Yo I thought this vid had like at least 100k views and I can't believe that I watched every second of it! I'm a fellow developer (mobile apps) and have been slacking on my project even though it's 70% finished so seeing you work on this huge 3d game thing and overcoming all the debugging is really inspiring!
Change the floors put some grass some dirt make the environment more vibrant something that feels alive like wind or dirt floating some particles flying around leaves
And you can also change the material of the enemies when hit to give feedback that it’s hit. Like for instance make it more red to visualize it has been hit.
From what we could see of the combat system in the video, I feel like the enemies attack too fast in comparison to the player. The player takes ages to perform the attack, while the enemies attack instantly. This makes it seem like the player is taking three hits in the time that they can attack once. Also, enemies appear to be unstunable, making it that both parties are able to attack at the same time. This is something most games avoid, as it often feels janky. Of course though, I haven't played the game. This is just some feedback I came up to help improve the game, not demotivate you!
I appreciate the feedback and what you said was really helpful. I have been modifying the enemy being able to attack while being hit vs not being able to attack. The issue I am running into is when the enemy is not able to attack while being hit, you can just spam hit them till they're defeated. On the other hand, if the enemy is able to attack while being hit (what you are seeing in the video) it essentially breaks the player's combo. I am still tweaking the system quite a bit but your comment about both parties attacking at the same time is helpful and may be the key to finding a good balance.
@@ElusivePandaGames One easy way to solve that problem is to divide attacks into interruptable and non interruptable. Another way would be to have hits not interrupt attacks but delay them, allowing you to give different attacks a different delay resistance.
I got no idea how much services at Fiverr costs, what is a fair price and what's way too much. How much have you pain for your combat system at Fiverr, was it few hundreds or many thousands of dollars ? BTW, Project S looks great in this rather "old" video ... I think the game would be much more successful when you release it if you would make a option to play as a boy or a girl in the game. ^^
Which fiverr user did you use on the website I've used Fiverr in the past and I've wasted a lot of money because of it it would probably be better to know who you use so I can get a better understanding of what I need to do for my own project

Beyond proud of you elusive panda, you’ve come such a long way. From The Virus to Project S. Can’t wait to see the next steps come to fruition.
Great quality. Thank you for providing honest reviews!
Great video and your game looks really fun!
Surprised to see my face in the video hahaha
Looking forward to seeing more of you!
Your Fiverr video was one of the first ones I found in my search! Your other videos look really interesting, I'll definitely be checking them out!
I was low-key hoping my plugin comes under your marketplace list lol. Really nice dev log.
Yea I used fivver for certain sound effects and music for my game. Its the perfect resource for things you can't make yourself! Great video!
Looks amazing! Good job. Wish I could help out with the music 😄

Eyyy, I liked the video, it was very entertaining
Love the look - one thing I'd say is ADD SCREEN SHAKE. It'll make your combat look and feel much more satisfying!
Great suggestion! I'll definitely try to incorporate that. 😃
@@ElusivePandaGames Great 😀. Your game looks truly great - is it on steam?

@@Rick-ng3lr Ooo I like that idea! I think the more visual feedback the more satisfying the experience for sure.
Interesting, thank you for sharing your experience.
I am working on a game with a TH-camr in your video! I sent it to them, lol.
Reaky nice game you are working one love what we indies can do!

Well it's great to hear that my feedback is being appreciated. Good luck going forward!

How does this guy only have 500 subs lol , great video
I really like the enviroment, great job
looks good keep grinding man
@ElusivePanda who was the fiver person you hired?
Sorry about the expired Discord link everyone! I've updated the link in the description.
Your game looks like robllox for some reason????
It looks great though and has good mechanics and art
Good luck with your project.
Like hema said, I expected this to have a lot more views from a much bigger youtuber.
Definitely need some hit effects like screen shake and particles. Not sure if you already have sound. Block + parry is always good too
this is so cool!
I love it!
Try to implement hit stops for heavy attacks. Masahiro Sakurai covered this topic in one of his videos.

nice share~ how much did you pay for this system?
Good luck!

you should name your bosses
The background music you have for this video is just a bit too loud. It's somewhat competing with your voice in terms of volume.
Good to know for future videos. Thanks for the feedback.
700 views? damn
The one who ghosted you, if he took the money and left you should name him :)
As much as it upset me as to what he did, I'm going to take the high road and not name him.
Hi new here!
Your discord link seems to be expired can you please give us a new one.
