T
Red spy finished Blue spy’s line
“He could be in this very room, he could be you, he could be me! He could even be-“
“Right behind you”
I see it also as a response to the soldier "Who's ready to go find the spy"/"Right behind you".
@@chelzorthedestroyer I think that’s how most people (myself included) initially hear it, but it’s cool that it works both ways
26:35 - the "gun" Pyro is using in the dream is an actual "gun" in the game.
A "gun" made in their imagination, aka the Pyrovision.
Magic vision gun
OMG... that's... so dumb it's great.
Welp we all learned something today, Chelzor does not like gore. Keep her away from horror movie nights.

Some Kill Bill whistling in the distance, lol
Ok, I've heard many stories about this, I wonder which is true.
@@chelzorthedestroyer What was written here is the correct version. You can verify this by reading up on the wiki.
Isn't his sword haunted somehow? I don't know how or why though, but he was friends with it wasnt he?
@@bopeep6103 The Eyelander is, indeed, haunted. But it's not haunted by MONOCULUS, it's just haunted by another, nameless spirit that hungers for heads.
11:36 Fun fact! Demoman is censored here not because of drunken swearing, but because he reveals the true location of the loch ness monster!
I'll always envy those who didn't have to wait years to see the entire "Meet the" series.
Nice and prepackaged for us.
22:44 Actually, he CAN heal demoman's eye! His eyesocket is haunted however and the eye proceeds to attack them every halloween.
Yea, I heard a wizard is involved
@@chelzorthedestroyer The Bombinomicon actually, Which I belive belonged to the wizard!
So is red scout not blue spies son?
@@chelzorthedestroyer Nope, outside of a few of the characters who had joined Red, all other Blus are essentially like the fanmade Mercenary model; body build similar to Soldier with a ski mask.
Funny fact, in the official tf2 comics, the red team were getting their blood sucked by robots (it's a long story), but when they were sucking demo's blood, they got drunk because demo drinks so much alcohol that it's basically his blood
the robots... got drunk? lol
@@chelzorthedestroyer Yes, they were essentially poisoned by his blood and lost all functions because of it. Vampires must hate this man.

That's fine, that just means everyone is blind running.
22:58 fun fact: At one point, scout's when blown up to pieces (which a character was blown to pieces when overkilled or had certain items) had a chance to spawn a dove that would fly away

The TF2 lore and story is so good. I've literally been obsessed with the meet the team vids and fan animations for years. Emesis Blue is literally my 3rd favorite movie behind Rango and Megamind. And no I've never played the game.
TF2 is pretty fun. I used to play it way back in the day and always had a good time.
My only complaint now is everyone that still plays is an absolute monster at the game and it's impossible for a casual like me who just pops in once in a blue moon to not just get absolutely stomped haha. I used to be able to at least do decent but I'm always on the bottom now haha
That's what I expect. Anyone still playing it is probably very good at it, lol

Scout - Tracer
Soldier - Soldier:76/Pharah
Pyro - Mei (the elemental users)
Demoman - Junkrat
Heavy - Zarya
Engineer - Torbjorn
Medic - Mercy
Sniper - Widowmaker
Spy - Sombra

Fun fact: Medic can't heal the Demoman's missing eye because a wizard stole it.
That same wizard happened to be Sniper's roommate in college.

Additionally, there's a 1% chance that whenever a Scout dies to an explosion and blows to bits, a dove will fly out from the explosion.

I normally don't watch reaction videos. but seeing how you're coming from overwatch, this was just too good to pass up.
Haha, yee, I do enjoy Overwatch as my casual go to.
16:55 Perfect timing moment right here hahahaha
The soldier answers her question
Haha, I guess he does, doesn't he.
Aw, I thought he was a genius, he was just a witch, lol.

The real problem are the bots that ruin everything but people band together to vote kick em out
I hear the bots of calmed down.
The bot crisis is pretty much over, but people are still paying attention to make sure it doesn't happen again
I played this game since childhood before went to Overwatch. I just forgot how much fun this game is after “Meet the Team” again.

While Pyro might be the most overtly insane, all of the mercs are varying degrees of psychotic. I mean, just look at the little smirk Engineer gives as his turret coldly blows someone away, or just how coldly ruthless Spy is. A little more info on Solider's deceased VA. His name is Rick May. He's a beloved voice actor, but he only ever had 2 major roles in video games. Even though it was only 2, he left a huge mark on gaming culture in the late 90s to 2000s. As you know, he voiced Solider, but he was also in Starfox 64, specifically Peppy Hare and Andross. Both Solider and Peppy left a mark on kids in those eras. He was so respected that after his passing, the TF2 devs set up a special detail in his honor. In the month of May, a specific map has a statue placed in it with a memorial message dedicated to him using Solider as a proxy.
