I've enjoyed my diastar since 1999 and the case / face look new, the scratch resistance is incredible of course the plated stainless band does show some wear but what an amazing watch!
I wear my gold diastar original automatic everyday. The only time i take it off is when i sleep at night and shower. It is tough as nails and beautiful as the first day i bought it from the AD. Great for everyday wear. Of course if i do heavy dirty work or workout then i take it off. Just common sense. I would do the same to any watch that there are some dirty work type activities that i dont want the smell on my watch.

Between the current 38.5 new steel black dial Diastar and the limited sky blue steel Diastar which would you suggest? Or the gold plated black dial 38.5?
My local vintage watch dealer has an original Diastar totally serviced for 200 but with no band. I think I'm gonna buy it. But there's so many high quality fake Diastars out there due to it being a popular counterfeited model. How do I know a real Diastar from a fake one? Thanks
I just buy from authorized dealers. No grey, aftermarket shnooks

Some will reckon this watch is really ugly but if it's so widely counterfeited, it can't be that bad right ? Personally, I think it's awesome.

That's not black. It's blue. It's a vintage Rado Original Diastar. Around 25 years old. Silver one is 6y old now

It doesnt move on all models, just the more expensive ones
