Congrats, Jonathan! The number I randomly picked was 102. You had the closest guess! Private message me on Discord and I'll get the magnetic quick release in the mail to you. 🤘
Hey Jonathan. I was going through my notes and realized I never send this out. I recall getting a message from you on Discord while I was on vacation, but I can't seem to find it now. Could you DM me again?
Thumbs up if you want to see an EDC updated once his baby is born! Tactical Diaper dispenser Clip on Baby wipes Pacifier with lanyard Quick draw sun shade Etc.
It’s funny you mention this bc there’s actually a company called tactical dad gear. They make tactical dad bags like backpacks that have a fold down changing station, diaper pouches, wipe pockets etc.
I'm new to all this, but I'm seriously curious. What do people use pry bars to pry? Bottle openers? Are there any bottled drinks that don't have twist tops? I feel like these are similar to the SOS function on flashlights that NO ONE USES. Please forgive my ignorance, but what are these for? I love the craftsmanship on this stuff. So well made. Seems like there'd be more useful things they could do.
Pry bars are for all the things multi tool flat screwdrivers are used for that don't involve screws, while over here (Northern Ireland) most bottled beers need a bottle opener.
Chris McCollum mini prybars are great for popping panels, scraping stickers off, cutting tape on boxes without worry of damaging contents. And most craft beers as well as higher quality mass produced beers don’t use twist off because twist of doesn’t seal as well to keep air out.
Opening boxes, can use the prong as a makeshift screwdriver, opening paint cans. It really depends on what you find yourself doing regularly, whether it be your job or hobby. I’ve never had a use for a mini pry bar, though I do keep a larger one in the suv for potential roadside emergencies, prying doors open etc. (I’m a trauma nurse). Plenty of smaller craft beer and import beers still use caps that need an opener. EDC needs to be individualized otherwise you’re carrying useless junk. EDC also goes through trends and fads though. For the longest time everyone wanted Atwood titanium “multitools” which where about 2” long and over $100 lol
If your looking for a good belt loop for your keys I recommend Victorinox . I use mine for a custom SAK. It's like $15 and locks on to your belt with a simple mechanism.
Duuuude. Your stuff is so good. I was talking with one of my friends who's a film photographer and I told him to check out your channel and he said, "I watch that dude's stuff all the time!" Grats on 31k subscribers, man!
I needed some type of key organizer, just got tired of having them dangling on an o ring. It's only three keys but I still wanted a way to keep them together. I found a leather Northwall key organizer on Amazon for $25. What's cool is that it comes with a small steel prybar that has a sharpened corner to open boxes. I keep an olight i3eeos flashlight and my house alarm fob attached with individual o rings. I keep my car fob separately from my house keys. This edc stuff is addicting. I got a leather Hitch and Timber pocket pal with three pockets that I keep a Lumintop flashlight, Victorinox pioneer, Gerber dime, and a small pen. Fits nicely into the cargo pocket of my tactical shorts.
Used to cry over getting scuff marks on stuff, until I decided they are there to tell a story, they are visual memories. When the baby has come (congrats!) and all is well you can look at that scratch and just be reminded that life is fragile and that there's plenty to be thankful for..! Sorry for a little odd and philosophic comment, it's late and the mind is spinning on it's own..
Pocket knife, keys, wallet, multi-tool that fits inside the wallet, gshock gd400 watch, pen sunglasses and hat that's all I carry, everything else in a pacsafe ls350 15L backpack
I drive an Older Toyota Tacoma also (2015), I swapped out my key for a Volkswagen all in one off of a guy on the Tacomaworld forum. Simple reprogram on the truck and got my keys cut at a locksmith. I highly recommend it
looked more into it and these keys are everywhere Amazon/Ebay... your looking for a gq43vt20t flip key . then look up the programming instructions and Bamo smaller keys
I'm still waiting on the lanyard/beads video. I am genuinely curious, but I just don't get it. I guess I'm looking for some pros, besides looks. Seems like it would get in the way.
I have a lanyard on my sak (vic. pioneer). In my case, It is useful i three ways. 1-When i have it in my pocket, the knife itself falls onto the bottom, but the bulky knot on the top of the lanyard (yes, it could be a bead) stays on top of the pocket. That way i don't have to tuck my hand in the pocket but I can fish it in a second with just the tip of my fingers, even while I'm holding something. 2-When i'm using it, sometimes I put the lanyard around my little finger so when I need to use my right hand I can simply drop it and it hangs. Gotta be careful, though. Just for light tasks! 3- Sometimes I don't want it on my pocket but the "standard" ring in Victorinox saks is too small to fit in my keyring carabiner, so I use the lanyard. I could live without it, but it's pretty useful to be honest!
They're great for quicker access, getting a grip, extending finger purchase, fidgeting, and of course some people like them for looks and customizing a piece as their own. But it's a matter of preference and some tools just don't lend themselves to lanyards or beads.
What makes fenix flashlights so good are the the lenses that they use. They throw the light in a longer more focused way. 8 lumens out of a fenix e-12 is like any other flashlights medium setting. Plus the lens is so thick, it will never crack.
See I’m a minimalist when it comes to me carrying stuff. I try to go as small as possible in not carrying as much. I do utilize the keysmart but I’m actually adding tools into it so I don’t have as much added to my pockets when I’m walking around. The stuff you’ve put on your keys has given me some ideas of what to go for and how to clip everything together.
Love your videos. Functional note: set the item down and give me a chance to actually see what your showing. You were waving the wallets around really fast and I never got more than a blur of a view.
I don't know if anyone mentioned this, (there's 2k comments on this video at the time of this post and I'm not going through all of those) but you can order a key with a built-in remote online and just have a key cutter cut it to size... To help alleviate the key ring clutter.
I use the yellow birch case like you do. But I add a mini multi tool to the zipper compartment and a spare battery for my flash light and some bandaids.
Years ago I was a pothead and liked to carry foldable scissors on my keys. Now I use them to cut the straws at places like McDonald's. I found that my kids had an awkward time working with the large straw for their tiny drink. A knife could work but in a busy place with kids around scissors seemed safer.
1st happy birthday brotha. 2nd my guess is 500. 3rd I had the same key issue with an old Ford i bought a flip key off Ebay for a Jetta or any vw bought a Ford key blank for the flipper control and bam 1 compact key
Another tip on your zulu cut off the secondary loop and strap portion it will make it a true zulu one piece but more importantly it slims the profile so it will fit better
I agree on the Olight S2R Baton II, a titanium in neutral white would be awesome. Even the regular finish S2R Baton II in neutral white would be terrific. A fuller spectrum is better in so many ways, Olight needs to give us a choice of NW (Neutral White), I'm over CW (Crappy White). The only more recent S2R Baton II I have is at least a bit warmer, I don't know if that has been a change or I just got lucky on my green version. I love my Olights and have given away some S2R Baton II flashlights, but a warmer tint would be so much better. Meanwhile I have often been using/carrying my Ti Olight Baton Pro. It is still Crappy White, but at least is on the warmer side for better perception and less interference with sleep rhythms.
I own that Zak tool key holder in the beginning. That thing is almost perfect. Cons are the belt loop is made for a duty belt and slides around and causes you to do a quick search when re inserting keys. Also lifts up as you pull the keys out.
The only thing that changes in my EDC is my wepon, that depends on the weather and what I'm wearing and what I'm doing etc. I carry a Leatherman Wingman and a Boker Strike, Olight Mx1, a Bic lighter, two keys on a locking Nite-Ize carabineer. my phone, Casio G-Shock GW-350. Front pocket wallet.

Nice. I want that notebook/pen/knife/light wallet thingy. You forgot to include a G43 with talon grips and Glock night sights, OWB holster, spare mag. Otherwise complete. Good video, had fun watching it. Thank you
Does anyone have a list of knives that fit in the Bolder wallet? I could always take out a home equity line and get the small sebenza, but would like to know my more affordable options. Bummed my mini griptillian is too chunky for it...
I don't know if you have found out since you published this video as far as the maker knife is concerned does it not come with a little screwdriver which is supposed to be used to adjust and tune the knife to how you like?
If your belt key holder or Zack thing I don't know what your called it but if it's cutting up your belt just take some sandpaper start with like a hundred or 200 grit sandpaper and polish those edges in the inside I won't tear your belt up anymore
I am looking for a flashlight that fits in pocket and has Strobe light that clicks on easily. When walking through parking lot late at night with my flashlight (turned off) in hand ready click once for the strobe light to scare off potential hostile person. Which flashlight can do this?
I carry my truck keys separately from my other keys. I carry my house and garage keys on a carabiner on my belt loop and my truck key and fob in my pocket. That way there’s no bulk and if I lock my keys in my truck I have my house keys still to go get my spare. And if I lock my house keys in my house I have my truck keys to go get my other key from the wife. Nice video man. 777
I have the magnetic quick release, but my findings are a bit double. At one side it is an awesome invention, on the other hand, the magnetic part also grabs other metal parts which results in having to ungrab it first before I can re-attach my keys to it, which is a bit annoying.

Hey you will probably never see this, but I had the same issue with my maker knife and I sent Giaco an email and apparently its a common issue they had with the little adjusting screws for the tension. They sent me out a new little screw and new screws for the pocket clip as well because some of those didnt fit correct either.
Hey. I need suggestions on watches. I am a soldier and I have a real problem keeping my watches alive for more than a couple of months. I desperately need suggestions to a rugged watch. I have some things I just have to have on it tho. It needs to be an analogue watch. It gotta have constant backlight, tritium or alike, and it needs to be easy to read, a clean watchface, and yeah it needs to live for longer than my previous. I can drop a significant amount if it is good on it. As it’s my most used edc item.

For hanging keys, nothing beats a d clip carabiner with a nylon strap.
Thousands of those little bags from a failed business😂😂 doesnt sound suspicious at all🤷♀️

"Failed business", little baggies? He was a drug dealer
We should just start calling it EODC (every other day carry )
lol so true.

Just little widgets that serve no particular purpose other than to drain a wallet in exchange for a slice of titanium.
Caleb Cooper exactly! I fall into this category when it comes to titanium edc-ish items.

Ppl are always like "oh Dominic always has a multi tool handy" kinda being snarky about it like it's weird to be a little more useful of a person.
I get the same reaction for having 2 or 3 flashlights on me at any given time. I'm everyone's friend when the power goes out though.
I'm still waiting on the lanyard/beads video. I am genuinely curious, but I just don't get it. I guess I'm looking for some pros, besides looks. Seems like it would get in the way.

The beads are for pretty boys. Not for guys that actually use a knife everyday.
