  • Upgrading an Old PC's Wireless with TP Link Archer TXE75E (6Ghz Band Setup and Speed Tests)
In this video i'm going to be upgrading the wireless in a nine year old computer to demonstrate real world (Not simulated) speeds via Open Speed Test. I'll also talk about setting up the 6ghz band and the speed bumps I discovered from not reading the manual. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases.

Please note that while the packaging shows Bluetooth 5.2 support, you can update the firmware from the TP-Link website to support Bluetooth 5.3. This was a real world, internal Loal Area Network test and was not simulated. If you have poor internet service this wireless adapter will not improve performance.

Hi, so i need some assistance.
My GPU covers my 2nd PCIeX1 slot but doesn't cover my first PCIeX1 slot. The first slot is above the GPU (Horizontal lay) and below the CPU fan. I did not realize this and inputed the adapter into the X4 slot (closest to the F_USB slot).
I would like to only utilize the X1 slot but am worried that because i know the bluetooth cable won't reach the F_USB slot. Is there a way to icnrease the length of that cable via extension or is there such a thing as a larger cable? and if so, is it "Okay" if that cable is touching the GPU's cables or GPu itself since it will have to go around the GPU (i can't go through it obviously).
    Please help!

Yes, is okay if it touches the gpu or the cable and it won’t disrupt anything but make sure the cable doesn’t hit any fans.
You can use extension online that are specific for your problems

This is a great review, thanks for sharing! The TP-Link Archer TXE75E seems like a solid choice for upgrading older PCs. I'm impressed by the speed improvements you demonstrated, especially when compared to the old onboard wireless card. It's good to know that it can breathe new life into aging systems. I'd be interested to know more about your experiences with the 6GHz band and any other noteworthy features you discovered. Keep up the good work! 👍

Thank you. As far as the 6ghz Wifi 6 it took a bit research and I found out that there are some system requirements the need to be met in order to successfully see the wifi 6 ssid broadcasted. They are actually listed in the manual in fine print. I'm thinking about doing a follow up video on this.

I never really knew a difference between network speeds until I found out my win7 pc wouldn’t connect to 5.0GHz. I thought Wi-Fi was wireless. My pc was fast on Ethernet for the past few years. But after I moved my pc to Wi-Fi only I ran into many speed problems. Have a 50ft Ethernet cable from my modem to pc. So I might buy this after watching the results. I know I can’t get 6GHz without win11.

    What about 5400 Mbit/s they advertise or even 2400 Mbit/s ? 1 Gbps/s is not much for wifi 6?

The The TP Link Archer TXE75E is a Wifi to PCI slot adapter, allowing you to connect to an existing Wifi network, established by your router/modem, normally provided by your internet service provider.
