My biggest beef with these movies is in the armour dance scene where they sing the line "they got us outnumbered one to fifty!". No. No they do not. There are 15 of them. We can count. They hardly outnumber you one to two.

Lmao descendants didn’t ‘kill ever after high” that show just died on its own I never really found it interesting and neither did my younger cousins did every time I played it for them on tv they would simply ignore it and they never do that when I put on the tv for them
@@honeyheartcrushhh6102 actually it would still be on had it not been for Disney making descendants. EAH would have gotten into copyright issues blah blah blah. Leave your personal hatred for it alone and just accept the facts please. Whether you like descendants or EAH more, it’s still Disney’s fault.
I agree. Ever after high managed to be good (for a kids show) i think it had a good storyline, characters that managed to have meaning, amazing designs, animation that had effort put into it, and it was entirely an ad for dolls.
honestly its kinda camp. i cant hate it, they tried *edit : it was like 2014 so really it couldve been so much worse. also uma and harry carried the wardrobe*
Bro, did we even see snow whites kid or am I forgetting things? Like, we saw Doug and Evie but not Snow’s kid? And yeah, who decided Belle and Beast were the rulers? It stinks of bad writing.
Ever since the first movie came out, I always wondered: So the good guys sent the villains to the Isle of the lost, right? Did they also just decide to send any other human being that isn't royalty as well? Like there are just random innocent people and children stuck on that island- why?
The henchmen I think. The henchmen and their kids and such are probably the random people?? Idk honestly someone could have been brainwashed and committed it all unwillingly and still be bottled to the Isle and I wouldn't be surprised, the system sucks
Maybe it’s also a penal colony, similar to Australia. All those random background extras are minor criminals that were never elevated to the rank of “villain”
Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Mal literally drugged Ben? Ik he was already freed of the spell but it really irks me that no repercussions were made against Mal, like she literally did a crime. I wish Ben had a milligram of backbone in his body and actually felt like, idk, uncomfortable??
I know! God, it was so disturbing and he was completely okay with being drugged because he thought she liked him? Like, if he knew, after they went on a date, would he, y'know be suspicious of it? And wasn't he already dating Audrey? Like, their relationship was so toxic though.
@@ophilliosa3448 THIS. i physically recoil every time there's a "magic potion" plot in a romance movie. the connection to date rape drugs is so easy to make that im baffled it's a trope that's still around.
@Jóie Joestar There's this descendants wattpad fanfic I read before called "Were you expecting flowers?" and its honestly way better than the descendants movie in terms of writing. Mal doesn't drug Ben, instead, they actually fall in love naturally, and they don't completely villainise Audrey. It does however focus on heavier themes like child abuse, mental abuse etc. But it's realllllly good.
My issues w/ descendants - constantly villianized uma even though a lot of her points made sense and she actually cared about the isle kids -evie’s entire character arc subverted by “one kiss” where instead of finding value in who she is she is hinging her worth on validation based on a kiss - After Cam’s death, saying they’d honor him while proceeding to *continually* capitalize off of Descendants through the royal wedding shorts and animated shorts :/ if anyone has any more feel free to add
Mal literally drugging Ben in the first movie and then having a 'romantic relationship' with him. Totally normal and okay. Especially in a kid's movie. I watched all three of the movies with my sister, and anytime they would show Mal and Ben together a part of me would just die inside. It never felt genuine, nor did it feel passionate. Them dating just felt...bizarre. Bizarre and very, very odd. At the end of the third movie where Ben proposes to Mal almost made me scream out loud, like, "NO, THIS IS NOT A GOOD PERSON TO MARRY!" Uma never really liked Ben and manipulated him *using magic* to tease Mal at the cruise party (It's been awhile since I've watched the movies, but I remember most of their plots because of how bad it was), yet Uma was called out for such behavior. Why, why wasn't Mal? Seriously?!?! (Glad Uma was caught, but why not Mal, too?) Also, you're 100% correct, I never liked how Uma's main motive was villainized when she was concerned about the other Isle kids' educations and qualities of life. It felt like a slap in the face when Mal basically said, "You know, I'll let other kids attend the school, *BUT* only after the fact it was brought up by the antagonist of the movie, to make me look good in front of everybody." But then she only let a select amount of kids do so. If Mal opened up her policy to the other children in the Isle, it would've made me respect her a lot better in the second movie because it would've seemed like she realized her mistakes and the fact that she was wrong, and that additionally, she really did care about her people, remembering where she came from and how hard life was. Yeah, I don't agree with how Uma acted to achieve her goals but trying to steal the wand and tying up Ben, but she was right. Like Syndrome in 'Incredibles'. He acted terribly to prove his point (trying to exterminate all superheroes), but he was ultimately right. You don't need superpowers to be a superhero. On another note regarding Mal's arc in the second movie, wasn't the whole point of her character arc in 'Descendant's 2' is that she didn't really care about what people thought about her, hence why she ran away from her kingdom in the first place? Not gonna lie, that does not sound like a good ruler/advisor/user of Ben to make political decisions. And didn't think about the fact that being with Ben, a royal family member, would traditionally expect her to act the same way as the royal family if she was considered to be a part of it? There's a lot of stress involved with royal and political offices, even if you're only a partner or relative of a politician or royal. Basically, Mal's character herself. Not the actress; I'm not the idiot who hates the actor/actress for playing a terrible character I don't like. But Mal is a horrendous protagonist and role model for young children, anybody really. Ironically, however, she's the most advertised character besides Evie in merchandise. P.S. I, too, despise Disney for Cameron Boyce's death and how they just continue to monetize off him and his work. They should just leave the series in peace to respect the actor, especially since he played one of the main characters, Carlos. And I loathe how Audrey's character was handled, but I believe that is a comment for another time. Thank you for coming to my TedTalk, and I apologize for the rant.
@@annieleonhart365 Beautiful, Absolutely Beautiful. And if you don’t mind i would love to hear your thoughts on Audrey because i believe what disney did to her was absolutely not fair at all
I agree with the Uma thing. She did the same exact thing Mal did in the first movie and Uma actually had a good reason, which was to free the kids of the Isle. And I was annoyed when Mal said she "had" to be queen of Auradon and The Isle, like being the queen of Auradon isn't enough. Uma should've been the queen of the Isle.
And I feel like the movies center too much around Mal. It's called Descendants so Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay should have an equal role. It might as well be called The Mal Movie ft. Evie and a little bit of Carlos
@@musikyleproductions2488 exactly, EAH has some major plot hole (especially in the animated version) but wow compare to Descendent it looks like perfection

Fun fact: There was this 90s alt rock hit, "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks, and that was written by the same lady who wrote "Rotten To The Core" (among some other songs for people like Brandy and Christina Aguilera).
To me it was always Ever After High but worse, but that’s totally because I had a massive crush on Raven Queen in Ever After. Okay, but maybe I still do.

I was at a sleep over/birthday party one year and her mom put on some movies for us. The movies were Descendants 2 and the Strawberry Shortcake Movie, on loop. Not many people can say they watched Descendants 2 four times in a row, and I’m glad about that.
If only... this franchise was good. Like, a Disney Animated Canon next gen fic? Why not? But then they had to DCOM it and literally none of the decisions they made made sense. Everyone has a child, except for 70% of the Disney Princesses. It's modern day to be more ReLaTaBle to the Disney Channel audience. Cruella de Vil and Doctor Facilier, two characters living in the 1920's, are SOMEHOW in the same timeline as any of the fairy tale characters. Also, I just learned that Mal's last name is "Bertha". At least it's not "Efficient", because the series is already enough of an Ever After High rip-off as it is.
yeah, i feel like the descendants franchise COULDVE been good but they just decided not to. but i would like another one so jay&gil and evie&mal can be together officially.
>Seems really contrived that all the fairytale villains had kids the same age who then hung out together in the same school Then again, -Several of the heads of state of major European powers in WWI (e.g. Germany, UK, Russia) were *cousins* because they were all related through Queen Victoria -Before they rose to power, Hitler, Stalin, Lenin, and Trotsky apparently were all regulars at the same cafe
Descendants, in my humble opinion was a 'pretty okay' movie, like the 'I'll watch it if I don't have anything better to do' Type of movie. The story telling wasn't that great but the songs were good (some of wich I liked more than the others) but my biggest problem is how they handled the characters themselves and pretty much failed at doing it. Like for example, the auradon kids. You would think, for Disney's most iconic characters (Though most of them weren't original characters per say) woman that were supposed to teach children how to show compassion, hard work and being kind to others, would raise spoiled, egotistical, and kind of the total opposite of their parents? Like Chad charming, the supposed son of cinderella and Prince charming, hard working, kind, and humble. Chad is absolutely nothing like them. Or y'know, like Lonnie, she was fine, but I find it odd that she wanted to be 'cool' like mal and evie when her mother quite literally saved China, and worked her ass of to become a badass warrior woman. Like why would you feel the need to be cool when you have a badass mother and father who were heroes that served for their country? You're already badass dammit. And how they villainised Audrey, like, she was completely in the right to feel upset about mal and ben, while yes, she was spoiled, but atleast y'know she didn't drug Ben. Like **cough** mal **cough** like seriously, I know we're supposed to root for her, but it was so disturbing watching mal drug Ben, Ben being completely okay with it for some reason (wich is absolutely toxic) and for some reason, they still get to together in the end? I know there were moments were Ben looked at mal alot, but it's just... He was already dating Audrey? I mean, I dont need to tell you crushing on another girl while you're dating someone who's you're GIRLFRIEND is wrong. Like everything about their relationship is wrong, and THIS is the couple we're supposed to root for? Evie and Doug would've been better, or like, uma and Harry. And also uma, like, why did they have to do her dirty? I remember the whole point Ben wanted the vk's to come to auradon was because he wanted to give the vk's a chance to have a normal life, and I know the 2nd movie addressed this too, and Ben feel bad, but why hasn't mal? She's been on the Isle, she KNOWS what happens there, there are kids who just want to be able to live a normal life too, like Mr. Smee's kids, or drizella's kid or any other younger kid in the isle and yet she's never bothered to help them until the 3RD MOVIE. And remember that uma was the one who told Ben that there are kids in the Isle that need help too, and she actually CARES. Unlike mal, who I repeat "I haven't given you a thought since I left" has she never thought of the other kids that were suffering? I mean I know she never wanted the royal life but there people who DO. And again, it was never addressed until like, the third movie, were she did that whole ass musical number while her friends were turned to stone, and she had the nerve with calling herself the 'Queen of the Isle' like?? No? You shouldn't be, if anything uma should be the Queen. Like there aren't enough words to explain how problematic this movie was. Thanks for listening to my rant, if you read all of this until the end you get a cookie 🍪 and don't worry, it doesn't have a love potion it in, unlike, y'know.
Descendants is a decent franchise and despite the fact that the movies could have been better, we must admit that the 3 are not bad and are entertaining to watch
I didn't realize until now that Uma pulled the same crap as Mal did to Ben in Descendants 1...and we're supposed to feel sorry for Mal??? When we weren't supposed too for Audrey? Like Mal really snatched her life plan away and everyone glanced away because she's the main character and "learned her lesson." I'm still mad about the Audrey thing, nevermind them stealing away Ever After High's hype
No because Audrey was a terrible gf and selfish and didn't love Ben, just wanted to be queen. And Mal was feeling unsure, unworthy, out of place, etc and they BEG her to come back to Auradon when she really doesn't want to just for her bf to be with her childhood nemesis and parading her in front of everybody. I did cry at that part the first time I watched it
@@melodi2036 either way no one deserves that... Audrey worked HARD for that spot as queen, and Audrey and Mal are almost the same, Audrey seemed to only want to be queen because her grandmother was pressuring her into it. (maybe even her mom but we never actually see that) Mal only wanted to be queen because her mom also pressured her into it, the only difference is Audrey actually worked really hard all the way from childhood, just to be wrongfully cheated on by her boyfriend, PLUS the person who he cheated with was the daughter of the person who tried to kill her mother, thats a huge sting, AND they literally had just met, everything was taken away from her in literally 2 weeks
I don't even like the movies that much, Kristin Chenoweth maleficent, What's My Name, and the way it's impossible to believe that mal and evie are straight are the only reasons I would still watch the movies willingly.
This was based off a book series. A book series. A BOOK SERIES. A book series that is very blatant about "forgive your abusive af parent, they're your biological parent oh and piss on those horrible people who left those parents they're ungrateful princesses who fled their abuse" and it makes me want to die inside. It's written like the most edgy of fanfictions and the movie series is even worse. We did not survive abuse for this schlock to be fed to the next generation. It's beyond trash.
anyone else when they saw Audrey's new hair think it looked like a 3 year old drew in her hair? it just really clashes with her outfits and makes her look washed out. Also very disapointed in mal's wedding dress, it looks soooo much like what one would find in a kid's flash game in one of those dress up game sites compared to a wedding gown, or the very least a regular ball gown one would find at a ball.. nothing in her outfit screams wedding except maybe her veil
I hope you’re talking about her hair in the beginning because thank god someone finally said it. It’s like a washed out My little pony’s tail and barely styled at all. It’s also up in the top most unrealistic wig ever, her head looks huge with them on
I think because they graduated high school they were about 18, so they legally were adults. They graduated before Descendants 3, it was mentioned in the 4th Descendants novel by Melissa de La Cruz

Helpful tip for people who want to watch Twilight: mute it and take away the captions, and then voice act whatever you think they’d be saying. It makes it funnier without the use of drugs.
i remember when each movie came out, my grandma and i would sit on the couch and watch them all repeatedly. i remember how she could never remember any of the character's names except for mal. i especially remember when she bought the first movie's soundtrack, and we sang all the songs for hours. she passed away a little over a month ago. it's been really hard, but ive been going back and rewatching everything we used to watch together. i love this franchise to the bottom of my heart. it has its flaws and there are a few things i didn't like abt it (like how mal and evie didn't end up together) but it's still one of my favorite movie franchises. such a wonderful team made such great movies. but what's most important are the memories i got from these movies. i will be forever thankful
Audrey did nothing wrong, she was abandoned by her parents, abused by her grandma, then had her 'friends' revealed to be fake and only care about status, then everyone worships Mal even though she did horrible things but got away with it. No wonder she had a mental breakdown, my only issue is she didn't go far enough and they tried to remove her agency by saying the staff made her do it. I would've preferred she got resurrected and immediately tried to strangle Mal, proving it wasn't the staff but all her hate for Mal, due to her ruining her life, that made Audrey do everything. At least that way we can have some consequences, instead of everything being for nothing.
All the characters at least got better in some way while Mal just kept getting worse and worse, a constant mantra with my mom and me when watching the movies was ‘goddammit mal’ or ‘god mal stop making dumb decisions, be honest to your friends for once!’
Mal is the reason Audrey turned evil. Mal drugged her boyfriend, then stole him, humiliated her in front of the entire school, basically took everything that was important to Audrey. And on top of that, her grandma made her feel worse.
I'm glad someone mentioned Faybel, honestly, as evil as she was (according to her storyline that she's supposed to follow), she had her own little thing going on 😔
I didn't know that I needed this video until I saw it. Aurodon is definitely a fascist society, and the 'good guys' are actually kinda morally and politically the bad guys.
The outfits are all atrocious idfc, Mal needs to learn how to actually style clothes to match that hair instead of just throwing on the closest purple thing she sees. However, Evie’s looks slay EVERY 👏 SINGLE 👏 TIME 👏 I cannot stress this enough, her outfits are all so good
Ever after high was better! Raven has more character development than any Descendants character. Also Apple white was pissed at Raven for not signing that book! Felt implied Apple white becoming a villain! But it was cancelled for descendants sht!

5:00 Okay, something must be wrong with my sense of humor, because the way TJ said "Octopus" had me cackling for a good three minutes. What the hay is wrong with me?
About Uma possesing people: Its actually an ability she has in the original books off of which the movies werw inspired from. There are four of them, and the “short story” is suposed be the extremely cheap and shitty version of an important scene in the third book, the one where Uma is introduced. She uses Dizzy, Harry and Gil’s bodies to lure Mal to the docks. I dont remember if their angry conversarion hapens underwater, but I do know there was no singing. But it actually makes more sense in the book for her to be able to posses people with the neckalce because there’s an entire arc and plotline surrounding Uma trying to use her mother’s necklace and it’s powers through the barrier. In the movie, we barely know anything about the necklace, and it’s not even introduced to us as a plot point of any importance. In the books Uma uses the magic of the necklace through the barrier because she went on a long-ass quest to find a hole in the barrier and a trident or something. Throught most of the book there’s a little bit of magic that seeps under the isle and lets magic be used in small portions. We don’t get any of the cool Isle lore in the movies. Just romance drama and a bunch of useless singing. Also, it wasn’t a dream, that’s just how Mal remembers it, and the other VKs also help out (I’m so tired of The Mal Show). Not saying the books are perfect, but at least we know WHY shit happens sometimes. Thank you for reading my excessively long essay about the descendants franchise, sincerely, an ex-superfan with way too much to say.

@@mariocastillo2461 I agree, but Descendants is something special because, in theory It's in the same universe as over 60 years worth of animated movies, and, somehow, contradicts all of them at the same time. It's hard to suspend disbelief about characters from XIV century b.c. up to XX century are alive, at the same time, in a world with internet. And it gets worse with Mal being the only character that we saw using magic without some magical atifact, and she looks more like Madam Mim's daughter than Malificent's and/or Hade's. But, at the end of the day, yes, the movies are very entertaining, but very bad at the same time
Fun fact! One of the many reasons Descendants was made..was because mattel stopped making disney themed princess because what where they focusing on? Ever after high! Disney got upset and basically took Ever after High and turned and twisted it into their own story but with less plot...I mean..Look at the difference of characters personality between the two shows..especially raven and evie, prince charming's sons, and most importantly Sleeping beauty's daughter..the change of personality between these are HUGE! Raven the daughter of the evil queen is the main character while Evie is just a side piece to mal's adventures with a little bit of her own story shown..Prince charming's sons where more likeable in royal high because they where more interesting and had more personality and wasn't an ass towards others..the twins where so nice in royal high and i even had a crush on the twin with the glasses that was friends with Raven! And then we have Sleeping beuaty's character..Audrey is a complete Karen despite the Daughter in Ever after high is all about having fun, partying, being with friends, she literally is friends with raven and has no problem with the rebel kids. Another thing i want to point out..did you guys remeber Zombies? By disney? Notice how that's about Monsters and humans being in a school together..the second movie just came out and features vampires and werewolves..are they now trying to rip off of monster high? I mean Monster high said they would do a reboot last year and with the live action movie out...the second installment of Zombies movie to come out just a bit after the live action even though it was announced after monster high was going to do a live action verison of the well known show and movies..The fact that disney has the balls to use this as a tatic against Mattel..is disturbing..I mean Everafter high and Monster high will forever be titans..and because Disney is using both of these by taking the ideas..and using them for their own gain..like they are controlling mattel into just worrying about barbie and their disney princess dolls line..it's like Disney has started to become shady...

The thing that bothered me most is the fact that Ben was in a relationship for probably a long time but then some villain girl shows up and DRUGS HIM just to USE HIM yet he still loves her.
2:31 - Reminds me of one of those gacha memes where at the end they have the character “remember what happened” by replaying the whole meme sped up with a black and white filter. 💀
I absolutely hate the premise of Descendants or the fact they went with it. You’ll make more Disney villains and princes and princesses, you’ll be making more characters, more decisions in the Disney universe. So in order to have this movie make sense with the timeline you’d have to stop producing Disney in general, and this would be the only films left for the company to produce. Not only that but the Disney company is huge. And they’re only going with “one”(?) universe. But if you know Disney princess law at Disney world/land then you’d know that every dimension is different. Every Disney princess lives in a different world. Pocahontas in a cloned version of our world in 1540, Ariel a world similar to ours with more ocean expansion and proven Greek mythology, etc. But they’re mixing all the royals together which doesn’t make sense and breaks their own rules. Not only that but in Wreck it Ralph you see all of them together because of the Disney app. Here should theoretically have either one Disney universe, or all of them. But it has none. Just “Royal universe”. I hate this.
The first wedding was my gay awakening and I will NOT explain nor provide any context as to why because I am still horrified and cringe into my soul whenever I think about it

The best film in this god awful trilogy is probably the 3rd one. But just because it’s the best doesn’t mean it’s good. Unlike the other 2 films, they had actually tried to make a good film, but failed miserably.

The henchmen I think. The henchmen and their kids and such are probably the random people?? Idk honestly someone could have been brainwashed and committed it all unwillingly and still be bottled to the Isle and I wouldn't be surprised, the system sucks

Are we just gonna ignore the fact that Mal literally drugged Ben? Ik he was already freed of the spell but it really irks me that no repercussions were made against Mal, like she literally did a crime. I wish Ben had a milligram of backbone in his body and actually felt like, idk, uncomfortable??
it was weird...
- constantly villianized uma even though a lot of her points made sense and she actually cared about the isle kids
-evie’s entire character arc subverted by “one kiss” where instead of finding value in who she is she is hinging her worth on validation based on a kiss
- After Cam’s death, saying they’d honor him while proceeding to *continually* capitalize off of Descendants through the royal wedding shorts and animated shorts
:/ if anyone has any more feel free to add
(Glad Uma was caught, but why not Mal, too?)
Also, you're 100% correct, I never liked how Uma's main motive was villainized when she was concerned about the other Isle kids' educations and qualities of life.
And if you don’t mind i would love to hear your thoughts on Audrey because i believe what disney did to her was absolutely not fair at all
Disney didn’t make descendants the royal wedding and it’s quite obvious
I agree with the Uma thing. She did the same exact thing Mal did in the first movie and Uma actually had a good reason, which was to free the kids of the Isle. And I was annoyed when Mal said she "had" to be queen of Auradon and The Isle, like being the queen of Auradon isn't enough. Uma should've been the queen of the Isle.
And I feel like the movies center too much around Mal. It's called Descendants so Mal, Evie, Carlos, and Jay should have an equal role. It might as well be called The Mal Movie ft. Evie and a little bit of Carlos
And are we gonna gloss over the fact that Mal is a Demigod

I appreciate your hard work in typing this, thanks for the cookie

People always be saying that Audrey was the villain when in reality, Mal is the real evil all along. Come *AT* me, Mal stans.
neither of them are good, only hero here is Ben, who probably has Stockholm syndrome as he decided to marry the chick who basically date raped him
fr, mal lied to her friends
Mal can never live up to anything Raven Queen or Faybel has ever touched

@@melancholyghost18 I love that book series, and I can't wait for the move come out l.
I agree. The characters in Ever after high had visible character development.
Young me absolutely adored their outfits, and honestly if they were a little less,, everything, I would still love them
The outfits in Descendants were so Union χ in their vibe it's the closest we got to Kingdom Hearts media

Okay, something must be wrong with my sense of humor, because the way TJ said "Octopus" had me cackling for a good three minutes.
What the hay is wrong with me?
I think it was ai because it sounded too goofy
Thank you for reading my excessively long essay about the descendants franchise, sincerely, an ex-superfan with way too much to say.
i remember the days when i blasted rotter to the core for a whole week and tried to learn the dances
Lmao same. when i was 7 I remember putting on Descendants 2 (or 1) and acting it out as Mal. I would put on my Mal costume and a purple wig, I also would do my makeup 😭 I knew line by line and was able to do every dance. I miss those days.
You just made rember when I attempted to sing"It's going down" for a school talent show with a friend back in elementary school. One of the cringyist things I've ever done.
Okay, I agree on the speaking dog. And the hair. And the "not so straight" thing. And the not so rotten thing. But I still love the movies anyway and I also agree that they are at least part of Camerons Legacy, together with all the other stuff he did ♥
I’m a 19 year old grown ass woman and I could not figure out how Audrey went from being the villain in the third film to planning the wedding of the two people she tried to screw over big time. Magic of Disney I guess
i absolutely love the descendance movies because i don’t take them seriously, so what if there’s inconsistencies, the costumes look like someone robbed a spirit halloween and thought “lets make a movie about this”, and the effects weren’t great, it’s an interesting story and i get serotonin from watching them
I used to love this movies but now beeing 18 i see how questionable they were ... still i'll give them 5 stars cause why not
Beeing? BEEING? EXCUSE ME-

Carlos will always have a part in all our hearts
These movies are one big fever dream and no one can convince me otherwise
Ben deserved better than Mal
I would gladly be the “better” you speak of
And vice versa

She literally drugged him he deffo does 😭😭
he deserved a better crown 😭

the thing i hate most is how they forced jane and carlos's relationship.
also how disney disregarded how dove, booboo, and sofia all said they didn't want to do any more descendants projects post-cameron's death. they went on and did the royal wedding
My favorite part is the decedents franchise is probably that one 3d animated cartoon they made for no reason.it has surprisingly really good songs
wicked world had incredible bops
good is the new bad and night is young screams my childhood
"What's My Name" and "Ways To Be Wicked" and "Queen of Mean" are such bangers
Seriously, what the hell were those outfits
So is no one gonna talk about Mal DRUGGING Ben in the first movie??
I treat this movies like the Sharknado franchise: Yes, I know that they are horrible and don't make sense, but they are so bad that they loop back to being good... so I watch them trapped somewhere between loving it and agonizing with the lack of sense of the plot
Descendants is a decent franchise and despite the fact that the movies could have been better, we must admit that the 3 are not bad and are entertaining to watch
Postscript: I've seen EAH and if it's better than Disney's Descendants but it doesn't make the franchise bad I think the reason one was famous and the other not so much is because one is an animated series and the other is a franchise of live action movies, and you don't have to be smart to know that a movie franchise with real actors is going to make more known than an animated series don't be stupid for god's sake
@@mariocastillo2461 They are entertaining, but the plot lacks a lot of sense
@@ericregis3912 maybe a little but it's not that they're very serious either, I mean you don't have to be so demanding with an original disney channel movie since tell me, which disney channel movie is free of errors or lacks in its history? even lemonade mouth can't get rid of it
@@mariocastillo2461 I agree, but Descendants is something special because, in theory It's in the same universe as over 60 years worth of animated movies, and, somehow, contradicts all of them at the same time.

I actually jumped when I read Diamondbolt's name
The true chad.
ben’s crown from the second movie looks like it came from burger king and it makes me so annoyed 😒
Once opon a time, Disney said.
*LET'S COPY EVER AFTER HIGH AND MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT WAS OUR OWN IDEA!*
Sucks indeed
Yes
who thought mal hair in the second one was NO it should never exist
THANK YOU FOR THIS OMG
10:06 this is actually referencing a disney game called twisted wonderland!! it was made by the creator of black butler and it's basically hogwarts but the houses are based off of disney villains and the students are pretty anime boys based on said disney villains!! there's also 7 houses and a severe lack of deeply needed therapy :D
i dint think it is we alreayd have it
@@DianaDiana694 in my defense, i had no clue abt the rise of red movie two years ago, and i kind of wanted a crossover between the two lmao

Disney _*Channel's_ version, you mean.
"Once Upon A Time" is _very_ much a Disney property.
Oh my stars, it's been so long since I heard that name. I was obsessed with OUAT in ninth grade, but haven't watched it since. I almost completely forgot it existed.
Disney practically ripped off that show with those movies
I absolutely despise this movie for taking the cinematic masterpiece that was ever after high away from me. This movie deserves to rot in a pit of despair. 😤

I feel like Jay and Lonnie are the two gay besties that everyone ships even though they have told the general public multiple times they are gay
the main cast was dressed by people who have never had a genuine interaction with an emo/scene/alternative teen
i entirely believe they just googled "edgy teen" and picked the first PG image
The thing that bothered me most is the fact that Ben was in a relationship for probably a long time but then some villain girl shows up and DRUGS HIM just to USE HIM yet he still loves her.
The clothes are all amazing and I would wear them exclusively if possible
7:54 NO CUZ I SAY THIS ON A DAILY BASIS EVER SINCE I WATCHED THIS MOVIE💀

If Frollo's kid was in these movies, the plot would be much different.

Not surprised that the films are terrible. After all, they are made by Disney.
People like you really like to take movies way too seriously.

Imo Descendants 2 was the best one. Idk I felt like in the 3rd film there was too much happening at once
The best film in this god awful trilogy is probably the 3rd one. But just because it’s the best doesn’t mean it’s good. Unlike the other 2 films, they had actually tried to make a good film, but failed miserably.

The comment where they: if my boyfriend doesn't sing did I mention when he proposes to me. got me thinking of in the third when he actually sings did I mention slowed when proposing to Mal.
