      i have also AX50 router.. i lost alot of upload speed in that router :( how about you ?

    • @ZanderLexx
      @ZanderLexx 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@taisbello The 'pure' speed test on from my provider is 1Gbit but the real speed on wire was around 920-950 Mbits/s Now on wireless I get 690 but in real world applications I see no difference at all . Everything is fast as before. Steam works the same, multiplayer games the same with absolutely no lag , also no buffering on even 8k videos on TH-cam. But if you connect more that the PC to the router like a tv and a phone on the same 5G band you might loose some download speed but no lag. That's the important one no lag, because even if you connect your PC trough wire you will still lose some bandwidth if you connect other devices as well to the router.
      Mind you that my router and wireless card have only a wall with a wooden door behind them. That was the point for my setup anyway, no more cables and only from one room to the other.

      I got a TX50 but had to return it and get the 3000 because the location behind the pc means it's on the opposite side of the router, and for some reason the PC interferes so much, maybe because of electronics, that unless I reotated the pc on the side it would only give me 80Mbps out of 230Mbps with Ethernet. With the Archer TX3000 I get identical speed like with Ethernet. It's nitpicky but I didn't want my tower sideways, and I can reposition the antenna to get the best spot possible, but the top of the tower is fine and convenient since it's a magnet. .

    I am thinking of buying it, my "Asus pcie ac88" is failing, it presents a critical error that usually appears after years of use (the device turns off), in my case it only appears with versions of windows 10 20h2 or higher, Asus does not It has released new drivers since 2018, that is why I am thinking of buying this wifi network adapter for wifi technology 6, bluetooth 5.0 and also because it has updated drivers.
    My question is: is there a next range to this type of network cards with wifi 6 and bt5.0? I am used to using powerful wifi cards like ac88 (ac3100) with 4 antennas.

    Are you utilizing SSD hard drives to handle the promised faster writing/reading speeds? If so it may be worth checking your Task manager to how much of their power is being utilized.

    • @mica4977
      @mica4977 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CJC051 Is a type of data storage. HDD (Hard Disk Drive) are the older type which have spinning disks while SSD (Solid state drive) don't have any moving parts similar to how memory cards work. HDDs are slower in comparison because they have to physically spin the disk to locate the files or a place to write to, while SSDs don't have that limiting factor.
      HDDs are sold in two speeds, 7.2k rpms which tops read/writing speeds of up to roughly 110mb/s and ones that spins at 5400 with even slower speeds. Compared to this SSDs have an upper limit of 550mb/s read/writes.

    I'm not trying to dig here, just want others to get helpful information who wind up here as I did. So for this wifi card to make sense you really need to have a dualband router and an internet connection worthy of such. In my work load I use this card on a plex media server that has far to many drives and fans to want it anywhere near me. It's able to handle streaming out a 70mb/s copy of Dune in dolby vision 4k with no issue what so ever in fact the router becomes taxed if more than a few devices try and use it while this is going on.
    I can pull my full 1gb down and 40up with this card no issues. Played some light gaming on it and while its still noticeable to people who play FPS at a high level its more than livable for more casual affairs. Max transfer speed recorded was right around 600mb/s but that was the sata based ssd tapping out and not the connection per say. Still a good card for the money even with tri-bands on the market now its hard to see benefit when its near impossible to get a connection fast enough to use it and store media to match.

      @Cheesesalad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gadgetsobsession Oh, yes. So far it works good. The bandwith is there. However when you have your thighs up and in front of a controller the input lag gets severe, as the water in your legs is a rather sufficient radiation shield against radio waves. Keep that in mind and you are good.

    • @Cheesesalad
      @Cheesesalad 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I should add that this depends on where you put the antenna. If it's off center from your position you can put the controller in your lap and put your legs up in front of it no problem. As long as the signal bounces around in the room in a way that can reach your controllers, it works flawlessly.
      Aim one antenna horizontally and the other vertically and you have optimal coverage.
      I also have no speed related problems as others mentioned. Find the best spot for the antenna and you are golden. Can't cheat the laws of physics... Take care

    Them speeds do seem a bit low, over here we just bought an Asus router and I got myself the Archer tx50e, the router is about 3 or 4 meters away in another room and I'm getting transfer speeds of around 60mb per second, range also seems really good.
    Only just got it yesterday so still working on optimising it as we've not set it up properly yet, with any luck with some messing on the settings, might get some extra speed and range out of this thing.
