Your video is great! It’s enjoyable to hear you telling the story about Rado. I live in Thailand where Rado is well-known, especially for the Diastar line. I’ve owned a Diastar original for around 3-4 years and still love it. Your XL version looks nice.

Love these watch and you are absolutely right about being popular in SE asia, my grandfather used to own one and now I got mine too. In addition to your video, the rotating anchor logo is not just for aesthetic purposes but also a reminder when to service the watch. Keep it up and hope you make more content like this👍
Great review. I have the exact same watch and very satisfied with it. I also have the Rado Rattrapante Diastar and is one of my favorites. Rado especially the Diastar series is very much underrated and a lot of folks do not like the case design. No matter what, wear your watch because you like it and it pleases you as well as it serves the purpose well.

Thanks for the sub! That's one of the things I love about Rado; they are seen as a mark of success elsewhere but are almost unknown here. Not sure where you are located nowadays but here in the States, I have found that the online dealer with the best inventory and prices for Rado is Ashford. Jomashop is a good source as well with decent prices and maybe a better selection of traditional Diastar designs. Most other dealers don't even carry Rado watches. It is unfortunate because Rado is one of my favorite brands. Thanks for the feedback!
Have owned one of these since 2006. The only difference is mine has a black face. It’s my second rado watch and I have worn it fairly consistently and it’s held up very well with zero scratches.
Love this watch but didn’t realize the bracelet was specialized. I hate bracelets so this is now a no go. Thanks for saving me some coin. I also have never seen a Rado without a date, which is a bummer. Btw, you should include a wrist shot.
I've got the black dial version of it, with red cardinal markers and also love it. FWIW, regading original DiaStar water resistance, the current repop of the 35mm one indeed only has 30m WR, but if you look up ads from the 1960s, they mention a WR of 720ft, that is 220m. BJ JA I have seen the red dial version and I’m quite sure that it was a genuine Rado color scheme. I’ve only seen it in photos, however. I believe it is the least common color variant. The black dial seems to be the most common.
