I don't know if it got disintegrated or not, let's focus on Deathly Hallows: in the movie version we can clearly see Voldemort's body disintegrating into pieces, but from the book, we know that Voldemort had a mundane fall on the ground. So, going back to the start: was it different in Godric's Hollow? Yes, it could have been different because he had horcruxes by that time... But there's also a possibility of things happening the same way and if so, what happened to it? Was it found by Hagrid when he came to rescue baby Harry?
Didn't Dumbledore turn down the job literally every time it was offered to him because he didn't think he could be trusted with that kind of power?

@@denizkenger52 Yes it could very well be Harry thinking why Dumbledore didn't become minister of magic, because in Harry Potter dead souls can't make contact with the living unless in contact with the resurrection stone, and the scene happened after Harry was killed (though momentarily) in the woods, so it's a 90% chance it was just Harry imagining it

B. Its alright to crave power just don't let it consume u. Remember Avatar Wan in Legend of Korra, he got to b all powerful (thou he didn't know the full scale) and was still pure good. Any fiction in where a powerful person losses their abilities but doesn't let it get them down, great, get their powers back just to feel whole again, not strong...great again on same lvl.

Without Grindewald's influence on his life, he himself could have BECOME Grindelwald. He was able to look at Grindelwald's ideals and actions from the outside and see how twisted Grindelwald was becoming. If he had continued his journey alone toward the Deathly Hallows, his journey toward power and "protecting" muggles by controlling them, he wouldn't have had that outside perspective to see how dangerous those ideals and actions were. He nearly fell into that spiral anyway, until the death of Arianna.
I think he genuinely preferred being a teacher of children instead of a leader of men.

Acting from the position of Hogwarts headmaster gave him much more flexibility. As minister, he would often be bound by unwanted regulations. Besides, he would be in the spotlight, his every decision would be judged. As headmaster,, he could do many things secretly and more effectively than as a minister.

Well they ought to have known that witches didn't burn due to freezing spells. As for muggles who were wrongly accused of being witches and couldn't defend themselves. I don't know if they cared about muggles killing muggles. They didn't even have any role in World Wars. So, they probably don't care about muggles burning muggles.

What always bothered me about the movie The Order of the Phoenix was the battle between Dumbledore and Voldemort. It looks like Dumbledore is....not struggling, but in the book he's completely calm during the whole duel until Voldemort tried to posses Harry

I rewatched Goblet of Fire recently and I have suggestions for some "what ifs" that I don't think anyone else has ever covered in-depth in video format: What if Harry's name was not placed into the Goblet of Fire? What if Harry didn't compete in the Triwizard Tournament? (Like if Dumbledore agreed with McGonagall and stopped Harry from competing) What if the real Mad-Eye Moody taught DADA in the Goblet of Fire? What if "X"'s (The "x" standing for anyone's name, like Ron or Hermione) name was placed into the Goblet of Fire instead of Harry? (This last one doesn't have to do with Goblet of Fire in particularly) And what if Filch was a wizard? Even though these are slight changes, especially comparing the first and second questions to each other, I feel like a lot could potentially change! Hope you read this and that you have a great day!

I would say that Dumbledore has ability to influence the future generations by being a headmaster of one of the most prestigious schools is the ultimate power so the idea that he didn't trust us with power as an excuse to stay away from minister of magic is a big pile of dragon dung
I think he had more and unfettered power as headmaster at Hogwarts. As Minister Of Magic - I would think there's be less because of the bs bureaucracy.

He knew how much power he could willed and how he could fall into previous habits that had wound up costing him so much and that quite frankly scared him so he preferred a position that would allow him to keep himself in check while still providing influence and advice to both young minds as well as those in the ministry

I believe Dumbledore was some what anarchist, he didn't want anyone to control freedom but he also wanted what was good for the world. Dumbledore was like a supreme Auror, hunting down the evil from behind the scenes, using his job as a cover up. He knew the ministry was weak and corrupted it is kinda like today. The problem is as always, that you can't hold power in the real world unless you make people believe in you.
Therefore politician lie to gain that kind of power and influence, and so do those the politicians need in order to get their own influence, like the medical industry.

What? Are u saying harry tries to stop Grindelwald. He’d get destroyed. Harry was an average wizard, the only reason he won was because of Lily’s protection, Voldemort taking his blood and the elder wand confusion due to Snape killing Dumbledore but draco disarming him.
@@denizkenger52 that’s true but since he’s just an average wizard I think there’s a chance he would train with the order of the Phoenix since I feel like Dumbledore would still create them since he can’t fight Grindelwald because he’d still have the blood pact and newts pet wouldn’t be able to steal it this time. Plus Grindelwald does have a motivation to go after Harry since he has one of the deathly hallows

I think Dumbledor's biggest fear was thay he'd become what he and Grindlewald set out to be so many decades earlyer. Top it off with the fact that he effectivly possessed two of The Deathly Hallows (having had The Cloak as well before passing it to Harry) and I wouldnt have put it past him, after succuming to his vices, to use the Ministry to find The Stone as well. With The Ministry at his back, and The Three Hallows in his possessio, a darker Dumbledor could have put even Voldemort to shame had he fallen to The Dark Path.

@@NEXUS_VSTGN You're closer than you might think. Apparently the word "Mugwump" is an actual word. And he was Supreme Mugwump. So if you were to compare that title to the actual word's meaning then his responces to politics make much more sense.
I think his greatest fear was finding out that his spell was the one that killed ariana.

I also think, that after what happend with Tom Riddle, he understood, that he can be so much more helpfull to the community of whiches and wizards by taking influence to the students in Hogwarts to avoid rising up another witch or wizard with the same plans and purposes like Voldemort.

It makes sense that Dumbledore would turn down the opportunity to become Minister of Magic. With that much power, he can't trust himself with it. Sure, he is a great man, but he still has a troubled past. Plus, when Voldemort comes into power, Dumbledore can't look for any Horcruxes since he has to keep the Ministry of Magic from falling apart.

Fudge should have been arrested for endangering the Wizarding World by not doing anything after Harry Potter told him Voldemort had come returned at the end of book 4. Instead, he slanders the boy and Dumbledore through the media.
Dumbledore knew his limits and took precautions to not go down that dark path again. I see this as a strength for him. Takes a strong will to turn down the position for that reason.

Albus Dumbledore was extremely powerful, both politically (more-so than the head of any government could ever be) and magically. The bastard took over the three positions that would someone the powerful person in Europe, and he abused it a lot. Edit: As Headmaster Of Hogwarts, he had the ability to influence everyone that could attend Hogwarts, which he did. As Chief Warlock, he had the ability to influence the decisions and laws of his country. As Supreme Mugwump, he could do the same, but for the whole world. He couldn’t have decided to take up the position because of absolute control because that’s exactly what he had with those positions. (Unlike the MOM who actively gives up control.) Edit 2: You say that he was trying to avoid power, but Voldemort tried to get that same position because of the power it offered, he wasn’t trying for DADA professor for fun. He was trying to get power and influence from being the Headmaster. Edit 3: It should be no secret that Albus Dumbledore was a fucking mad man. He actively tried to kill Harry. He likely put Voldemort into the life that he led for influence. He hired Argus Filch into a position that tortured him for the sake of fame and a game. He ignored the fact that Scabbers was obviously an animagus. In short, he was crazy and always power-hungry. Edit 4: He fought against Voldemort?! He actively decided to make a 1 year old boy a martyr for his game. Edit 5: “Can you imagine if Dumbledore wanted to create his own army to preserve the magical sector?” Well, I definitely can’t, because his actions indicate that, in all probability, he wanted to destroy it. Ariana's death likely made him think that Magic was responsible for his actions, and so he believed it was the root of evil. Edit 6: Since you decided to state that logical fallacy again, it’s only fair for me to state the truth again. If he didn’t trust trust himself with power, he wouldn’t even be Hogwarts' Headmaster. We've seen him with more power than possibly even the headmaster/headmistress of Ilvermony who is the most powerful person in the Wizard's North America. He definitely embraced his power-hungry tendencies but lied constantly, making people believe that he wasn’t the most powerful person on at least his continent.

I was wondering, what if someone made the unbreakable vow with someone else, and the person who the vow was made to died, if you see this, please answer it.
Unbreakable vow isnt always like that though. The vow would have to be “i will not let him/her die”
First of all, I don’t think anyone would be stupid enough to make a vow like this considering death is something that is extremely hard to prevent, only with extremely advanced examples of magic can it be succeeded.
I guess though, if the person died and the vow specifically said what i said above, then the person making the vow would probably die since they wouldn’t have prevented the death of someone they had promised to keep away from death.
Btw this example isnt the same with draco and snape. So if draco died with snape still doing everything he can to protect him to the best of his abilities, then he wouldn’t die. Protection to the best if his ability was the vow he made, not that draco was never gonna die.
Thanks for the info, but what I meant was that Narcissa made the vow with Snape, but what if She’d died during the time that Snape was completing the vow, would he have not been obligated to do it anymore?
@@booklover_222 hmm im guessing since its basically a magical contract between the two, it would be inactive if one of them died because its a promise between the two of them and idk if dying will break the magical formed between the two. It would make sense that the magic formed between the two would no longer be active as she will be dead and that connection wouldnt be there anymore, however, considering contracts can go on after death, it is possible he might still have to do whatever he vowed as the contract isn’t over.
A similar example is the fidelius charm, which is also like a magical contract, doesnt break when the secret keeper dies, considering the trio still used it after the original secret keeper died, therefore im guessing certain contracts are permanent unless you destroy them with magic. For example, the fidelius charm was destroyed after Voldemort attacked and that’s probably due to the avada kedavra backfiring and blasting most of the house, and similar to how all those protective spells were able to be penetrated by Voldemort when he attacked hogwarts. So maybe the vow can be removed by powerful magic but im not sure if it would be over by one of them dying, considering this isn’t the case for the fidelius charm, which is similar as its also like a magical contract.

I think they do go to some non magic school in early ages until they get hogwarts letter. Because until then even their parents don't know they are wizards or witches and there is some wizarding school.

Well I believe that with the 3 positions that he did have gave him much more power and influence over others than he would have had as minister. He shouldn't have been able to hold the 3 positions at the same time. And because he did he wasn't able to dedicate enough of his attention to any of them and so I believe that the wizarding world did suffer as a result of this.

On the flat side, not everyone likes politics, and fits in perfectly to it. Also I think, that the social elitism people in the ministry, would quit work if he is in charge, like Lucius Malfoy, and anyone else who believed in blood purity. One thing, that would come out good if he was the minister, is that there would have been massive prosecution against Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Which is also a bad thing, because I think he would focus most of his time on it.

You have graded exams, online professors and gain access to the hogwarts library where there are countless textbpoks for you to help you study. Im in my first year studying charms and DADA, I’ll be starting herbology, history of magic, potions and astronomy later on in the year.
