      Truly truly i say to you all Jesus is the only one who can save you from eternal death. If you just put all your trust in Him, you will find eternal life. But, you may be ashamed by the World as He was. But don't worry, because the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, and it's up to you to choose this world or That / Heaven or Hell.
      I say these things for it is written:
      "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, *teaching them* to observe all that I have commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, even to the end of seasonal". Amen."

    I will never get over the fact they removed fireflies because irl frogs can't eat them. It was such a cool idea to add them in the game and then they took them away to make frogs eat slimes instead.

    • @kerbehklobbah5790
      @kerbehklobbah5790 หลายเดือนก่อน +29

      If I had to guess they probably scrapped the idea not because of the environmental reasons, but because they couldn't get them to work how they wanted to. If they made fireflies a biome particle effect like you see in the nether, the frogs wouldn't be able to eat them. If they made them a mob, they'd both clog up the spawn cap and not really look right either.

      @@kerbehklobbah5790 Actually, making them a biome particle would've been perfect, because the quoted reason for their removal was that they were toxic to frogs, so having tons of them all throughout the swamps without filling the mob cab would've been perfect

      @@botondzoltannagy8849 That would be a great idea, however, it would remove all the risk, danger, and complexity of building mob switches, which Mojang probably wouldn't like, so unless they have some sort of system where you can only have so many fireflies spawned in at a time, which would likely make filling larger areas with them difficult on single-player worlds, let alone multi-player worlds and servers. It's a great idea on the surface, and I'm impressed that you came up with it, but it's just got a few major issues that would make properly implementing it very difficult, unfortunately

    Wanna know what pack animal is ALSO commonly used in caravans? _Camels._ They should make tamed Llamas follow the camel when the player is riding it, instead of the annoying lead gimmick. It doubles as making Llamas _actually_ usable, while also giving the Camel more of a purpose outside of an alternate Horse.

I have a big spread out world now, with close to 70 separate bases, and they're all linked via a massive underground tunnel network that allows me to travel from any base to any base without going above ground. What I did too, is I marked every base with a chiselled nether brick, and mark the underground tunnels with red nether brick, two blocks that don't appear naturally, so I can view my world in Unmined with those blocks highlighted to see a visual map of my massive tunnel system and where all my bases are.

    I've honestly used the crossbow a LOT more than a regular bow in recent times so I'm happy to see it mentioned! Something you didn't bring up that I want to mention is how crossbows can be PRELOADED while regular bows can't. It's frankly the primary reason I use crossbows. A regular bow may be fast, but a pre-charged crossbow is INSTANTANEOUS, no delay required. I've found this one feature to be very convenient in certain scenarios.
    Is a regular bow still quicker overall? Yes. Regular bows are still objectively better, don't get me wrong. If you want a more powerful & practical ranged weapon, the bow is the obvious choice. But for me, I'll stick with my trusty ol' crossbow :)

      Diamonds have bigger value than in early days before smithing templates already. Netherite actually greatly INCREASED their value. Also loot chests in the game vary from underwhelming to simply laughable.
      Of course Dimond could get more uses but... 7 diamonds to replicate an COSMETIC item is actually way to costly. It's like pretending diamonds are nearly nothing. Actually even 1 diamond (and 7 pieces of corresponding block) would still be kinda expensive for that, but at least acceptable. While they deserve far better uses than that. Also they should make enchanting table actually viable alternative to trading.
      (But - excluding the fact that netherrite upgrade template in itself was bad idea - in case of netherite upgrade template the 7 diamond cost at least is somewhat understandable)

    • @Magicwaterz

      @@Lyokoheros-KLPXTV The rarer the item, the more valuable it is. That's the principle in economics.
      Low supply, high demand, high value. The more recent locations for potential diamonds gradually decreases its value. You don't also want the recipe to be cheaper too for the risk of making a power creep. Totems of Undying and the current way Mending is obtained are the notable power creeps.

    Imo a feature in Minecraft being “useful” doesnt mean just improving the progression. I dont need any more items that are an armor tier better than diamond, or a new way to cut 5 minutes off the speed run record, but a new feature branching out that progression in unique ways or tools that fulfill a task in a maybe inefficient way but a fun way? That’s what a good addition is to the game. Like grappling hooks, which yeah will be a good exploration mechanic but will always be outclassed by an elytra. But boy would it be fun.

    I think what a lot of people don’t understand about armor trim duplication is that it probably isn’t meant to be the main way you get trims. Exploring and finding trims is most likely the main way your meant to get multiple of a trim, the duplication thing is just there just in case you literally can’t find any more or that trim type anywhere and it serves as a backup. As someone who uses crossbows pretty frequently in Minecraft, even in modded worlds where archery mods still focus primarily on bows for some reason, I'll just say it: Power should be allowed on crossbows as well.
    It doesn't make sense that a crossbow could fire stronger arrows since it has a fixed draw? Multishot exists as a crossbow exclusive enchantment and multi-form techniques your arrows, don't get me started on "realism."
    For being a bow, but made out of more expensive parts, it seems more like an alternative only if you absolutely min-max it (needing a ton of gunpowder, Flame Charges if you want maximum AoE, and paper to make the proper fireworks - and you need to bring a lot of fireworks every time to keep up its advantages) while for bows it's just... slap on Power V and Infinite and you're done. If crossbows did at least comparable damage, then they'd be something. Plus Pillagers and Piglins would be potentially stronger based on enchantment rolls, so there's that.

    My issue with the "useless" features isn't that I'm one of those semi speedrunners who rushes elyta and misses some stuff. It's that a long time ago in a galaxy far far away when a "useless" feature was added to the game it was something like they added a new flower that spices up certain biomes. Now if I want some new flowers I have to deal with my unlucky world generation and spend actual IRL days to find some stupid egg to get an animal that will give me these flowers at a slow rate without building some farm and I don't even really like the look of these flowers I'm just a semi completionist who has to have them.
    Or the froglights. To get the associated achievement I have to go find a frog, get the frogspawn, go to another biome that might be far away to get the special color, bring it to the nether, and make it eat small magma cubes, and then if I want to keep my frogs at home I have to do all that and probably lead them around a long distance. How about we just do things the way we did a long time ago in a galaxy far far away like you want to add froglights? Go to a swamp, have the frogs eat fireflies, then it drops a froglight. Or they want to add the torchflower and pitcher pod? Make them spawn naturally in the mangrove swamp where they already kind of fit in.
    Useless features used to be just a cool thing that you could collect or do because you wanted to. Now every single addition has to have some grindy game mechanic behind it like getting a music disk that I will never listen to from a bastion, what could have been something nice and simple that someone somewhere wanted in the game is now harder to get because we need that game retention or whatever. People wouldn't be as upset over these mob votes if whatever they added, even if it was useless, didn't turn THE PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR IT against it because they didn't realize they were voting for a whole grindfest for something as simple as a different light source block. At the very least the half of the community who voted for it would like it instead of the entire community hating it.

    One thing people forget with crossbows is that they're the only long-range weapon in the game that can be fired immediately after being switched to (well... aside from snow balls technically but you can probably see the downside there). You can charge them and leave them charged in your inventory to switch to mid fight for instant long-range damage. it's a niche but it's a niche only they fill.
    And I mostly agree with llamas but I actually like that you can't control them with a saddle, since it feels unique and ties into their real world historic use more which i just think is cool. I'd rather see mojang fix leads over letting you ride them.

    What I think most of these features lack, and the real gripe most people have with them, is that most of these features aren't intuitive (Frog mechanics), or feel like they should serve a purpose that they simply don't (Crossbows). Mojang's real problem is just that things tend to get added, and rarely changed for years afterwards. So nowadays, Minecraft has a lot of systems, mobs, and other things that, while cool and novel, just leave players confused on why they were added, or why they were added in the state they were added in. Most players who don't want to look up guides will probably never once use a Froglight in their lives. Crossbows feel like they're supposed to be a more powerful and preparable alternative to the Bow, but in practice they just aren't worth the hassle when a Power V bow does everything you want it to. Armor Trims I'll never understand the gripe with. Foxes I think are so close to the depth people want, but are just convoluted and don't make a lot of sense. Then in the realm of other mobs like the Llama, they feel like ambiance for the sake of ambiance, when they could have at least a little bit more to them. Would it really break the gameplay loop to let you sheer Llamas for wool? I think Llamas are so close to being good, but the issues in the video and the fact they can't do things Llamas are known for in the real world is where a lot of frustration comes in, and I think that goes for a lot of these kind of features. Players, not usually unreasonably, expect more depth or function to things like new mobs and items, even if it's niche. It's not really unrealistic to expect a Crossbow to be designed to have a real purpose, or Llamas to be able to produce wool, or for another example that seems to be in the previous video, the Sniffer should be able to at least dig up a unique food item or two. Every ounce of depth to most of these mechanics is Flavorful at best, or downright frustrating at worst, as even reasonable expectations are met with convoluted processes, weird spawn rates, or a slew of niche and mediocre cosmetic items that the average player isn't going to know what to do with.

    The Piercing Enchantment for the crossbow is particularly useful for preserving arrows, since you can't get infinity on it. This also works for tipped and spectral arrows since the shot arrow won't vanish, if you don't max out the number of mobs pierced.
    Additionally Piercing grants you the ability to bypass shields, which actually makes it more viable than the bow in these instances.

    Make this as a series of "Useless" features in the game, since there are a lot of them that most of the community consider it to be useless/niche.
    Also Combat Test Snapshots (CTS) did a change with the Multishot to be functionally be a "Shotgun" as all 3 arrows can damage a single target at point blank.

    I believe the real reason you can’t saddle a llama is so they don’t completely replace mules and donkeys. If you could saddle a llama and give it a chest it would effectively just be a better mule/donkey. By not allowing you to saddle a llama it gives you a choice, so I want more inventory slots with a caravan or do I want more control with a mule/donkey. This also allows you to combine both together for the best of both worlds

    • @isloths
      @isloths  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Yeah I agree I think that's why they don't allow saddles, but I think they should judt have less mobility when being ridden. Like no jump and just regular sprint speed, but would allow caravans to follow. That would be sick in my opinion.

    i have a lot to tell about llamas, because my mum plays minecraft (on peaceful), and she has to deal with wandering traders and their llamas 24/7. it turns out, traders lose their llamas way too often, and whenever that happens, my mum leads the llamas to her llama island. and because of the mechanic of llamas following each other, if she leads a new llama to the existing crew, all of them rush to it, almost as if they're welcoming it hehe. i find this super cute, and llamas tend to follow each other irl, too. and i find it silly how llamas protect the wandering trader, it's just sweet.
    i'd never call llamas useless, they can actually bring lots of fun into the game. overall, in minecraft, it's only up to the limits of your imagination, which features you consider useless or not, and that's why i love this game

It's a shame that you dont get happy finding diamonds when you are with a good gear because you already have all the diamonds you'll need for your whole playthrough, something that doesnt happen if you hate automatic farms like me and enjoy finding iron every single time due to how useful it still is, even if you are already maxxed out
    -crossbows should be able to use impact enchantment just like bows, and be able to use "power" up to LVL 3 too (make lvl 4 and 5 exclusive to bows), so people who prefers crossbows are not in completely disavantsge. I found a beautiful waterfall cove in the Savannah and Jungle that is surrounded by a warm ocean and have two sniffers who I raised from eggs I found in a coral reef who make more eggs I put in my sniffer pot, I have an Allay I rescued from an outpost to help too and genuinely had so much fun I felt like a kid again. • @MustacheOnMars9
      @MustacheOnMars9 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Nah that would be disgustingly overpowered. If you're thinking about upgrading to Netherite you likely don't use diamonds anymore and have a decent stash of them. Keep Nether Upgrade Template's recipes as they are. Duplicating them deserve their high cost, because they're very rare high-value items meant for the absolute end-game. Armour trims however yeah should have their cost reduced to... I dunno 4 diamonds? 3?

    • @isloths
      @isloths  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Definitely overpowered for the netherite upgrade, but for armor trims? They're just decoration so being easy to dupe isn't really a concern, but 1 diamond is a little too easy. I think 4 diamonds would be good.

    • @a-bird-lover
      @a-bird-lover 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      maybe it could depend on the rarity of it? It seems kind of harsh to be asking for so many diamonds for something like the shipwreck template, but for the absolute rarest ones like silence it seems too cheap to be asking for only 3. That way it stays a fairly equal incentive to go and find more or to duplicate, and it better communicates which templates are rare
