So, I used Jheri curl juice on my natural hair. You guys said you wanted to see a wash n go so here we are - back in the 80’s with Lustre’s Curl Activator Jel. You guys, I have tried it all, eco styler gel, wetline gel xtreme, you name it. But NEVER in a million years could I have expected this. I really didn’t have high expectations, but chile. The combination of the wetline gel and luster’s s curl activator on natural hair?! It’s a wrap. S/O to Faye in the City for this game changer.

I'm on day 3 after using S Curl Activator and my hair is still super soft. I'm sold on this product. I love running my fingers through my hair feeling how incredibly soft it is now. I have a feeling my hair will grow much faster being so soft. It's hard to believe that a product I spent less than 5 dollars on is this great. I'm so glad I learned about this product on TH-cam. Your hair looks great I will keep watching your videos to see your experience with this product and other great ideas.

omg this reminds me of some clear stuff my mom used in my hair as a kid to get my ringlets to set and it always stayed nice and soft. I think I'll try this too

Ok. I gave this a try but I used Cantu JBCO gel on top cuz I already had it.
It worked!!! No crunch, no flakes, got curl definition and my hair held up well.
I’ve secretly been using this combo...but the fact that my fav Master of Trichology co-signs it makes me happy! P.S When you “rose from the ashes of dry hair” at the end of the song, that made me lose it lol

For optimum results I've seen they use 3 products. The gel, the S curl spray and the wet line gel or another gel hold.
Your skin looks like GOLD! Beautiful hair!
The funny thing is that I've been knowing this but all of the sudden I started seeing different products for this purpose. It's the gel, but the activator locks it in and give it a definition. I'm so glad people are now understanding that gel is what gives it the curls 🙂

Afope Atoyebi I feel silly now! I just realized Juneteenth is only a thing in the US (duh 🤦🏽♀️😅) It was ok. I had to work, so just another day for me really. I wish they would make it into a national holiday! That would be super nice.

😂They really tried it. I don't think the protein treatment was what made the difference to be honest, so I say go for it.
I'm so happy for you. Looking good! My hair hates glycerin if it's the first or second ingredient in my stylers. Oddly it makes my hair dry and crispy. It makes no sense to me. I miss out on so many products because of it. :(

I have jheri curls in my first year of sec school. Hated the sticky feel, went out of my way not to touch my hair. Ligit did not know it could be used on natural hair.

Did you find it difficult to wash out? Like it knotted in white balls in the hair on washing? That’s what I experienced and I don’t know if I got a bad tub or that’s what it does. No one else who has used this has come back to talk about what happens on wash day. It gave me a bomb wash n go that lasted really well but getting it out of my hair was a nightmare. I thought I’d have to chop off my hair as I struggled to get it out. I used this with the green ecostyler though

Aww thank you - can you believe that it's now day 5 hair and my hair is STILL defined, AND soft. I'm so confused. I had previously used the eco styler, but I used the wet line for this one, and it has been SUCH a win. I may try it again with the eco styler and see if there will be a difference.

Right, you should not comb curly hair. At the most finger detangle it AFTER you have wet it. Hope this helps!

Could you do with cream and a Denman brush.? Also try with eco versus extreme gel.
I think I’ll definitely try this combo again, but maybe with the eco styler this time. Do you mean just a cream and Denmark brush? That would absolutely not work for my hair 😭

I so badly want to try this! But I fear the shrinkage knowing full well that my hair is not as long as yours *tears* what other gels can we use please .. that wont be as crunchy as eco styler??
To be honest, I think this method of using the curl activator underneath really goes a long way to making it soft (with hold still). I'm on day 4 hair and my hair is still SUPER SOFT and defined. I'd say try the Eco styler with this underneath.
