I have to fix my axle tomorrow morning On my 97 legacy outback, I’m brokedown for a couple nights until Monday when I can get an axle and tow to family.! I’m worried about cracking these rusty bolts and not torquing to spec. Hope I got it
@@KNKRNR yeah I’ve done all the work on my car so far, it’s mostly just unbolt -> remove part/put new part -> bolt on. Fairly simple. I just need to borrow a cheater bar and probably a torque wrench because I have no way of torquing the axle nut to spec... I hope I can even break it free without damage, and hope the axle didn’t damage the wheel bearing assembly or transmission side... I hope it’s just a Clean east axle swap, that I KNOW I can do... it will be my first time but videos like yours give me hope, it’s not that hard to work on cars I saved so much money last year doing everything myself and it feels good knowing you did it yourself too it always motivates me to fix more and upgrade more. Can’t wait to have my own place /garage... I’m living and working in my car right now and have no money so I need this job done ASAP
But yeah thanks for the great video and fast reply, I can tell you guys are great people just by the way you and your son? Work together and teach him/the audience. Very appreciated man, I love working on my car, If I had the money and space I’d repair everything on her... she needs a lot of work but I’m slowly saving up to do it all
