    Per Dr. Batiste:
5 things to help lower resting heart rate
    1. Stay hydrated
    2. Exercise/increase actvity
    3. Decrease/eliminate caffeine
    4. Get at least 7 hours of sleep
    5. Eat beans
Great advice and these steps should be fairly easy for everyone to implement!
These steps are after eating whole plant exclusive and you still need to tweak things!

@Mommiesmyname1...you have good reason to not trust Dr.'s today....so many of them don't seem to care. I can tell you about some nightmare situations with doctors around me. I had a brain bleed 2011, doctors could have done something about it (maybe), but paid no attention, there were clear signs. I had a heart attack Sept. 29, 22 & they could have done something (maybe) about that too! I say "could have" because I had the brain bleed & heart attack & survived. I had symptoms & none of them paid any attention! I have learned, you have to be your own advocate, & don't stay with a doctor because you have this "false" faith in them. xxxooo Judie My heart attack I lost 80% of my heart & didn't even know I had a heart attack until a month AFTER I had the attack. I had one of those heart attacks that (I) suffered NO pain. Imagine that. There are some good doctors out there because doctors saved my life both times. I am grateful to the LORD. HE did the good work!!!!!!!!! Thank you for sharing, this is how WE learn what is good & what isn't. xxxooo Judie

I was on the keto diet & I never felt better in my life. The depression that I had been suffering from since I had my baby in 1961....depression was gone & life was so good. I was happy with just life going on. I lost 35 lbs. in no time at all & the weight is still off!!!!! When I went into ketosis I quit the diet...it just frightened me. The things you learn early in life come back....ie. no butter, no dairy, in my life very little meat, in other words the way things have always been. I agree with what "they" say....did the old way make you lose weight, stop heart disease & all the rest that was claimed? No it didn't, but I also realize the "fast food" had begun & everyone was eating that without even realizing what it was doing to us. I have no clue if keto hurt me, but I sure know it made me "feel" great, I just don't know what to think!

It's been very difficult to stay hydrated, so mashed beans and cooked vegetables in a food processor makes your food uniformly eqally tiny which gives you the opportunity to add extra water to it. The nutrients will be more easily absorbed, lighter to flow through more quickly than chunks, including nuts, so they have less tendency to bind up or slow the digestion. Your heart and digestive organs will be working better but not harder to keep food flowing. Keep your fats buddy buddy with carbs and buddy buddy with proteins as separate meals helps prevent constipation. Carbs and proteins need to stay separated. If you have beans, combine them with veggies. Remember to add water and mash them up. Try adding Spring salad in your blender as well. Eating meat and chicken in smaller portions prepared with beans and spring salad and cruciferous vegetables and blended with water makes a nice soup.

palm oil is dangerous for the heart period!!!! it is comparable to coconut oil with its high LDL cholesterol content. imagine cutting your oil with a knife?!! nevertheless, we do need oil to absorb calcium for strong bones and teeth etc.,

    • @chiyerano
      @chiyerano 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

@@hiecharles All I know is there are many West Africans who consumed virgin palm oil regularly and they didn't have cardiovascular disease like people often do in America at least not until they started eating more like Americans and stopped eating more traditional largely plant based diets which happened to include virgin palm oil. Until you can point me to at least 3 good studies that back up what you say I am going to continue consuming virgin palm oil as part of my whole food vegan diet. I am also going to continue consuming virgin coconut butter and oil and make sure that they are all sustainably sourced and fair traded and unadulterated.

My DNA is not the same as my parents
My Dad had two heart attacks
I’ve been saying this for years
We learn habits in families and I have always wondered which ethnicities have higher probability of heart problems and I have been assoc. with Italians, Afro Americans, Irish and their diets. They are not good. I would bet that Italians and Afro Americans are tied in heart issues. But one thing Drs. Don’t discuss about your heart is your emotions affecting your heart. It’s true and who is more heart broken than what the Africans have been through and the stress of just trying to cope with this society. I don’t expect to have to argue this point. It’s an observation for me. They have lived a life for years of pain.

I’m speaking for African bc if their diets and their losses
We can always speak about other suffering but I chose the non stop atrocities for this group. Please don’t think I’m underestimating the suffering of any other group of people. The atrocities of all groups of people are indescribable for me. The Jews continue to fight for their rightful acceptance, inclusion, respect, acknowledgement in society for all they’ve endured suffered and lost for many years. I also include the mass killing and sadistic treatment of Vietnamese here and in their land, the Irish there and as immigrants, Chinese, Italians, Polish, etc. I embrace all bc all of our ancestors were punished, mistreated, raped, and stolen by whomever was ruling their country or ravaging their lands. Long ago during the crusades there was no pity for any serfs, commoners around the world. I’ve read and seen enough to last me a lifetime of pain. We were speaking of heart attacks and diets. My experience have been with the ethnicities I mentioned. Let’s also mention what was done to American Indian in this land of theirs. Their women children were unnecessarily raped slaughtered killed by plague and sold so were will we stop??? Not enough space to mention all that’s been done to people around the world. I’m sorry for it ALL

Cholesterol essential for health: It is 30% of the cell membrane where it provides fluidity and transport functions; it is the precursor for the production of testosterone, oestrogen and Vitamin D. As dietary cholesterol is esterified it is very poorly absorbed in the gut and so has little effect on blood cholesterol. Therefore the body has to make most of the cholesterol it needs. The organ with the most cholesterol is the brain, which is why a diet high in saturated fats cures epilepsy.

Time is critical for some to try to think , if they are able , DIY - make home work once a week : 1-2 hours for researching what is good/ bad exactly for your blood type, etc , for abt 1-2 months .And try to follow it - checking for analyses every 6 months .

      how are you doing?..
great to see someone else like me that studies and researches all about our bodies..
      have lost faith in doctors
cardiologist has tried to help me lower my BP with 5 different medications.
The “ last straw “ was when I felt like I was going to faint from a BP pill and also muscle cramping from A water pill.
I have complained and asked questions and been told to continue these dangerous medications.
I stopped on my own, after 1 to 2 bad reactions.
I continue to challenge the doctors and always ask them where my symptoms are starting from..?
that to medicate, is only prolonging a deeper issue within my body..
I have started a Whole Food Plant Based diet, because of lower leg- ankle edema, hypertension, insomnia, fatigue and severe neck and back pain.
Spoke to several experts and they made so much sense!
So relieved that there is an” light at the end of the tunnel!”
I’m taking it one step at a time, as not to burnout, and get discouraged.
Relearning and repurchasing groceries can be costly if not careful, so it’s challenging..
Also, my hubby loves his meat, so I just have to make sure these new recipes are yummy as well as healthy, lol..🤓
best wishes to you in your journey back to good health !!
      Kaimana
      😊

I went Vegan and yes it is healthy. I also cut out most sugar apart from in fruit. However I just heard and learnt about something called Lectins which is in many vegetable's and other foods which I thought were good for a person. Tomatoes and potatoes as an example? Also we are told fats are not good yet some people are losing weight on a Keto diet and going low carb. It gets confusing. We are also told Olive oil is good for us.

The same with autoimmune diseases! For example, lab animals are injected with LPS (endotoxins) and myelin (called MOG), to produce "models" of MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer. Humans get endotoxins to blood stream from leaky gut and myelin by eating muscles. Muscles aren't just meat. They include nerves, blood vessels, immune cells...

You make excellent points but there are some autoimmune diseases that can't be ignored; huntington's, sickle cell, etc
I think you would like a TH-camr named Alvin Jackson the non dr. He is an outstanding physiologist who doesn't believe in autoimmune diseases. He believes there is a blockage. Get rid of the blockage then you get rid of the disease. Check him out. He's live every Friday. You can ask him anything

Interesting doctor /interview, , the saying ‘ you are what you eat ’ is a simple reminder to us all to try and eat clean - to a degree it’s difficult with food marketing, consumer demand etc . I think a ‘stoic’ attitude towards food and lifestyle will contribute in my efforts to stay away from the doctors and pharmaceutical company’s - i don’t always achieve ill add - maybe a 70/30 (strict vs lazy ha ha ) split at best .Challenging life for us all - good health to us all and our families.
