I know it kinda doesn’t fit the scheme of children series/movies but I’d love to see one about Twilight, preferably with newer reviews… I used to be really into Twilight in Middle School and honestly what was I thinking lol
"They say it's Taco Tuesday, but nobody's eating tacos." This is a detail I wish I didn't know. Another horrible detail is how in the Legend of Everfree song, the logo blinks, but it's not in synch with the beat of the song.
I personally feel Flash get's more hate than he deserves. First movie he has no character so there's nothing to hate or love Second he spends most of it controlled by the Sirens Third he actually started to feel like a character Fourth I actually found myself feeling bad for him at times In the specials and shorts he's funny.
Yeah, the worst thing he actually brings to the movies are the forced romance between him and Twilight, and a bunch of people being mad because they shipped their OCs with Flash.
I agree, I think a bunch of people just randomly started hating him and everyone else just jumped on the hate train. I don’t personally like him to much compared to other characters since like you said he didn’t really have to much of a personality, but that doesn’t mean I down right hate him
Not hate but I kinda dislike him because yes, he had very little development, almost no character but is supposed to be an important character/love interest?
@@Kalcifer_Kitkat Wait, seriously? I actually thought he was older for at least 2-3 years, and that their (his and Twilight's) relationship was accidentally (or who knows, maybe purposefully) a way to show how trauma can make you vulnerable to authority figures and shit
He only works there bc the gal (Gloriosa) is his older sister. He's a senior in American high school, so he should be 18, or 17 if his birthday is late in the year, like if he was 17 but about to turn 18. In the original script it says he's 16 though, so he may be a year or two ahead. At most, he would be 2 years older than her, assuming that both a. he graduated on time and b. that she has a late year birthday and he has an early one. At the least, they could be the same age, assuming she has a late birthday and he graduated early but is still 16 or 17 like her because they have close birthdays. Most likely, she's probably either his age or 1 year difference in one direction or the other. They're about a grade apart either way in that case.
My favorite part was how in the first movie the students were more concerned about a talking dog than one of the students becoming a literal demon and trying to kill them Also I blame Sunset shimmer for my love of reformed villains
I think the main gang was even more concerned with a spike that couldn't talk that the spike that could. The whole "a friend of ours nearly destroyed the world, twice" thing def ranks somewhere below that.
When I was a kid I was so happy watching the first Equestia girls movie and honestly I still sometimes hum the intro to the camp everfree movie. The songs slapped and honestly I’m just glad I got to enjoy the movies when I still had that childlike innocence 👌 (Though I hated that the original twilight from the pony universe was replaced with the budget human version of her. The post credits scene at the end of the movie where they met was hilarious though ngl XD)
Same. The human version of Twilight is way too dramatic especially in Legend of the Everfree. It's like she's thinking everything is about her like lol gurl. The magic appears not because of you or your "MiDnIghT". Twilight from the pony universe is way more funny, likeable, and better. (This is just my opinion)
@@Mxtsukii0209 It should have been Sunset if they are just gonna replace Twilight. She's better. I just hate the human Twilight since the Friendship Games. She's nothing like the pony Twilight I know and I just hate it.
@@reeva6618 huh weird, it's like all of the characters should be the exact same as their human counterparts. Human Twilight reminds me of 1st to 2nd season Twilight, so it definitely makes sense that she feels different than the current Twilight. Saying pony Twilight is likable than the twilight with not much character development as the pony one is a bit.... disingenuous
@@ijustwanticecream7216 what ever do you mean by me being disingenuous? I just said I hate her because she is nothing like the pony Twilight I know and love. The pony Twilight from season 1-2 isn't even like her. Only a little bit that is. She doesn't remind me of her. The only thing she have in common in Twilight is their common love in education, intelligence, and knowledge. That is all. The Twilight I love is emotionally strong(tho sometimes she tends to go on a mental breakdown), hilarious, and her being dramatic is bearable(sometimes it's even funny). She's enjoying to watch and has even more HAPPY and JOLLY PERSONALITY. Which is why I like her. That's the reason why I don't like the human Twilight because I just can't connect them the same.
"Twilight Sparkle is a reverse furry" Yes! I've been thinking this exact same thing for years. There's ship tease between Twilight Sparkle and a human character, implying that Twilight is canonically attracted to humans. Twilight Sparkle is a reverse furry. Glad to see someone else say it.
I'm gonna be honest The best equestria girls movie is Rainbow rocks not because of music not because of the villains but because of sunset shimmer and her whole thing As a person that unfortunately had anger issues I completely get her and the fact that everyone hated her through out the movie and they didn't forgive her immediately is pretty realistic Because even though equestria girls movies has OH SO MANY plot holes because it vent out of its way to portray such realistic character that other people that where like her and had to go through anger issues and dealing with so many people hating and not understanding them and just consider them as bullies I appreciate this franchise
Rainbow rocks is literally the only movie in the franchise that has a leg to stand on. Legend of the everfree was okayish, but the only one that was actually good was rainbow rocks and the rest are inconsequential
Rainbow Rocks is S**t, the songs are cheesy, the script was messed up, it doesn’t deserve to be praised! It should be trashed for tanking the popularity of rock! Not to mention, the songs in the feel like an hour, while every other band from rock and metal and any type of said genre’s feel like a minute.
I'm not a brony, BUT Imagine saying the victim is annoying because they're having a hard time processing trauma and being afraid of losing control of their magic and hurting everyone they love again. I can't- I'm going back in my closet
No, they're saying she's annoying because she ignored the one who went through it 10x worse and had a whole second movie where they still weren't forgiven. She's annoying because she ignored the one who suffered in both Equestria and the Human World and is trying to explain that things get better. She's annoying because she ignores the fact that they had powers before her and she's not the only one to develop abilities, but she acts like _all_ of them having powers is a bad thing. She's annoying because she's not truly the victim, the writers just needed to stretch out the fucking run time with dumb b-plot conflict instead of a more interesting plot of further exploring the girls' powers.
@@KageTenshiiRyuu Ohhh- that's a good point- Not trying to make excuses but it's been a while since I've seen the movie so I only remember a few bits of it. But yeah that's a good point. However, I would like to add to the fact that everyone processes trauma at a different pace. Not to mention it just happened to her recently (or so I think cause I'm not sure of the timeline) She might think of the magic that way because of how crazy and dangerous it can become (as shown) in the friendship games if not handled properly. I see your point tho 👍
@@KageTenshiiRyuu Well you can't really tell someone they can't act a certain way because their experience "wasn't as bad" or "someone else had worse". That's a cruel thing to do .
@@hollowwoods7130 yeah I'm a firm believer that we shouldn't be ranking trama, While yes they brought up good points, overall everyone process it different and sometimes irrationally.
to the absolutely scathing review of the Girl Twilight: do you know how human feelings work lmao???? we arent exactly rational with them and personally i kind of resonated with her a points
Yeah, Sci-Twi wasn't selfish at all. She already had issues with her.. everything mentally from being verbally abused by her peers and getting manipulated by her principal, and then on top of that they fucking forced her to get consumed by a shit ton of magic
Ok finally, people with actually working brains. I was furious with that review. Getting traumatized by something especially if you know yourself YOU'RE the reason for the trauma takes time to get over. I honestly felt like I was completely disregarded since apparently if people can't understand a fictional character's trauma what more so people irl. They must've felt really smart.
I hate sci twi but only because i find her a little annoying and unnecessary but god that rant made me genuinely concerned for the person who wrote it- i feel like there's more to the story 🤨
@@ijustwanticecream7216 ikr and like just cause sunset “had it worse” doesn’t mean that sci twis trauma is invalid like cmon what kinda egotistical self centered mindset would you have to have to think that
Rainbow Rocks villains made me realize that I was bi, and that I love women who will break my heart, stomp on it, put it in a wood chipper, blend it, and then pour it in a volcano.
Sonata made me realize that I wasn’t just into himbos, I’m into bimbos as well. Especially ones with dubious morality. Something about the combination of hot, dumb, and evil…
My random thought on these movies that no one asked for or wants to know: 1. Equestria Girls: This was right after I stopped watching MLP as a child, and I was just horrified of how the pony characters looked as humans. When I rewatched all of MLP a few years back, I realized it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. After a few minutes of watching, your eyes just kinda adjust and the human characters start to look normal. I love all of the call back and references to the show, how they took the time to make every background character look unique and memorable even though they were only expecting to make one movie. Sunset Shimmer is one of my favorite animated characters of all time, and her raging is really fun to watch. But I do still have to say that her redemption at the end was really rushed and came out of literal nowhere. Another issue is how easy it was for Sunset to break apart the Mane Six's (or Five's I guess) friendship. If even a single one of them talked to another, her whole plan to keep them apart would unravel. Still a really good movie, and a strong start to the series. 2. Rainbow Rocks: I love this movie sooooo much. Sure it's kinda predictable and the plot isn't really the strongest of the series, but the characters are so much fun to watch. Like I said before, I love Sunset Shimmer, and I got actually mad at the other girls for not even asking her to join their band. She's basically part of their crew, and she just sits there in a corner for all of the Rainboom's rehearsals. But that made that moment she picked up the mike so much more powerful and satisfying. The songs in this movie are phenominal. Not just the ones actually in the movie, but the songs from the prequel and encore shorts are really good too. Shake Your Tale, Shine Like Rainbows, My Past Is Not Today, Welcome to the Show, Friendship Through the Ages, Under Our Spell, Let's Have A Battle (Of the Bands), the fricking theme song. The final battle song is one of my favorites from all of MLP, and the Siren's songs are also really fun and well performed. Kudos all around. 3. Friendship Games: While I love the songs in Rainbow Rocks more, I think this is the better movie overall. I mean, this movie had the guts to make Twilight Sparkle, the literal princess of friendship, the villain. Sure this isn't the same Twilight, but still. Sci-Twi is a lot like Twilight before she met her friends, and it's a frankly genius idea to show what Twilight would have turned out like without Celestia's mentorship. The songs are also really good, but not as many or as hummable as the ones from Rainbow Rocks. Still, ACADECA, What More Is Out There, and Unleash the Magic are really good. I love that even though she became a good guy, Sunset still has anger issues, and lashes out at Twilight. Many redeemed characters completely change after their redemptions, but Sunset's change is still believable. She isn't suddenly perfect, but she's trying, and that's what makes her such a great character. 4. Legend of Everfree: This was such a fun movie. Firstly, it completes Sunset's redemption arc, and it starts Twilight's. Sunset goes from "friend who went evil and tried to kill us once" to "friend who's going to lead us now, because she actually understands how magic works". The way she helps everyone adjust to their new powers and shows them how it can be amazing when they can only see the downsides shows that she's becoming a mentor to her friends now, instead of her friends mentoring her like they did in the other films. Twilight is still very traumatized from the last movie, and she can't see that no one is still judging her for her actions but herself. Twilight saw herself turn into a monster, and she was horrified. Twilight thinks she's a poison, and when she sees her friends are unhappy at first with the new magic, she blames herself, because she doesn't trust herself anymore. Secondly, it marks the beginning of the Rainboom's transformation from regular high school girls into literal superheroes. Not only do they each get unique superpowers, they also get superhero costumes at the end. There aren't as many songs in this one, but the film more than makes up for it from how good every songs is. The theme tune is so fun and catchy, and immediately made me think of all of the Girl Scout camps I've been to. Midnight in Me is such a powerful and sorrowful song, and it beautifully illustrates Twilight's internal struggle. It's probably the best Sci-Twi song overall. Embrace the Magic is just a very pretty song, and Sunset's guidance showing the girls how magic can help them shows how much she's grown from the first movie. Legend You Are Meant To Be is a fun song that gets stuck in my head way too often, and might be one of the Rainboom's greatest songs. And Hope Shines Eternal is my favorite Equestria Girls song of all time. The harmonies are to die for. This movie also takes the time to make it clear that this Twilight is a different person, with different experiences and tastes, than Princess Twilight. Not only is she not attracted to Flash, she also gets her own love interest. Also, can I just say that Timber Spruce is a better Twilight romantic interest than Flash Sentry. Why did Nerdy Princess Twilight go for the "Cool Rockstar Kid" in the first place? It makes more sense for her to date someone who actually shares common interests, and can actually follow what she says. Also, I'm pretty sure that Timber is supposed to be a high schooler too, he just has a summer job at his family's business. The only issues I have with this movie is that Gloriosa is probably the weakest of the villains from the movies (although she's miles better than Vignette Valencia and Juniper Montage). Her turn to evil didn't really feel right, and she doesn't really fit in with the rest the the She-Demon Club.
Oh my God I think the angelic form of sunset shimmer from friendship games was my gay awakening and I'm starting to understand why I watched these movies on repeat as a kid
THAT'S WHAT I'M SAYING SUNSET SHIMMER MADE ME GAY I USED TO BE OBSESSED WITH THIS SHIT AND I'M ONLY REDISOCVERING IT NOW OHHAWHHAHUDFIHSDFLEIS IM GONNA HAVE A MY LITTLE PONY EQUESTRIA GIRLS MOVIE MARATHON HEHHAHHAHEHHAEHEHFESUKTHRKTUDRUIT
OH MY GOODNESS. SAME! I had this Equestira girl game on my Ipad when I was younger that I would play every day and loved it! Then one day the game just broke and I was so sad. :C
I remember on that mlp gameloft game where you built a town and there’s quests and things there was an equestria girls minigame where you have to tap the screen when the hoof things are at a certain part of the screen to a song (basically fnf) and not to brag but I was really good at the cafeteria song and strange new world but then I kinda just stopped playing the game so :(
I actually forgot that I had the equestrian girls era, this brought me flashbacks. also, I remember I could sing the cafeteria song in 3 languages cause I was _ obsessed_. but I have never seen the 4th movie cause I got too much of the movies. now I wanna watch them all again
I've probably seen each of these movies at least 7 times, and every episode of FiM 3 at least times (Even the bad ones.). While my level of passion for MLP has varied over the years I still check out Equestria Daily several times a week, and, because of my passions for music and history, I listen too and sing brony songs near daily, and follow the Equestria at War mod for Hearts of Iron IV constantly.
I’m in high school now and i still listen to all the Sirens’ songs unironically. Seriously, Rainbow Rocks deserved an Oscar nomination for their music alone
pony twilight is iconic, and has been ever since day one; be it a scene with spike, one of her friends, ALL OF HER FRIENDS, or just alone during one of her freak-outs, she's just so funny to me and has remained my favourite throughout every season, even if i was much older when the show finally ended. but nerdy twilight from equestria girls? i just can't seem to like her as much.
Although I really like her design, I have to agree, sci twi just feels like one of those new characters that suddenly are shoved into the main cast in much later seasons, who has no background to justify their presence, outside of the "where's human twilight?" plothole
To answer your question in the description: my favorite pony growing up was rarity because her whole thing was pretty things and i was in my "fashion girly uwu" phase when i first got into MLP, nowadays my favorite pony is fluttershy because she's an anxious wreck like me :)
My favorite was applejack because me and my sister loved apples for some reason, another favorite was rainbow dash because she could fly and we thought she was cool. Last one was flutter shy because I was such a shy kid who liked animals and I could relate to her
I once talked for an hour with a kid who was a grade lower than me about these movies and how I loved the 1st movie and Rainbow Rocks and how I absolutely refuse to re-watch most of the others, he had some interesting points to share that were more interesting to listen to than most presidential debates in my opinion. Easily one of my favorite conversations.
This brings back tons of memories when I would watch nothing but these movies, and I still occasionally do from time to time Idc what anyone says about these movies, they're all amazing and tbe songs are absolute bops!
Do people realize that pony twilight sparkle was a very different character before she met her friends in ponyville? Like there was literally an episode where it was explained that twilight cared so little for friendship that she often neglected her friends for studying in her own hometown before Celestia sent her to Ponyville. Human twilight hasn’t grown the same way pony twilight has yet and she nearly turned into a demon, so clearly it makes sense that human twilight isn’t on the same level as pony twilight yet.
Bro wtf with those last reviews? Does this person even knows what human emotions are? Of course she is going to still feel guilty over what happened before, she almost killed people with the magic that she stole (by accidente though) and she was also brainwashed by her whole school so of course she is going to still feel extremely guilty over it. And let's not forget, it could had been worse if they didn't acknoledge the previous movie, because this is what gives this new Twilight her character arch
Yeah, avoid people like that like the plague. Last reviewer is a rotten, selfish piece of shit that projects their issues onto a cartoon horse-girl and thinks it's okay to trivialize someone's problems because "x had it worse". I hope THEY get what's coming to THEM in that they spend the rest of their miserable, shallow lives wasting away in a puddle of their own filth like the disgusting vermin they are.
YES!!! the point is that both twilights are completely different people with different lives and different experiences! of COURSE scitwi is naïve when compared to twilight because twilight had at LEAST 6 seasons of development at that point and scitwi was ONLY smart
Rainbow Rocks is my favorite of the four movies, while the first is my least favorite (and then Friendship Games is my second favorite, with Legend of Everfree being my third favorite!). The music, villains, banter between characters, and Sunset's redemption arc are awesome and improved upon what came previously, where I was worried that EQGs was going to end up as a high school spinoff and nothing more. Even with my ranking, there's something in all the movies that I really like. Though the first EQGs is my least favorite, what I like is Twilight adjusting to a new world and having some parallels to the first episode/season finale of Friendship is Magic! There's also some TV specials like Movie Magic and Forgotten Friendship that are pretty great and have more crossing over with Pony Equestria.
I liked the original show as a kid but I was never obsessed with it, but these movies, I loved them! I still do and they are the movies I go to when I'm feeling really bad. The character design, the songs, the simple plots, the songs, the pretty colour palettes, the songs, these movies and the shorts that also have the EQ are just a fun time and always make me feel better. Did I mention that the songs are absolute bops?
i love the movies since I was a kid. I'm honestly kinda embarrassed and also kinda proud how I still like these four movies, especially Rainbow Rocks since it was more about music (ig) and the Dazzlings are fabulous, especially Adagio. And yes, I do remember the Dazzlings' names.
I wish we got to see more of the dazzlings! Rainbow rocks was one of my favorite movies, just because of the sirens. It also caused me to get into writing
As one old bronie, this video is precious to me. Omg I USED TO HAVE SETS OF TOYS FOR EQUESTRIA EVEN IF THE WHOLE FANDOM HATE THERES MOVIES BACK THEM JFJAJDJS friendship games only value is the music, same as the first one. Also still mad to renegade Sunset only to Equestria I should love see her interact with the main show,,,,,she's my fav character, I still have her pony figure proud on my room, girlboss going on
You reading all these kinds of reviews has made me feel the need to dedicate the next 2 weeks to going on a nostalgia monster high, ever after high, barbie , and mlp mega binge 🥺
i bet five dollars there will be at least one review by someone simping over the Dazzlings or sunset. and I don't blame them Im extremely straight for them since 2014
I went through every review on that website last weekend after a few shots of Fireball, let me tell you you win that bet. If they weren't simping for The Dazzlings collectively, it was all just simping for Sunset and Adagio.
I gotta tell you, rainbow rocks gives off this feeling, a type of feeling that cant be told through words. It’s also like 20% of my childhood (along with all the other MLP movies and shows)
What movie or series of movies would you like to see reviews of next? Comment below and like other comments you agree with! Whatever idea people seem to like most, I'll try to do :)
@@thegoodwitchluzura Whoops! Thanks for noticing. TH-cam is messing with my comments again... It deleted this one, but now it has randomly reappeared 🤔 Replies to this comment will still be counted, don't worry :)
my favorite part about the Equestria Girls movies was some shorts they released to promote Rainbow Rocks and there was this one with DJPon3 just jammin around the town and i was introduced to dubstep, i havent recovered from that, i absolutely love it (she can be seen in the movie but in the mane 6 POV in the background i loved that)
I played Rainbow Rocks on repeat when I was recovering from surgery and I still regard it as THE BEST Equestria Girls movie. Sunset's arc completion in RR is better than whatever walmart human Twilight was trying to do in the two movies she was in. The Sirens were very well written and smart. I like how they didn't fall on their knees sobbing in front of pony Twilight and Sunset. They ran off in humiliation because they didn't belong and their ego's were crushed. FlashLight is my all time favorite MLP ship, but I like how Flash was still under the influence of the Sirens' magic. It made Twilight have an even bigger motivation to save the alternate universe she'd spent a total of 4 days in. The music is phenomenal, and to this day, I still find myself randomly singing the songs from it. This is the one movie whose sequel is better than the original. 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone!
Not movie or show, but I want a compilation of fanfiction tags that basically say that the author did not use canon. stuff like "canon I don't know her" or "Canon is dead, I killed it behind Denny's"
These movies and MLP was my bread and butter when I was younger. I remember constantly asking my mom to get the first movie when it came out on DVD, and then searching aimlessly for the Pinkie Pie Equestria Girl doll, and doing covers of the songs on my ipod. I miss those days...
Favorite part of MLP EG was actually just the finale of Rainbow Rocks. No cap, unironically enjoyable. In fact, I got a bit giddy seeing the title of this vid because it reminded me that MLP soundtracks exist, so Imma tap out to go listen to 'Shine Like Rainbows' again and relive my childhood, toodles!
My favorite part from each Equestria Girls Movies are as follows: Equestria Girls: Either the Cafeteria Song or when they turned into pony girls for the first time Rainbow Rocks: The entire sing-off between the Dazzlings and the Rainbooms. When Sunset Shimmer was called to sing and she threw her jacket off, you know that shit was going down Friendship Games: Honestly it was when Applejack helped Sci-Twi during the bow and arrow section of the competion. It was incrediably heartwarming to see and it was just so precious Legend Of Everfree: I barely remember this one but probably when they were fighting against Gloria. Honestly this movie is my least favourite. Rainbow Rocks is objectively the best one.
i remember trying to watch Rainbow Rocks and the whole time i was distracted by sonata just being one big mood. homegirl just wanted tacos 4:40 well if the world's ended she can be alone 24/7 eh
I mean… The first one was a weird but sort of clever introduction to this world. The second one just really rocked, we don‘t talk about the third one and the fourth had Gaia’s song, wich will forever be the best villain song I have ever heard. We don‘t talk enough about that one.
The fact that the writer simp guy (best character btw) cameoed for like five seconds in the third film proves that this franchise is ten times better than the other MLP movies.
7:25 I did a tiny bit of digging. I always assumed they were close in age, and that the girls were 17-18, since pony Twilight is an adult and was turned into their age group. However, on the official wiki the there is one source of a crew member stating Timber is still a teen in highschool, and a source of a different crew member saying he finished highschool and is roughly one and a half years older than Twilight. So Id assume he is around 18-20. BUT there is also a script where he is stated to be 16. Not sure if thats still official or scrapped draft. And yet another source that says he is 17-18. It’s really inconsistent even among the crew members it seems. But either which way you spin it, they’re in roughly the same age group, and Timber is not an “older man” (thank goodness). I personally would consider the girls 18 and Timber around 20
4:00 I'd just like to say that these movies are exactly like the American School System. All American students are rainbows colors, there are about 6 girls in our school that turn into Pony-Human things every time they sing, one of the bullies at my school turned into a demon. Everything in these movies happens in my school everyday.
As someone who still loves mlp, even these movies, this was great. My favorite part in any of the movies is when an adult kidnaps children to try use them as a way to keep her camp for kids still afloat so more kids could vist in the future...I didn't like Camp Everfree but that idea makes me giggle.
I also really enjoy the fact that thousand year old syrens sent through a portal by the protectors of Equestria at the time (the pillars)...and can still get into a highschool without any questions from the staff. Like why are adults in trying to enroll in our school? Why don't you have a home address? Who are your parents?
Also even in the shorts the only families we ever see are Pinkie Pie's (and like just her older sister, Muad) and AJs. We see Sunsets home but she's living alone. Same with Raity...weird
ALSO ALSO Sunset is an adult in Equestria but a student once she gets into the human world....is she faking it or are the time differences just that drastic?
I'd say that Gloriosa was in her mid 20s (Like I am.) and the Humane 7 are, or at least appear to be, 16 to 18, so the age difference isn't that extreme.
Tbh I always disliked "human" Twilight and just felt that "pony" Twilight was more interesting, sure after few movies "pony" Twilight in the human world idea would run dry and they decided to put "human" Twilight in the spotlight instead, but I feel the movies downgraded a bit, I might be hella biased so- Though I don't hate her to the degree where I think she's selfish, etc. she has trauma and can't process it well and that is completely acceptable, after being the villain and nearly destroying the world you also wouldn't be okay. However what I don't like is that Sunset got judged a lot, yet apparently everyone forgives "human" Twilight immediately??? But I haven't seen the movie in a long time too so there were scenes with people not liking "human" Twilight
i personally think people forgive twilight so fast because they see other twilight in scitwi (human twilight) and it makes them go “shes like the girl who saved us, its ok she went a little rabid i know shes nice” instead of going “oh shit”
so i recently got into mlp and watched the entire series along with the movies with a friend. my god is it good. after the first movie, i really started to like equestria girls and wanted to see more of them. sad that all we got were movies and shorts. anyways sunset shimmer my beloved
Rainbow rock is just a great movie throughout, it has the best music, the best villains and Sunset’s redemption arc. The Dazzlings is definitely the highlight of the movie, their characters, the design, that they are a acapella trio with the magic power of vocal editing (love the vocal glitches in the background of the music), there animation, the pure selfish evil of their intentions and just beautiful singing voices. The only crime is that Trixie’s song wasn’t fully featured in the movie, but it is available on the disk and TH-cam. The Swedish version is really good, but for some stupid reason they TELL you the dub voices during the credits song, which is one of the best ones, infuriating
These movies felt like fever dreams way more than my other childhood feverdream films and I actually love them I straight up forgot the 3rd(friendship games) one existed oh my god, I thought that the first and second ones were the same film?? God, these fils had an extreme yet very forgettable impact on my childhood. The villains from rainbow rocks are gateway heathers btw
My favorite part about these movies/universe is that Derpy and Bulk Biceps are low key implied to be a couple. It's such a weird pairing between two oddball characters that it just works.
rainbow rock was one of those movies i watched almost everyday for almost an entire year and i honestly don’t know how no one realized i had autism sooner
imagine walking around in a circle on a trampoline with your sister in 100 degree weather, singing every Rainbow Rocks song you know and bossing her around so that you can be Adagio Dazzle while thinking you were the coolest person ever because you knew some of the lyrics...couldn't be me btw i have at least 25 MLP plushes just chilling in my closet soooooooo
I haven't even seen the third film, and still my favourite thing in these films is Unleash the Magic. It's the only song in all of these I've liked, even though the lyrics are dumb (what even is that uu-u-wau-wa?) but the instrumental and notes are so good!
I had completely forgotten the existance of Camp Evergreen, despite the fact that i have seen it. And i rememberd the three first ones! They left an impact! Fourth movie had no value tho
I love these movies. (Apart from the fourth, I can barely remember the fourth.) My favourite is the second coz the villain trio is just amazing, singing and personality and everything. And the songs in general were mostly bangers except for when they weren't. And I unironically adore trixie's song... also, battle of the bands is an amazing song and I am not ashamed to say that I sang it out loud on the school bus multiple times. First film was good aswell, just coz we got twilight failing to human, which, yeah, relatable. And i was born a human, sooo... anyway, the fact the cafeteria song was amazing here too. I enjoyed the third film less, but the mona lisa cake is something I will forever adore, especially the smug grin on pinkie's face as she cut into it. And applejack is still radiating awsome big sister energy, especially on the archery range, so that's something I can definitely appreciate.
I remember next to nothing about these movies other than I might’ve watched some of them, but I think there is one scene in Rainbow rocks when when the astrology bitch and her band were playing the tail end of their song right before the villains were about to go on stage or something, and I remember putting that little part on repeat because they had this cool spacey sounding instrument thingy.
What movie or series of movies would you like to see in a reviews video like this next? Reply to this comment and like other comments you agree with, because whichever suggestion seems most popular is what I'll try to do next! :)
I know it kinda doesn’t fit the scheme of children series/movies but I’d love to see one about Twilight, preferably with newer reviews… I used to be really into Twilight in Middle School and honestly what was I thinking lol
Descendants maybe? The movies fall under funny bad, so that'll be fun.

I personally feel Flash get's more hate than he deserves.
First movie he has no character so there's nothing to hate or love
Second he spends most of it controlled by the Sirens
Third he actually started to feel like a character
Fourth I actually found myself feeling bad for him at times
In the specials and shorts he's funny.

@@Kalcifer_Kitkat serious??
They're about a grade apart either way in that case.
i always thought he was like 20 tbh
My favorite part was how in the first movie the students were more concerned about a talking dog than one of the students becoming a literal demon and trying to kill them
Also I blame Sunset shimmer for my love of reformed villains
The EQG people seem like Gen Z. Less concerned about the world's destruction than anything else.
OMG YES reformed villains in mlp have such good character development like sunset, starlight, trixie, discord, and more!
same. her and zuko

The songs slapped and honestly I’m just glad I got to enjoy the movies when I still had that childlike innocence 👌
(Though I hated that the original twilight from the pony universe was replaced with the budget human version of her.
I was so salty when the original twilight was replaced with human twilight-
@@Mxtsukii0209 It should have been Sunset if they are just gonna replace Twilight.
"Twilight Sparkle is a reverse furry"
Yes! I've been thinking this exact same thing for years. There's ship tease between Twilight Sparkle and a human character, implying that Twilight is canonically attracted to humans. Twilight Sparkle is a reverse furry. Glad to see someone else say it.
I thought she was attracted to flash because of his pony alt.

I'm gonna be honest
The best equestria girls movie is Rainbow rocks not because of music not because of the villains but because of sunset shimmer and her whole thing
As a person that unfortunately had anger issues I completely get her and the fact that everyone hated her through out the movie and they didn't forgive her immediately is pretty realistic
Because even though equestria girls movies has OH SO MANY plot holes because it vent out of its way to portray such realistic character that other people that where like her and had to go through anger issues and dealing with so many people hating and not understanding them and just consider them as bullies I appreciate this franchise
I'm not a brony, BUT
Imagine saying the victim is annoying because they're having a hard time processing trauma and being afraid of losing control of their magic and hurting everyone they love again.
Not to mention it just happened to her recently (or so I think cause I'm not sure of the timeline) She might think of the magic that way because of how crazy and dangerous it can become (as shown) in the friendship games if not handled properly.

What was that last part -
My random thought on these movies that no one asked for or wants to know:

Yeah plus that one reviewer seemed to basically hate sci-twi because she was TRAUMATIZED
The guy that forced his friends to watch all 4 movies. What a legend
Wow, that’s my exact ranking!
The cafeteria song gives me so much nostalgia, I just time traveled like 10 years back
I liked the original show as a kid but I was never obsessed with it, but these movies, I loved them!

In fact, I got a bit giddy seeing the title of this vid because it reminded me that MLP soundtracks exist, so Imma tap out to go listen to 'Shine Like Rainbows' again and relive my childhood, toodles!
time spans
0:08 equestria girls
1:35 rainbow rocks
3:24 friendship games
5:03 legends of everfree
your welcome 👏
My favorite part from each Equestria Girls Movies are as follows:
Equestria Girls: Either the Cafeteria Song or when they turned into pony girls for the first time
Rainbow Rocks: The entire sing-off between the Dazzlings and the Rainbooms. When Sunset Shimmer was called to sing and she threw her jacket off, you know that shit was going down
Friendship Games: Honestly it was when Applejack helped Sci-Twi during the bow and arrow section of the competion. It was incrediably heartwarming to see and it was just so precious
Legend Of Everfree: I barely remember this one but probably when they were fighting against Gloria. Honestly this movie is my least favourite. Rainbow Rocks is objectively the best one.
any scene with the villains from rainbow rocks
i remember trying to watch Rainbow Rocks and the whole time i was distracted by sonata just being one big mood. homegirl just wanted tacos
4:40 well if the world's ended she can be alone 24/7 eh
Actual Brony here. Any scene with Adagio in it is incredible.
Hear hear.
hi
My favorite part is literally just any of the Sirens songs and all Trixie moments
Honestly I barely remember Legend of Everfree. Seeing this video reminded me why I rewatched the other three movies and purged that one from my mind.
I was in the MLP:FiM fandom when those came out so I guess my favourite part was watching bronies argue
Rainbow Rocks was an iconic film
Tbh I always disliked "human" Twilight and just felt that "pony" Twilight was more interesting, sure after few movies "pony" Twilight in the human world idea would run dry and they decided to put "human" Twilight in the spotlight instead, but I feel the movies downgraded a bit, I might be hella biased so-
Though I don't hate her to the degree where I think she's selfish, etc. she has trauma and can't process it well and that is completely acceptable, after being the villain and nearly destroying the world you also wouldn't be okay.
Welcome to the herd!
The sirens are kid-friendly heathers.
2:00 I could actually imagine Taco saying that.
Same, I was like "wait why does that actually work-"
These movies felt like fever dreams way more than my other childhood feverdream films and I actually love them
I straight up forgot the 3rd(friendship games) one existed oh my god, I thought that the first and second ones were the same film?? God, these fils had an extreme yet very forgettable impact on my childhood.
The villains from rainbow rocks are gateway heathers btw
The comment on 2:11 just wanted to watch the world burn 🔥 a real villian
My favorite part about these movies/universe is that Derpy and Bulk Biceps are low key implied to be a couple. It's such a weird pairing between two oddball characters that it just works.
rainbow rock was one of those movies i watched almost everyday for almost an entire year
and i honestly don’t know how no one realized i had autism sooner
imagine walking around in a circle on a trampoline with your sister in 100 degree weather, singing every Rainbow Rocks song you know and bossing her around so that you can be
Adagio Dazzle while thinking you were the coolest person ever because you knew some of the lyrics...couldn't be me
btw i have at least 25 MLP plushes just chilling in my closet soooooooo
Sasha Waybright is rlly just a reskinned Sunset Shimmer and I freaking love it
sunset shimmer walked so sasha waybright could run
I love legend of ever ride so much like- it is a spot in my heart for the intro,I memorized that crap!
Say what you want about the friendship games but you can't deny that "unleash the magic" was one of the best songs of the film
I haven't even seen the third film, and still my favourite thing in these films is Unleash the Magic. It's the only song in all of these I've liked, even though the lyrics are dumb (what even is that uu-u-wau-wa?) but the instrumental and notes are so good!
lmao uu wa ua
I had completely forgotten the existance of Camp Evergreen, despite the fact that i have seen it. And i rememberd the three first ones! They left an impact! Fourth movie had no value tho
Mlp movies made my entire childhood what it was, so reading this is amazing
This really just needed to be a trilogy and no more. That's my opinion.
To this day, I still enjoy the Rainbow Rocks songs, especially the end credits song. It's so heartfelt and charming!
Oh dear lord, that Twilight rant was something else XD
When I saw this, it brought back a time in my life I would like to forget
I wish there where more of these films
Same
Yep
those three villain girls in rainbow rocks are the sole reason I love that movie like omg they were so fineeeeee 😭😭😭
I love these movies. (Apart from the fourth, I can barely remember the fourth.)
My favourite is the second coz the villain trio is just amazing, singing and personality and everything.
For me, my favorite part of EG was in rainbow rocks when the dazlings performed "Under Our Spell". The song's a fuxkin bop
My favorite part of the movies is the second movie's songs. Tricks up my sleeve and Under our spell are just beautiful.
Every other review: this is kinda cool
That one at 7:09:
Things I learnt today:
-the fourth movie exists
-it’s probably for the best that I only watched the first two films
