How much do you believe in luck when it comes to bass fishing?
It always amazes me how drastically that bite can change from day to day and even within a few hours. Always adjusting for sure.
That's very true! It can be a challenge for sure. But I think in a weird way, that's part of the appeal of bass fishing. If it was easy, would it be as much fun?

I agree, slow may be fine sometimes but when they're not biting, I found that ripping a topwater across the surface has also gotten me reaction strikes.
A good topwater bite is hard to beat!

Color is only part of why I select the baits I do. It has to match with what I want to do first, then I worry about color.

I do get lucky....when i get un snagged from a rock pile!but i prefer to fish for fish,and down size till i get bites if its pressured.and i try both reaction lures,and plastics if they are wanting a slower falling bait.if i am confident i can get bit on a jig, ill use a 1oz,1/2,1/4,1/16 ,to try all the fall rates till i get bites, then ill use 2 brown grn pmkn,and blk blu,swap em and clean up w a few more jig bites💥🎣💪 Go Lowbrow ✌️.
