I swapped from iPhone early last year to a pixel 6 Pro because got so bored and wanted to try android again after 6 or so years. My experience on the pixel was pretty bad tbh. How companies as big as google can get away with releasing a half arsed phone like that is beyond me. I so wanted to like it, but from day one it was difficult. I never got the fingerprint scanner to work, mine was buggy and erratic and I was very disappointed. I got an S23ultra couple of days ago and its blown me away already. So glad I didn't go back to ios
I owned every single pixel flagship which came out. All of them had issues as you mentioned with the screen, getting hot, microphone issues network issues. The list was massive. I gave up in the end after pixel 5 pro which I send back All I can say they are a waste of money and any Chinese budget phones can kick there bud. Pure trash only marketing hype
I did the same, but the other way. I had almost every Samsung Note there was. A couple years ago when they skipped the Note, I switched to the IPhone 13 Pro Max and love it. Honestly wouldn’t say I like it better, it was just something different than what I was used to. Super happy with my IPhone, but can’t go wrong either way.
I agree with every single point 👉 I absolutely love my s23 Ultra! I'm coming from the s22 Ultra and the improvements are actually more noticeable than you would think.
This is my first Samsung since the Iphone 4 and I have zero regrets. Got the Samsung watch on sale and the galaxy buds 2 for free. Couldnt be happier (and the way things are looking for the iphone 15, I made a good choice)
I was the opposite haha. I left Apple from the iPhone 4. I've had various brands using Android from Samsung, LG, One Plus & Nexus. I'm now with the S23U and pretty happy. I like Android because I can play around with it & also change brands too.
Not only is the iPhone Max, big for no reason, how do they make you drag down from the top right to access control center? Unforgivable. However, I love the 13 mini. If I liked big phones, I would get the S23 ultra in a heartbeat.
I just swapped over to the S23 Ultra to try it out since iPhone 14 PM has been a buggy nightmare. So I'm experiencing Android for the first time since the S6. I LOVE how I can swipe down from anywhere on the screen. How that's not a thing on iPhone is ridiculous.
I love my s23 ultra so much too. I was shocked when I went to sleep in the night I still had 64% battery life and I use my phone quite a lot in my opinion.
I just got my s23 ultra yesterday. This is an awesome phone. So far the battery has been great and I'm loving the design. Never had an ultra model so this is a new experience for me. I used to be more of an Apple guy but the last 2 years or so I've gotten bored with ios and how limiting the OS is. Then they seem to be going backwards on software having bugs and battery life. I believe this will be the year alot of iPhone users switch to Android specifically for the s23 series.
@Lilly K I had an iPhone 13 mini too and while it was a great phone I got tired of how limiting ios is. Samsung isn't perfect but you can customize just about everything on it and make the phone uniquely yours. I've been enjoying my s23 ultra.
Yes! I’ve been watching these videos, as I’ve been considering switching. Oddly enough I was a HUGE Samsung/Android fan when they first came out and my husband was an iPhone guy, and eventually convinced me to switch (4s days). And I stuck with them up to the 5C (when the colored ones came out), and he switched to android, I used the galaxy 5 briefly and went back to an iPhone for a bit, then had a galaxy note 9, and went back to the iPhone (11) and had them every since, every 3-4 iPhones I go to a galaxy to try it for a bit. The s23U just looks fire. There’s not much variation from the 11-14, I’m just ready for something new.
I absolutely recommend trying another OS. Android is pretty cool and customizable. I switched to IOS in 2021 and still enjoy the experience. So if you want to switch to Android the S23U will be a great choice.
I like your honesty because I would also miss my Apple Watch ⌚️ Ultra but then again to have all the S23 ultras features is impossible to deny. I also miss the s pen.
Battery life on data heavily depends on signal strength. Even in 13 pro max it drains fast when the signal is weak and it fluctuates a lot from 1-4 bars. I don’t expect the s23u to make much of a difference in battery life when the reception takes huge toll on every phone I’ve ever owned
at last.. an explanation that makes sense to me.. was wondering why switching from a Redmi Note 10 Pro to the Samsung S23 Ultra, battery life was not living up to my expectation.. cheers to you good sir/ma'am
I actually praise this video for the battery life description accuracy. It is really annoying when a new s23 Ultra review comes up describing this insane 36+ hours of battery life when tests were run only on wifi networks. I own an s23 ultra and run it on a 4g network everyday (using whatsapp, ig, fb and YT) and can say it lasts at least 18 hours on a full charge
I start work at 6:00 AM and get off at 6:00 PM using maps, spotify, and Bluetooth airpods during work, watching TH-cam on my breaks, and texting through out the day. My battery is still 70% when I get home. Charges in less than 30 minutes. Perfect for me! Unless you're gaming the battery is phenomenal 😅
The funny thing is Apple knows FULL WELL that not being able to move your icons where you want them drives iOS fans crazy, but they're holding off on that feature so we'll praise them when they finally give it to us. So annoying! 🐬
I get my s23 ultra tomorrow! I'm excited made the switch and dropped my 14 pro max as it became boring for me. Most of my contacts use WhatsApp anyway to the whole iMessage isn't much of a loss
welcome to the best side you will be amazed by everything your phone can do if you know anyone with a iphone don't know if you already know this but you can charge another phone with your phone
@@Thatbeardedguy86 f*** them. I know here in the USA is a big thing with the green bubbles but all the time my "friends" with iphone ask me to take a picture of the moon and all I say is buy a Samsung.
I being into Apple’s ecosystem everything is so well integrated I can not leave the Apple just for a phone. Apple’s ecosystem is all about convenience and ease of doing work.
I agree with you on iMessage and not being able to do anything about that - but my issue is, Androids in general should have an iMessage competitor universally. I see that Google is trying with their messenger platform, but until it's a standard, Andriod will keep losing ground to Apple. We shouldn't have to lean on 3rd party apps to send high quality and videos to friends and families. I'm a big Samsung user, and although you can send a "Samsung link /quick share"; it comes off as half-baked. Why can't you just send it without all the fan fair? Send as a message instead of making people think it's a virus by sending a link. It shouldn't be that hard.
Google will never succeed coz rest of the world uses WhatsApp so they don't stand anywhere ..thier actual competitor is WhatsApp telegram etc ...iMessage is just a small market
Google’s is a standard now, it’s just apple that refuse to use it. That would be the case no matter what message platform became the new standard, apple will refuse to adopt it to keep the divide because they benefit from it.
@@b11480 I don't think it's true. Have you tried sending videos to another Andriod user ? It's still bad. I have an S23 Ultra and I sent a friend video that has an S23 Ultra. RCS is enabled on both phones and the video still looks bad. They really need to fix that. And I regret getting the S23 Ultra over the S22 Ultra. I like the design 10x more of the S22. This box of a phone they call the S23 Ultra may be for some, but the S22 Ultra is a lot more attractive. It's a done deal I guess, but damn.
I dont think you know but, its not android that doesnt allow iMessage, its literally Apple who doesnt let you have iMessage on other phones and in order to have iMessage, you need to buy a iphone.
I do. The S23 Ultra is a great phone stand alone. I’m trading mine in and getting another iPhone 14 pro max as is works so much better with my iPad Pro and MacBook Air M1. Android auto is clunky and looks very outdated compared to Apple CarPlay. My Toyota Yaris cross hybrid’s head unit works so much better with iPhone. The reason why Apple is better is that they designed the hardware and all the software.
So for a long time it was Huawei and other Android devices with the better battery life but then when the IPhone 13 Pro Max came it took the crown but it for awhile the Iphone battery life was never better, but I do like your reviews especially Samsung.
I agree with everything you said. I WAS an iphone person for yrs & do not miss the iphone after only 1 week. I am also getting to know how this phone works & it is amazing. 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
🐬As an iPhone 14 Pro Max owner (locked in the Apple Eco-system), I am tempted to change to this phone (Pixel 7 Pro is close 2nd). Great video as always Rjey. Greetings from 🇯🇵
I have been an iPhone user since iPhone 3 and I currently own a 14 pro max and the charging is IMPOSSIBLY slow, the weight is gross, the cameras stick out so much that stand up chargers just don't always work because it creates just enough distance it makes it hit or miss if it charges. Last night alone I left it on the charger and by tonight it was at 11% because it was pushed up just a smidge too far to charge thanks to the camera bump. It's boxiness makes it uncomfortable to hold. The layout and customization is very unwelcoming and much of it has been the same since day 1. I bought myself the Galaxy s23 Plus and I am in love! I bought the Ultra originally but it was too big and often needed 2 hands to use which put me off a bit. I ADORE my plus and it has replaced my iPhone as my daily driver. I'm getting over the Apple hype now. The ONLY thing I miss is iMessages because of how cleanly messages send and videos and photos send. I'll deal.
All 4 of my adult children use iPhones so I installed blue bubbles on my S22 ultra and Pixel 7 and used my son's 10 year old MacBook pro as the server. Works well for me.
Definitely a great video, and if Samsung gets enough people to switch to android, maybe that will force Apple to make changes or they will start losing more loyal fans..will see
@@WTC-1990 maybe yes maybe no, but that doesn't rule out the possibility that the iphone users is bigger than samsung. people cannot compare iphone and samsung, it is something different.
Thanks ! I appreciate your honestly informative presentation. As a life long I Phone consumer , ready for an upgrade , I will strongly consider getting the Samsung Ultra 23. In addition, I often forget what my wife asks of me, so the pen accessory will be handy.
Cool video, The s23 ultra is super awesome. i also moved from an iphone to samsung. But i did not get the s23. I got the s20ultra, and after the latest update. The s20ultra is a monster just like the s23 ultra
My 11 pro max is showing its age, looked at some phones the day before the 23 dropped. I instinctively picked up a 14pro 🤔 “ Damn this feels like the same phone” I told myself. After messing around with the fold 4 I decided to wait for the 23 to come out before I made a decision. I’m going tomorrow to buy something and it most likely won’t be a Apple. Seriously, when will they change the form factor? I’m over the “ they will buy it anyway sales strategy”
I am an iPhone user and I switched completely to Samsung. S23 U purple, Watch 5 Pro, galaxy buds and galaxy tags to locate keys and other items. What have I been missing all this time. Samsung has their own version of airdrop and it works seamless. Also, I was afraid that my Apple friends wouldn’t get high-quality videos. Now I just shared via QR code and they get the same video that I’m seeing on my phone. I absolutely love it.
I’m in between this phone and the iPhone 14 pro max. I want a very good battery life and camera!! I been a iPhone user for so long but to me the battery life just gets worse
Both are great options for camera and battery! If you want to switch it up go with the S23 Ultra, if you want to stick with familiarity the iPhone 14 Pro Max is great as well
switched to the s23 ultra 2 weeks ago from the iphone 13 pro max. I have to say , so far , i don't have any issues with social media apps, like NONE. Phone blew my mind on how smooth and fast it is. Love every bit of it, and am currently laughing at the iphone 15 launch
Hey Rjey great video buddy. I’m from Alberta and recently got a 14 pro max. I’ve been iPhone user for 14 years and I have a iMac and air pods pro 2. All that said I find myself getting a little bored with the apple formula. I still have the option to return the 14pm and get the s23 ultra which would actually save me $10 a month on my phone bill. Would you recommend or do you think I’m too “locked in” to the ecosystem?
This year is different? For the first time? They've been better than iphones for like 7yrs now. Just having air drop doesnt make it better when there's like 70 things that it does better than the iPhone.
After seeing so many ads when using my 23 ultra compared to my iPhone (things like Google feed). Realizing Samsungs App Store is not secure compared to play store or App Store, I am not feeling very secure with the s23. It does have nice features, but at the same time the galaxy Watch is not nearly as nice, Face ID allows me to open things on the fly without doing anything besides continuing to look at my screen. iOS is smoother with Bitwarden, I think for my use it’s back to IPhone. I miss more notifications with my s23 ultra, or they arrive late. I will miss the faster charging, multi screen and zoom though. Final decision was android auto missing some of the apps I use.
Can you tell a bit more, I’m considering leaving iPhone because I hear all the praise about the S23 ultra. Are your notifications coming late? What else? I also use Bitwarden, so how’s that worse?
I have both the iPhone 14 pro AND the s23 ultra in hand and I can tell you that HANDS DOWN the s23 ultra is by far the better experience. It’s like a breath of fresh air. It’s just nice to look at. I have to return one and it will probably be the ultra because I have an Apple Watch and the galaxy watch doesn’t have the apps I use for weight training etc. They just don’t exist on wear OS. The day Galaxy Watch gets those apps I’m leaving.
You accepted the customization services turned on. So the adds are customized to what you interested in. Turn that off and the adds will stop. Only popup I get is when I open galaxy apps.
@@bardz0sz notifications definitely come in late on every Android phone. It's the doze feature that saves battery. I've used Android for the past 10 years and it really just started about 4 years ago. I'll wake my phone up and get several different notifications from different apps.
You’re the FIRST TH-camr that I’ve heard that ACTUALLY uses the S Pen on a daily basis. I’m an avid S Pen user and it’s the main reason I only chose Samsung as my Android choice. I’ll be replacing my faithful 4 year old Note 10 plus with this phone in September. Nice video. Subscribed.
As a visually impaired individual, I have to say that iPhone is way better than Samsung for accessibility features. But if anyone has any advice I’m more than happy to take your advice. I have an s23 ultra btw
Sure reason s23 ultra is a beast as agreed by majority , but I still don’t understand why almost all youtubers still use iPhone, I can tell by the apple watch on his hand
Love your videos rjey but I will believe it when I see it in future videos about ditching the ultra watch. I find 90% of reviewers are switching to android while wearing a apple ultra watch
How’s the haptics on s23 Ultra? Does it simulate the same haptic as the iPhone does on some of the apps. Like TH-cam when increasing screen size or pulling to refresh. I know it’s silly but it make me connect to the phone.
I purchased a brand new black Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512Gb from Fido store at Scarborough Town Center on Saturday, June 17, 2023. I upgraded from my Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra 5G Smartphone. I love my new Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra 512Gb smartphone!!! I don't like iPhone at all. The pill, dynamic island on the iPhone is horrible looking to me comparing to the tiny hole on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphone!!!😊😆😀
Is just on release software imagine as they refine the software down the road how much better it can get too as well as performance this phone is truly going to be something once it's fully refined
I never completely switched from Android, but I did have the iphone 11 and now the 13 pro max. I gave it an honest shot, but I can to the conclusion that by itself, the iphone is ok at best and that going knee deep in the ecosystem was the only way I would see any real value. I still have my iphone since it is paid off, and I want to see what direction Apple is going. Just upgraded the 22 ultra to the 23 ultra and it feels good to tailor my experience exactly how I see fit again. Also grabbed the watch 5 pro and buds pro 2, so I am set.
Great review, and I love my S23 ultra, but seriously 10hrs screen on time ?? I'm lucky if I get 6 hours and that's with normal use. My S23 Ultra is dead by 10pm. Also, OneUi 5.1 is plagued with bugs on mine. The colour pallet wallpaper feature is completely broken, and volume slider won't theme among other things. This is all out of the box. I'm on the January patch here in Australia. Hopefully, the February patch will fix issues. Battery life is OK, not great at all. I do love the phone and how fast it runs.
@@Thatbeardedguy86 You’re not wrong buddy. I’m definitely one of many having issues. Just updated to February patch and battery seems a little better. Color palette bug is still there.
@@eddiemunoz3677 I've never tried the Color Palette wallpaper but mine does seem to work. For battery, try going into battery and under RAM turn off Ram Plus. It's barely helpful and from what I heard from a Samsung rep it's a big battery drain. Had mine off since day 2 and never noticed a performance difference.
@@eddiemunoz3677 if you feel like something is wrong with your unit then I'd suggest asking for a replacement. It's quite a costly device, don't risk it!
@@raizo6895 Thanks mate. Yes I'll call Samsung today and see what they say. I'm definitely not getting this "amazing" battery life people are claiming and the wallpaper bug is driving me bonkers lol
I switched to the ultra 23 for 2 days and went right back to iPhone. Ultra has more features but the iPhone is more fluid.. was having to reboot apps over and over on the 23. Phone quality was worse and photos were over saturated. The iPhone just works.. i have tablets and computers to do all the extra stuff but for 1300 i shouldn’t be having to worry about everything i was doing . I don’t care about my battery lasting forever if it won’t work how it’s suppose to . If i didn’t have a 14 pro max right next to the 23 i probably would’ve kept it.. people saying iOS is boring . I’m a 33 year old man. Idgad about customizing my Home Screen or using a pen. I just need the phone to work
Complete opposite for me. I’ve switched from a galaxy s20 to the iPhone 14 pro max, my galaxy had a far better camera and the notifications on the iPhone are downright horrendous, trading in for the s23 ultra because I cannot stand this thing
I agree. I have my Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus as my main phone for the past 4 years and bought the 14PM to use along with it. First time using apple and I got the Ultra Watch and air pods pro to maximize my apple experience. It was nice. Everything connects smoothly. I used it for a few months (power user) and I always went back to my 4 year old S10 plus. I enjoyed using both phones but I ended up giving the iPhone 14PM to my dad and I gave the air pods pro to my cousin. I actually bought the S23 Ultra in green instead. I was really trying to switch and join the apple hype but it just isn't me. Along with the "look at me" factor that buying the high end apple products go along with. Apple products are great and all and I love the build quality and everything just works but although the 14PM was great it didn't really impress me. Yes is great but the limitations are a downside for me compared to android os. My only issue now is that I LOVE my Ultra Watch which I kept for myself but it definitely won't work with the S23 Ultra.. I'm thinking of getting a cheap iPhone just to fully utilize the Ultra Watch 😅
You’ll be back trust me I can’t tell you how many times I switched it won’t take long it’ll start acting up and you’ll start missing the reliability of an iPhone
I ordered a case on Casetify since 13 Feb. It's still yet to arrive. Over a week of delay! I keep getting confusing shipment notifications apologizing and all -- no actual details and reasons of the delay. The worst online shopping experience ever, for me!!!! By the way, I live in Berlin, Germany.
Good video. I'm from Alberta and getting ready to upgrade from the s21 ultra on the bring it back program. I want the s23 ultra but it's cheaper now to get the iPhone 14pm. What are your thoughts is the price worth spending more every month on the s23 ultra or would I be ok with the iPhone 14pm? And I haven't owned an iPhone since the first iPhone 3g I think it was called.
Hi Mike I owned all the notes back to the note 4. I also owned all iPhones now on iPhone 13 Pro Max. My experience is that the iPhone is far superior on basics network speed, network coverage and battery life. You got much better privacy and build in apps like apple notes are unbeatable in features. I love the note s22 ultra but if I go out need to use navigation I feel the note could let me down. My note one time ended up draining battery to 0 on navigation. Let’s say it this way if I had to choose a reliable phone to go on a trip it be the iPhone
I have both the IPhone 14 Pro and S23 Ultra and I've been using my iPhone as my work phone and my s23 ultra as my personal phone. I love the s23 ultra as it's much more customizable and "techy"
Samsung phones go for a machine learning process for about 2 weeks. We’re it learns what apps you learn. At that point it should give you decent battery life. If not factory reset and install apps manually.
Hey Robert. Go to "more battery settings" or search settings for "performance profile". Change the performance profile to "light" (from standard). I read you lose about 10% power, but the battery life increases significantly. The phone is so fast, i don't notice the degraded speed. If you notice any issues you can always put it back to standard.
I get 12 straight of battery life without charging and that's throwing in the fact I play cod mobile heavily. At the end of the day because I work 12 hrs shifts. I be having around 20% battery life left, that's enough to play 3 more rounds of cod mobile before I go to sleep.
But how is the camera shutter speed? My note 10 had a little lag to when my kid was running and I’d want to take a picture it would be blurry. Only reason I switched to Apple was because of the camera speed and performance
Most of the tech youtubers just skip this part. Most are either living a single life or they are in a relationships without kids. At least thats how i would most probably explain it. For me with 2 small kids its an essential part. These small moments which happen from time to time can only be taken by what you have in your pockets (literally).... Tried S22, S22+ for a week and blurry images 9/10. With my old iphone 11 its 1/10. For me this and not some Spen is essential and the review becomes worthless as i need to look elsewhere.
I just bought a 13 mini because of its compact size after using Pixels and Galaxies for years. And using an iPhone is a PAIN!! it's like using a dumb phone with some smartphone features.
first time what ever since the galaxy s series has been out it has and always will be a better phone then iphones it's not even fair if you do a honest iPhone vs samsung category the s or the note series would win
Most reviewers who are actually blind apple fanboys, make videos about switching to android, end up saying things like 'ecosystem' or 'convenience' for them not switching. Honestly, its frustrating. Android is just way better. Ios becoming more and more like android is proof of that fact. Thanks for you no nonsense, no bs review.
Got a iphone 14 pro max from work and got a s23 ultra 256GB version as my personal phone, the ultra shits all over the iphone, only thing i hate about it is that sending pics from ultra to iphone via sms the picture is so blurry
I love the hardware of the Samsung phones but I strongly hate the lack of polish in the software. So I always end up coming back to iOS. I’m happy with the 14 pro max . It’s a well optimized beast ❤🎉
@@EmptyNullified that could be true, but you got to admit the apps look and run way better on iOS . And so It ruins the premium price tag for me and I always come back amazed
@@Ghost88o9 but on average have less features and some don't actually. YT Music for example sucks completely and crashes randomly. Yes, a Google app, what did I expect...
iPhones are way too slow , I just got a 14 pro max switching from a galaxy s20 and I literally have never hated a phone so much in my life. It’s iMessage and FaceTime versus everything else galaxy is better at. I hate that I have to choose between being able to communicate with friends better versus having the better phone. In America iMessage and FaceTime airdrop but mostly iMessage is what keep people in the iPhone cult. I have to sacrifice better communication for a better phone which is a lose lose situation. I ultimately am trading in my 14 pro max for the galaxy s23 because social acceptance isn’t worth the trade off of having a better device.
IDK for some reason I regret moving to S23 Ultra from iPhone 13 but now owning an iPhone 14 pro max.. I find camera, apps availability and charging speeds better when compared to Apple but from my view SPen is so overrated and not so useful and it doesn’t learn / adapt to your needs except you can simply write to take few words for your reminders like most of reviewers show in their reviews to buy milk or type Awesome for their thumbnails - Peace You can still live without a Spen… Do you think you have the time to take out your spen scribble to take a reminder and save it, take out your phone unlock it and buy a bottle of milk 😢 And honestly if it’s not for that camera you will regret and Gaming Lol Heavy FPS drops.. Agree to the fact that iOS doesn’t offer customisation like Android but not worth it to upgrade to flagships at this price range and you still get those even in midrange phones of samsung. Purely my views
Apple has short change you jokers for so long, y'all don't know better products if it hit you in the ass, when you touch Samsung phones with pack features y'all call them gimmicky.
Issue with Samsung is that they give those pack features experience even in their midrange and they ask you to pay heavy just for so called zoom camera and fool you every year.. the reason why we don’t know better products in Samsung - do they give one? They know to hit you in the ass pay heavy and make people like you claim that you spent each dollar worth for some pathetic phone.
That’s the biggest problem with iPhone /apple you can’t move iron and You can’t plug it into your computer and use it as a hard drive great phones but apple wants you to use it like they want too always bugs me ..
from me, if u want something that simple, open phone and chat bla bla bla.. iphone is the best option. but if u want something that makes u more productive (custom), the best option is samsung (open source OS)
usong the s23u and an everyday experience with it is a cloud 9... try the 200mp too then do a screen recording of the picture you took with pinching in or zooming the scale with ur fingers and youd be surprised the so many details you can see even if the pic was taken from kilometers away... then do a reels with music .... gosh its so cool.... i have seen from a mate who uses 14promax and nooooppppeeee... s23u is just something else
I tired to ditch the iPhone I couldn’t cause the interface iMessage FaceTime 😂😭it’s so hard back to my ip 14 pm and AWU 👍😄 But also back to my note 20 ultra and s22u why cause I’m usually signing pdf s and doing my illustrations yh I’m a part time sketch artist 😎 I need Samsung for my work and iPhone for family and friends
It's been a week with me and I enjoy the multi-tasking and customizing options on this phone. The charging speed with the free 25W OEM power brick is also fast, at 35-38 min., from ca. 20% to 85%, with battery lock turned on. I've tried playing some light and heavy games and with brawl stars, it's so smooth even with FHD. It's also amazing in LOL:WR, though it still has no max all settings. I'm just about to try it with Genshin. Overall, hardly no heating and the game booster feature where you can charge your phone directly instead of the battery helped minimize the heat despite playing for ± 2 hours. The audio might not be as loud as a dedicated speaker, but it can generate the sound of the video quite accurately in its own range. The video quality, amazing. The only limit are the videos that I'm watching, which are mostly non HDR or locked at 30FPS, and the internet connection for streaming on TH-cam. I did notice some color banding in some videos, but I guess it's also because they're not HD vids. Camera wise, I'm still exploring and so far, the shots are decent, for my standards at least and I'm not too keen photos and videos and all that. Overall, it's worth the Php 82K (+taxes, inflation, etc.). In USD that's a little over USD 1.4K. I pre-ordered it so it's the Green 12GB/512GB variant which right now would cost about Php 8K more after the promo.
In US, most people actually use iphones, so there is a sort of social bullying going on with blue bubbles vs green bubbles in chats. Ppl with green non-IOS bubbles are excluded from group chats, some people don't even date others of they are not on iphones, and other weirder contexts. I think also MKBHD has a video addressing that specific topic. While in EU this is not an issue, as we use tons of messaging apps, most ppl in the US only use the imessage app :)
My S23 ultra just isn't getting good battery life. I hear others about having great battery life so I'm wondering if there is a setting that others use that I don't know about.
I can live with Samsung or Pixel (not the Pixel 6 or 6a). But the S23 is EXPENSIVE. The idea of spending 1K plus on a PHONE is ridiculous (full disclosure...I remember "party lines" from the 50's). So I will stick with Pixel 5 until I get the Pixel 7a (used).
I heard the USB-C on iPhone 15 is still going to be limited by an IC. A non-Apple USB-C charger is gonna have limited functionality (Like charging speed) IF it still works.
iPhone 14PM in all battery test videos lasted around 20 minutes longer than S23U. Why do you need the fast charge? Honestly? Are you only going to sleep for 30 minutes before getting up again? Who cares. It learns your pattern and only charges to 80% to protect the life of the battery. It charges the last 20% based on when you normally get up. I don’t know anyone who uses the split screen, you say you love having split screen, so you can watch a video whilst scrolling through Twitter? Well how can you do that? You cannot watch a video and scroll Twitter at the same time, unless you have an extra set of independent eyes. Don’t get me wrong, the iPhone is boring as hell and the S23U is a fantastic phone, I just find the reasons why one is better than other a little bit over the top.

Pixel has a great camera but other than that, I wouldn't ever have one for now
@@UnseenSpirit android 12 was the culprit, after android 13 update on my pixel 6a, all problems are gone, its so much smoother and bug free now!
I owned every single pixel flagship which came out. All of them had issues as you mentioned with the screen, getting hot, microphone issues network issues. The list was massive. I gave up in the end after pixel 5 pro which I send back
All I can say they are a waste of money and any Chinese budget phones can kick there bud.
Pure trash only marketing hype
Pixel 6 wasn't good at all. Welcome to the galaxy family
I agree with you, i am an iPhone user for the past 8 years but now that i used my galaxy s23 ultra a week i love it and i am not going back to iPhone.
I agree with every single point 👉 I absolutely love my s23 Ultra! I'm coming from the s22 Ultra and the improvements are actually more noticeable than you would think.
I never got 10 hours of screen on time on my s23 ultra! Maximum I got was 8 45 hours I didn't even get to 9 hours
@L.G.I I get 9 regularly, but I have had 10 a couple of times. On light processor mode, I get 10+ hours easy. The battery life is amazing 👏

Apple is better
I get my S23 10 days ago and I love it, i don’t feel I need my IPhone back , congrats to Samsung for this phone 🥳
I love the 13 mini, never getting rid of it
Totally agree. Small phones are awesome!!! Unfortunately there's only Zenfone 9 and it's hard to come by
I just swapped over to the S23 Ultra to try it out since iPhone 14 PM has been a buggy nightmare. So I'm experiencing Android for the first time since the S6. I LOVE how I can swipe down from anywhere on the screen. How that's not a thing on iPhone is ridiculous.
Apple s soo stubborn, they dont fix anything - basically use it as it is or fuck off attitude
@@Thatbeardedguy86 Its becuse Apple never focuses on fixing simple things. They are too stubborn
Yess as an iPhone 13 mini user.. I’m def thinking about switching over to Samsung. I’m tired of how burning IOS is smh 🤦🏽♀️
@Lilly K I had an iPhone 13 mini too and while it was a great phone I got tired of how limiting ios is. Samsung isn't perfect but you can customize just about everything on it and make the phone uniquely yours. I've been enjoying my s23 ultra.
I got my s23 ultra 30 seconds ago! So far the battery has been great!
I just switch to iphone recently..
Great review! Tottaly Agree with you. iPhone became so boring! And yes battery Life is sooo much better on the 23 Ultra!
Battery life is astonishingly good, I'm surprised

@@NoCampDad how is the galaxy watch 5 pro I am trading in my 14 pro for s23 ultra 512gb and I am gonna miss my apple watch ultra
Bro. Just move to a better area with 5G. Duh /s
at last.. an explanation that makes sense to me.. was wondering why switching from a Redmi Note 10 Pro to the Samsung S23 Ultra, battery life was not living up to my expectation.. cheers to you good sir/ma'am
In 13 pro max? Bro what is you on? Haha literally you can do whatever you want with it and you'll get 8 hours of on time screen
Never heard of anyone getting anoyed of this but ok😅

I have an iPhone 13 mini for anything iOS (will never get rid of it) But the S23 has smashed all other phones out of the park. An all round Beast!
I being into Apple’s ecosystem everything is so well integrated I can not leave the Apple just for a phone. Apple’s ecosystem is all about convenience and ease of doing work.
Ok isheep
I have everything Apple and the ecosystem is overrated.
@@backnu I'm pretty sure overall design aside you've ended up with the far better phone though.
I dont think you know but, its not android that doesnt allow iMessage, its literally Apple who doesnt let you have iMessage on other phones and in order to have iMessage, you need to buy a iphone.
I've come from note 20 ultra. And what a jump this was. The phone is simply amazing in every department. Nobody would regret buying this phone.
@@kevinwheatley1097 some people would just never adapt to Android. Like I would never adapt to IOS. So it's personal thing, I guess.

@@fredygonzalez962 I'm so happy! It was a great decision. The only thing I miss is Apple Pay.

I read you lose about 10% power, but the battery life increases significantly. The phone is so fast, i don't notice the degraded speed. If you notice any issues you can always put it back to standard.
That was the first thing I did two weeks ago. I even factory reset the phone for a clean install, and nothing.
I get 12 straight of battery life without charging and that's throwing in the fact I play cod mobile heavily. At the end of the day because I work 12 hrs shifts. I be having around 20% battery life left, that's enough to play 3 more rounds of cod mobile before I go to sleep.
Matters not for or against but should always give it more time then 10 days
🐬 That tip you mentioned about jotting down the next day's goals was great. Definitely gonna use that. Thanks, man ✌🏽
A daily routine is the key to a successful life
3 things to learn from this video
1) iphone has become boring
2) s23 ultra is much more improved
3) wives can be scary so Spen can be helpful
Third one is a pretty important lesson😅
I subscribed by the way keep it up bro 🔥
Appreciate it!!
If I didn’t have my Apple Watch ultra i would switch right away…
Because my experience with the 14pro not so good regret switching from the 13pro
S23 ultra is ridiculously smooth even more than ios, I don't know what weed this phone is on but it's amazing
If an iPhone user sends a video to an S23 w rcs on does it cut the quality like it used to?
Most reviewers who are actually blind apple fanboys, make videos about switching to android, end up saying things like 'ecosystem' or 'convenience' for them not switching. Honestly, its frustrating.
Android is just way better. Ios becoming more and more like android is proof of that fact.
Thanks for you no nonsense, no bs review.
Got a iphone 14 pro max from work and got a s23 ultra 256GB version as my personal phone, the ultra shits all over the iphone, only thing i hate about it is that sending pics from ultra to iphone via sms the picture is so blurry
Couldn't agree more. Just upgraded from iphone 14 pro max to S23 ultra. Been an apple user since 2013.
You don’t miss iMessage and facetime? Being able to send quality videos and photos on a android is impossible
@@TyroneBiggums789what are u talking about?
I love the hardware of the Samsung phones but I strongly hate the lack of polish in the software. So I always end up coming back to iOS. I’m happy with the 14 pro max . It’s a well optimized beast ❤🎉
iOS has more bugs than Android imo
@@TyroneBiggums789 which S23 are you getting?
who is the better in photo and video ?
IDK for some reason I regret moving to S23 Ultra from iPhone 13 but now owning an iPhone 14 pro max.. I find camera, apps availability and charging speeds better when compared to Apple but from my view SPen is so overrated and not so useful and it doesn’t learn / adapt to your needs except you can simply write to take few words for your reminders like most of reviewers show in their reviews to buy milk or type Awesome for their thumbnails - Peace
You can still live without a Spen… Do you think you have the time to take out your spen scribble to take a reminder and save it, take out your phone unlock it and buy a bottle of milk 😢
And honestly if it’s not for that camera you will regret and Gaming Lol Heavy FPS drops..
I’ve just watched your video where you switched from iPhone to the Z Fold 4. What happened?! Did you switch again? 😆
usong the s23u and an everyday experience with it is a cloud 9... try the 200mp too then do a screen recording of the picture you took with pinching in or zooming the scale with ur fingers and youd be surprised the so many details you can see even if the pic was taken from kilometers away... then do a reels with music .... gosh its so cool.... i have seen from a mate who uses 14promax and nooooppppeeee... s23u is just something else
Video quality is just too smooth to watch. Wonderful unbiased review!
The leap in video quality of my new S23 Ultra over my Exynos S21 Ultra is massive. Next level. An astonishing leap forward.
I tired to ditch the iPhone I couldn’t cause the interface iMessage FaceTime 😂😭it’s so hard back to my ip 14 pm and AWU 👍😄
But also back to my note 20 ultra and s22u why cause I’m usually signing pdf s and doing my illustrations yh I’m a part time sketch artist 😎
I need Samsung for my work and iPhone for family and friends
iPhone is absolute shit ! Very very boring with many things from 5-6 fucking years..yuk 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮
Snap with clipboard. Main reason i stock with the Samsung keyboard
why Imessage I don't understand the hold with the message it's just a way to get a text message. what is the problem or hold?🐬
It's a US issue
In US, most people actually use iphones, so there is a sort of social bullying going on with blue bubbles vs green bubbles in chats. Ppl with green non-IOS bubbles are excluded from group chats, some people don't even date others of they are not on iphones, and other weirder contexts. I think also MKBHD has a video addressing that specific topic. While in EU this is not an issue, as we use tons of messaging apps, most ppl in the US only use the imessage app :)
From Australia here. Wow I was wondering why ppl get upset about I msg. That is interesting. Won’t date if have a green bubble 🤣
My S23 ultra just isn't getting good battery life. I hear others about having great battery life so I'm wondering if there is a setting that others use that I don't know about.
You should try out edge panels and have clipboard as a panel
Why wouldn’t you charge your phone at night while you sleep? That’s crazy not to
I can live with Samsung or Pixel (not the Pixel 6 or 6a).
A non-Apple USB-C charger is gonna have limited functionality (Like charging speed) IF it still works.
man does the capture speed option work with all lenses or just main cam ?
All lenses
iPhone 14PM in all battery test videos lasted around 20 minutes longer than S23U.
