@@watchdogs295 it’s ok, the gears are a little longer than I would hope but it’s faster than majority of the cars on the road, getting on the freeway or passing someone is never an issue for though.

Had this generation Camry blow the doors off me one day. I was doing the maximum speed of 90 km/h, and this Camry was probably doing double that. It flewww by me. It gave me a chuckle!
They are impressive I have a 21 XSE V6 has a D3 tune I topped it out at 171mph and with the tune it averages almost 35mpg its impressive

I was behind one of these today here in Bavaria in my Alfa Romeo Giulietta. I had to put it in Dynamic mode to stay with it. Plus is was wet as hell.

Wish EU had regular 3.5l with regular gearbox and not CVT 2.5l... Would buy it and as a car entusiast actually! Like them a lot. Not so fan of the XSE tho, I like it classy. But sounds good
You can also get the XLE with the 3.5L in the US, which is the more luxury oriented version, or the TRD, but sadly the take rate for the V6 for this generation is really low, which is a shame as it is the last in its segment.
@@moofridge Toyota did that to themselves by not offering the V6 on the base models.. like LE and SE how they used to to back in 07-11
@@moofridge Toyota got the V6 locked down with a governor. However, the main problem is the Auto 8 speed transmission as gear ratios are messed up. Pop in a manual 6 speed transmission and you'll can go 0 to 60 in 5.1 seconds and if there was way to rid of the governor likely able to hit 150 mph before blowing the engine. As it is, you can do 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds and top speed 135mph. The fun is having a manual transmission, as paddle shifters are more of a gimmick/imitation. The Camry XSE 2.5L i4 is a family everyday driver car but with the V6 it has more pep or zip with a slight sport body appearance. Not every likes the body style as it is a personal preference. The TRD is sportier with the extra trim features such as Side Skirts and T-wing rear Spoiler, but still performs no different than the XSE V6 however, the TRD is $8K cheaper with kool looking Red stitching interior.

Top Speed For the Camry XSE V6 3.5L was 135 MPH Top Speed.
So I went to over take one cuz they was driving slow after a few seconds they was on my back bumper so I stepped on it I pulled him cuz i do have a few mods but i had to slow down cuz of traffic they flew by in the fast lane i tried catching up to him and I couldn’t was shocked cuz I usually catch up to camrys😂mind u I have a 2008 g35 with 306 hp with bolt on’s and couldn’t catch up i top out at130 idk why they limited it to that but yea the cam was doing 135😂

is it speed limited? my dad's 2010 gl camry (2.4l 169hp) hit 220 easily, it couldve gone more but i didnt go faster. this has 2x hp shouldve done 250 easy

Nice Car but the time it took to go from 60mph to 100 mph was a bit slow. The 3.5 liter V6 rav4 seems to have you beat by a couple seconds.
Wish Toyota would go back to a 5 sp transmission not the 8. So much power is lost

Yes
Camry’s engine sound is too noisy. I have had 2.5engine. This is a big noisy. It is similar my car.
You've not yet heard the cabin noise of the Honda Accord 2.0T, it is roughly 5 to 10 decibels louder than the Camry. Neither automaker Honda nor Toyota believes in sound deadening unless you spend $70k on one of their vehicles.
@@richscott2483 no, the same engine in Avalon or ES is very, very quiet. Huge difference compared to the Camry, even though they are similar cars.

I agree, all because of this 8 speed transmission. Wrong geared.
High RPM's and Speeds above 90 mph will ruin the engine. It's not a race car. Thank you for showing that you can go 135 mph with the governor limiting the engine. Aluminum engine blocks can't take the high heat or pressure, have to regulate it somehow as not to blow up the engine.
Lol my XSE V6 does about 2K rpm at 90 mph, didn’t know that could ruin the engine

Yes, the older generation of camry v6 even has higher speed limits, around 140 ~ 145. If you're going downhill, it can reach 150+, as I remember
