I occasionally checked on this video, just to amaze myself on how the gundam franchise had expanded through out the years and it really makes me happy to see that :D ! Also i love how you use the opening as the background music and it fits so well, especially the Gundam 00 Movie OP part, it really showed that how menacing and huge those suits are!
The range of the moonlight butterfly system absolutely scares me

Okay, I knew the "Turn A"'s "Moonlight Butterfly" ability was powerful, but I didn't realize just how OP it is. No wonder it's almost always reserved for a final "Bonus" fight, in the Gundam games.
People really don't get how ridiculous that ability is. There's a reason that Turn A, Turn X, and the Phoenix (in it's subcanon) are civilization enders. You don't Fuck with a Turn unit, they fuck with you.
Katoma Mundara and the Quantum Burst is even more powerful, even when it wasn't shown much in the anime. these mechs are more of a nightmare fuel when you go to that fridge at night...
00 Quanta is even more OP. It can fuck the ELS in a week using physical damage (no nanomachine shenaningans), can teleport across teh galaxy like nothing, and is invulnerable to every attack since it just phases the fuck out.
Katoma Mundara pssh Jesus yamato would fuck with it no problem. The ammkund of plot armor he has is insane

When you get to the RX-78-2, maybe you should keep a picture of it next to Amuro and Char? After a certain point, the humans for size comparison are just too small to see, so keeping the OG gundam there would help retain the sense of scale
I've seen an F-22A Raptor up close and in person at an airshow, and I was even allowed to sit in the cockpit; and to be completely honest, it's not as big as most might think.
Sure, the F-22A Raptor isn't exactly small either, but I can't honestly believe that a mobile suit/Gundam can really be that small, or in some cases, even smaller than an F-22A Raptor.
And yes, I realize it's an anime, but still...
I agree, considering the power they hold they are way too small in the list. For a machine that size to be under 20 feet I seriously doubt it to be possible. 30 to 40 feet is more practical for a Zaku or Gundam.

Actually I disagree to a degree. I don't think massive suits could move as effectively so they'd have to be smaller. Not only that but they'd be bigger targets as well. Although humanoid suits are impractical.... I need to stop analyzing Japanese cartoon shows...
Macross all variable fighters are about that size.
@@robolizard222 Yea, I actually think that the mobile suits in the series are a bit too large for my liking. Those in Victory where closer to the size I think feels correct for that kind of machine.
cool vid. I like that you included the F-22. So many people don't realize that the majority of MS are only as tall as most modern fighter jets are long. If people only knew just how big jets like the F-15 and SU-27 actually are up close.
ingwersengrady crazy thing is that our modern jets were the size that most heavy bombers were back in WW2
not really, the B-29 "superfortress" for example, is a massive 42 m, while its "smaller" brother the b-17 "flying fortress" was around 32m. most modern fighter jets are around 20m, with the f-22 having 18m(the size of a gundam), while the f-35 is even smaller.

Suddenly...core fighter got massive... Same goes with the Ball....never thought it was THAT large. Nonetheless, I really like the soundtrack used! Zeta's Pulse and the Moon's Cocoon is one of my favorite (is the song that start on 5:13 from Wing?). And WHHHHH??????? Hizack is the same height as a FLAT???! Must be because of that vernier on it's shoulders (it's cool point) Also, a note toward Kapool, it looks smaller in Turn A...By the way, you forgot Garuda-class plane...like the Audhumla.
I think the worst looking mobile weapon on here is seriously the Zakrello...By the way, to the uploader, a Side is a collection of Space Colony, and not a singular unit by itself.

Wow, I call hacks in Turn A/X Gundam. It has an escape pod, you can put warheads in it, it can teleport, it can repair both the user and the Gundam, and it can turn most of the solar system into dust in one blow.
It also chops! slices! And reaches that one spot on your back which always itches SUPREMELY BADLY and it's impossible to reach on your own!!!!!! Costs only one Tomino to obtain! Good stuff.

Was really surprised, I didn't know some suits were so small (wing especially) in comparison to others. Gadezza (sp?) is huge!!!. OP butterfly effect
its pretty close and i do enjoy the video. however zeons tanks are much larger than EF tanks the top of a magella attack tank is about the size of a core fighter alone. i think most people have a problem with the photos used. this is great though keep them coming!

Hold up how did they even come up with some of these. From my understanding, and from simply looking at the parts, the stark jegan is just the original jegan with some swapped forearms, shoulder armour, waist skirting armour, etc. None of the frame should have been touched so how did it lose height? Even if we went off of backpack height the top thruster fin can stretch higher than a standard jegan backpack.
Anyone know what happened or did the D type and its variants not actually reuse the CCA frame and made an entirely new one that's slightly smaller?
You got me my dude. I used several sources and tried to pick the height which made more since for each unit. I didn’t try to allow stuff like antennas to inflate the height of a suit and went for the head height when it seemed more appropriate. Unless the mobile suit had a crest or prominent fin which was a key characteristic, I used the head height. And then you got suits like Kshatriya which is body is kind of small compared to the four large wings/binders.
Although honestly these are fictional suits which they design, redesign, and homage by the dozens with each show, comic, or toy. They don’t always double check and can have some errors or illogical dimensions. These get passed along with little questioning, up to when I made the vid continuing the error even further unknowingly.
Looking at the two and I think it’s the beam saber holders that make it slightly taller. The Stark doesn’t have those holders instead having the shoulder rockets.
@@robolizard222 haha no sweat the video has loads of effort in it I'm not taking a dig at you. And besides, this is the same series that has transformable suits slower in MA mode vs the MS mode. WHAT IS THE POINT OF THE MA IF IT MAKES IT SLOWER????
