    Thanks for the video. For some reason the luma keyer in the effects panel wasn't working but doing it this way is so much more adaptive and adjustable. Can't wait to use it on more stuff.

    Sadly, this video was too advanced for a newbie like me. In particular, when the video mentioned creating a "serial" node I wasn't able to find out how do to that. My version didn't have serial as a choice. There was "corrector, parallel, combiner", etc, but not serial. So I couldn't get passed that point and was stuck. I'm now trying to find a less advanced video with more in between steps for us new folks to DaVinci, but still a great video!

    That was a really great tutorial. “Let’s call this a win before I mess it up” is so true. Was this tut made before that magic mask came out for fusion?

      This came out before I learned Fusion, which I still haven't done. I'm glad that you found it useful!

    I'm using a newer version of Resolve and the Highlight Tool has been moved to a menu on the right with choices of Highlight, Highlight BW, and Highlight Difference. I still am struggling to find where you turn it off to see the output. This has taken me over an hour to get past the 1:43 point in the video. Please update that little part of the video, maybe with just adding text over the top noting this change that can really, really slow things down for beginners!

    Why do it in the color tab? Is it possibly because the luma keyer in the effects just doesn't work? It certainly doesn't use any form of logic I am familiar with.

    Can you use Alphha output in color tap with luma key all at once?

    • @JJKoester
      @JJKoester  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You can go completely hog-wild stacking nodes and keying choices. We often get punch drunk in the home studio on needlessly complex keys.

      @@JJKoester Why are there so few lessons on Fusion?

    • @JJKoester
      @JJKoester  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@kovanjola Because Fusion is hard. There are just fewer people using it than the other tools in Resolve.
