For future playthroughs, you can craft a sandstorm in a bottle with a cloud in a bottle and a forbidden fragment. Same with the blizzard using the frost core. Makes the bundle of balloons a lot easier to get.
Fun fact: during the transition to hardmode, the corruption and Hallow will form a V on the map, if you already knew where the new corruption was, then you can easily find out where the hallow is :) knowing this also helps a bunch for containing it before it even spawns edit: god fucking damnit it it just showed in the video
I used the lilith necklace from early hard mode up to golem as a summoner. I ended up using the ufo instead of the wolf pet so i could swap out all of my mobility accessories like boots wings and my triple jump for dps boostibg accessories to maximize the damage of the terrprisma. The wolf pet served me very well cheesing duke fishron taking down mechs and being way too fast for plantera. Anyways can't wait for part 2
If you’re looking for some more vanilla challenges I suggest what I call Elemental Playthroughs. You can only use gear (Armor, Weapons, Accessories) that is related to whatever element you pick, like fire, water, or plant.
I'm glad to see someone else do this, i did this challenge months ago, but i let myself use armour. it's probably the challenge i had the most fun with.
Wolves, and indeed, canines in general are my favorite animals - so this challenge makes me very happy because there is a certified good boi on screen at all times.
If a person doesn’t love dogs, it’s been my experience that there is no need to get to know them any further. Obviously there are exceptions, but I’ve personally never known a dog person that was not at the very least a decent human being. Cat people are more of a crap shoot though. 😁
You conveniently had the clinger staff so going for the tome of infinite wisdom was definitely a viable option. That weapon would have made both the destroyer and twins fight a total breeze.

you should do a few runs using the Terraria mod "Mr.Plague's Authentic Races" it basically adds different races that you can choose from in the character creation menu. There are also like some extensions to this mod like the crystal dragon races. Each race gives like some buffs with minor debuffs like "-10% health +25% mining speed" with like a tag along description of unique skills. Also like i'm loving this small creator sort of vibe you got over here.
Yeah I might check that out sometime but I'm more of a fan of the vanilla game. The thing with mods is that they often don't have the same balance that I enjoy in vanilla terraria.
I was playing Terraria with my brother, and we had the idea that you could beat Terraria as a wolf, I looked it up and here I am. I am excited to watch this :D
Not having wings is avsolutly not a nerf to mobility. 4 jumps (bundle and horseshoe baloon of any kind) gives imo better mobility than any early hm wings. Combine with the wolfs extra mobility and maybe featherfall potions and you'll actually have godly mobility

The liliths necklace was added about a year ago, but a lot of cool items in this game tend to go under the radar, thats why I thought it would be a pretty cool concept for a video.
Funny how stuff turned out. When 1.1 came out, Skele Prime was so feared that for a short time there was a common opinion that to beat it without being a terraria god you need to bring friends. The Prime Saw was the biggest issue as in charging mode it did its best to just stay directly on you and saw you into pieces while the cannon was mostly worthless as its bombs passed through platforms harmlessly. Now the movement power creep made the melee hands much easier to avoid, while the cannon bombs were changed to blow up on platforms, making them an actual threat sometimes. And the same movement power creep made the boss much easier to the point of being considered the easiest mech by some (me included). Not to mention that overall power creep made Classic mode a joke.
I know people say this a lot, but you are underrated, only 1.28k subs for something this quality? You deserve more! So more people see this, I sacrifice thy comment to the algorithm
LMAO, who knew we would do similar challenges, and get screwed by the goblins as well (still no natural spawned goblin army). though im doing a calamity + stars above, and allowed armor. currently half way through the post moonlord content. so far the techs have for mobility issues have been: balloons (as you mentioned) + feather fall potion (this makes my wings), additional 25% buff to speed that somehow affects mounts, and a sword that second ability gives a charge dash to challenge boss dashes (this came latter as i did all bosses but the last one dashless)
fun fact, ehcnanted diamond/netherite armor from minecraft is stronger than any of the terraria armor when it comes to protection because instead of just reducing the amount of damage you receive by a set value it instead reduces it by 96% meaning that it would be possible to tank 5 hits from master mode dungeon guardian with 500 hp cuz the damage would go from 3000 to 120

an interesting change to this challenge might be to limit yourself to only weapons/tools that the wolf could plausibly wield in its mouth. like you obviously can't shoot a bow or a gun with only your mouth, but you could hold a sword and kinda swing it around.

You could just unbind your hook hotkey for the duration of that challenge. This wouldn't fix the bed but would limit the instances when you unmount severely.

Tip for building arenas: use planter boxes instead of platforms. They will ALWAYS build straight.

I beat legendary mode with the wolf. It allows you to replace all your movement accessories with damage/survivability.
