    Do you like to fish a Texas rig from the bank?

    That tip with the lighter weights when fishing shallow is such a good one!

      Thanks! It's something I noticed some novice anglers struggling with. Rarely are we punching mats from the bank, lol.

    Great video! It certainly is Texas rig season for those of us stuck on the bank.

    I have learned that going as light as I can with weedless soft plastics 9×/10 catches me far more bass from late April to colder temps result in a vegitation kill off in my lakes
    I am a shore fisherman and the bottom of the three lakes I fish 90%+ of the time is over 70% covered in silt and have weeds that will impact your luer choice beginning in March and by May 1st weeds make crankbaits essentially useless and from March 1st till about middle of May Only hard baits I can use are ones that don't dive deeper than 2-3 feet and are best at coming through sparce to moderate weed growth like chatterbait and spinner baits
    I recently discovered the T-rigged 5.5-7" Fluke and it has forever changed my fishing in weeds and I have never in my life had a single trip where I caught 10-15 bass in a single

      A Texas rig is hard to beat! Thanks for watching!

    Yes. I put a washer or glass bead between the hook and weight for added sound. But I switch to dropshot where snags are bad so usually, all I lose is the weight. Do you use painted bullet weights?
    I started using my wife’s discarded nail polish on bullet weights and jig heads that the paint had worn off of. I hope it makes the rig look more natural or even tastier.

      Yes, I paint a lot of my bullet weights. Red seems to do the best for me.

    I think Low brow might just be a hippy. I heard him say that was grass but it sure felt good.

    I like the Texas rig but is not as good as Catalina rig with 12" from the bullet and 🧿 bead or shorter to 6" smallest leder to hook set up. The Texas rig with a rage howg nice or yum crawler is my favorite in the summer.

    Hey Low Brow love your videos. I live in the southern part of New Jersey and I am strictly a bank fisherman. The water temp is in the mid to high 40s. Since the beginning of December the bite seems to be gone. Am I just wasting my time fishing from the bank?

    • @LowBrowFishing
      @LowBrowFishing  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I would say no. The bite can slow down for everyone when we get deep into the cold of winter, bank and boat anglers alike. But that doesn't mean there aren't still good bites to be had. Even on cold, windy, cloudy days you can still have success. As always, the first rule is to look for signs of life. If you see smaller baitfish, chances are that bass are also nearby. They might not be as active, but you can still convince them to bite; usually by slowing down your presentation drastically.
