  • On this channel I am very vocal about my opinions no matter how "unpopular" some may be. Since I'm always honest and I'll never apologize for it, I thought it would be a good idea to have some of you voice some of your unpopular opinions. We will go through as many characters as we can but for this video we start with Batman.
    Let me know in the comments below more of your unpopular opinions/hot takes!

    Batman isn’t responsible for Joker continuing to kill and I’m tired of people pretending he is. The GCPD and the justice system are responsible. Blaming Batman is ignoring the core issue which is the flawed justice system who keeps letting Joker free on insanity plea.

    • @tyrellmultimedia
      @tyrellmultimedia  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I think there could be an argument made that Batman does operate within his own laws and views within the justice system. Very often is he an illegal vigilante that may help the police but certainly does things the justice system doesn't apporve of. He can also be very brutal to his enemies to the point where killing them would actually feel more merciful then sparing them. Definitely not disagreeing with you though, just putting that out there.

    The bat family should be cut in half to be shorter, because Batman as a character is calculative and he’s alone from everybody else he’s alone wolf or a alone bat should I say lol

    Hot Take: I think Damian Wanye is overhated, they complain that he is to arrogant but I don’t think people realize that he is supposed to be arrogant to try and feel cooler, and he is a bit of a sleazebag due to him being raised by the League of Assassins to be the next Raz Al Ghul. I think the main problem is just bad writing, and people not understanding his character

    See what you will about the DCEU’s version of Batman, but I think he has the best choreography of any live action Batman. When I see him doing stuff, it legitimately looks like something out of Arkham.
    Whether it’s him fighting people in the warehouse or seeing him glide in the flash film
    I hope the next live action, Batman film can keep up that momentum of blurring realism and fantasy. Remember, Batman is not a superhuman… but he’s supposed to be so skilled that many criminals think he is.
    We should see moments of human weakness, where he has to tend to his wounds. But then we should see times where he swinging from gargoyles on his grappling hook and zooming from shadow to shadow in a way that is still plausible for a human, but makes us question for a minute “how did he do that?
    I wanted to be to a point where it’s just like how people debate online about whether or not Jason Voorhees and Michael Myers can teleport, people begin theorizing online that Batman might be super human but we can never get a conclusive answer.

      @Temple277 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on what story but joker is underrated asf, dude is unpredictable and terryfying, hes a genius and in a crazy and a bad way at the same time, batman also has a huge problem beating on joker since hes more of a mental enemy for batman rather then physical, and usually its that joker is holding someone hostage while Bats and supes are training since they're friends so 🤷.

    • @Temple277
      @Temple277 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ultrashard370 Well i was saying that hes underrated bcuz of how a lot of ppl think joker can be just shot and yes he can, but he would still win either way. He would either have some unpredictable trap or just die knowing he won since no matter if the character who kills him cares or not he philosophicaly wins just bcuz he convinced someone to kill him, im sure that its way more complicated then that but one of the biggest things abt the joker that make his character great is that u cant win against the joker unless u somehow prove joker mentally that hes wrong (which is probably impossible). So yea thats my take on it feel free to either agree to disagree, its a video about hot takes after all so complaining kinda ruins the point, i was just answering the question not trying to change someones take on it so thats it from me sorry for making this comment this long 😂.

    I don’t mind alternative versions of Batman killing. I love Ben Affleck’s version of the Dark Knight despite the fact he’s very willing to kill people in BvS.
    The only real issue I have with the idea of an alternate Batman being OK with murdering people is “why is the Joker still alive?”
    After all, if he’ll kill a random henchman, I see no reason he would resist, killing the psychotic clown who murdered his adopted son.

    Okay, brace for my unpopular opinion.
    I personally am not a fan of stories where Batman teams up with other superhumans like Superman and the Justice League. He always looks out of his element there and partaking in stories which have to do with galactic/space/ultra supernatural elements isn't that compelling compared to the more personal and intimate stories you get by JUST focusing on Batman in Gotham City.
    For me, Batman just belongs in the grimey, psychological world of Gotham, not flying in the stars with Superman and Wonder Woman.
    It feels much more underdog that its just him and a few of his Batfamily members fighting against the chaos of the world and feels less so with other superhumans around.
    I see it like I see the Raimi Spiderman films. There, Spiderman is the ONLY hero around so if he fails, theres no other hero between him and the city he protects (like the Avengers). It makes the story feel much more gripping and as if the weight of the whole world solely rests on his shoulders alone. Same with Batman.

    Thanks for allowing me to be featured in the video! Yes, Kevin truly was one of the best, if not the best portrayal of Batman. It hit me like a ton of bricks when I found out about his death as he is the Batman I grew up with. To me, if a voice actor does a really fantastic job at bringing the heroes we love to life, their voice lives on in your head forever. Every time I read a comic that has Batman, the Justice League, Static, the Teen Titans, etc., in it... You can hear their voice in your head as you read the book.
    For me, I always hear Kevin as Batman, Grey DeLisle as Catwoman, Scott Menville as Dick Grayson and Tara Strong as both Batgirl and Raven.

So many films are too scared to add a robin character arc because theyre trying to make everything dark, theres no way to make robin serious imo.
    Batman should also focus on rehabilitation or if not he should be turned out to be obsessed and enticed on his relationship with his rouges gallery.

    I definitely agree with 10:16. Batman being the best human at everything really brings down other characters in my opinion. Why can't Lex Luthor, The Atom, or Mister Terrific just be the smartest human? Why can't The Question or Tim Drake be the best detective? 15:23 makes a good point at how Batman often overshadows literally everyone else in crossover events or team-ups to the point that it's really annoying, even if I like him more than most if not all of the other characters in those stories. I’ll definitely say I think the best Batman stories are the grounded realistic ones, but you hit the nail on the head when you said it’s harder to integrate that kind of Batman into Justice league crossovers. Like I always have a hard time seeing the Nolan Batman or the reeves Batman chopping it up with Superman. Like seeing Robert Pattinson Bruce Wayne next to Aquaman would just short circuit my brain. So while I do think all the best and most iconic Batman stories are his more grounded ones, I do think those lend better to solo universes.

    I don’t know if it’s an unpopular opinion but in regards to the “Batman should kill his enemies instead of locking them up in Arkham only for them to escape!” I think a lot of people don’t realize what Arkham Asylum actually is, it’s not some impregnable stable highly secure prison like an Alcatraz for Gotham’s criminals, it’s a highly corrupt, untrained insane asylum, further more even the staff get turned into major super criminals, heck they even placed Batman in their cells at one point, honestly the best option with Arkham would be to destroy it and lock most of its inmates away at Blackgate or Iron Heights

    HT: Bruce is actually Kryptonian. Kal-El was supposed to end up with the Waynes (who couldn't conceive children). The incubation pod would scan human DNA on activation and incorporate the data into the fetus. Thomas Wayne and Jor-El developed a method to suppress the Kryptonian genome, which was left for Thomas to deploy. There were 4 fetuses. A pair of male and a female fetuses and a back-up for each containing the bulk of the Kryptonian genome. The main rocket breaks up when passing through the phantom zone. One ends up with Kent's, one on Themyscira, the other two are recovered by the US military, but Thomas confides in his friend, then Major Lane and they hide away the other two children as the Military would have isolated and used them. Them being Bruce and Lois. That's why they all have black hair and blue eyes and they well, look similar to each other. Bruce and Lois have their Kryptonian genome suppressed and pass off as humans, but are still more durable than humans. It would help explain why Bruce can survive multiple near and not so near fatal injuries and still remain at peak functionality. Lois's "close saves" when reporting on conflicts aren't that close at all. It also makes sense for Steve Trevor being sent to locate the still active craft on Themyscira which turns out to be Diana's "invisible plane".
    The Kryptonian cells absorb and store energy from an attuned source. Yellow sunlight just acts as a catalyst. For Kal it's the Phantom Zone, and for Diana it's the magical energies of Themiscyra. Kryptonite is a by-product of harnessing the Phantom Zone on Krpton and disrupts Phantom Zone energy, hence affecting only Kal-El.
    Well, this is a more unified lore for the central characters of the DC universe with Krypton acting as central plot devices, the inciting incident to begin the DC Universe.
    It's my fun little head Canon. 😅

    1.Personally I do think there are times where Batman has saved the joker and it bugs me because, If you don't want Batman to kill then you are aware that Batman saving joker or I'm not saying Batman should kill because
    Batman begins Batman said it best "I won't kill you but i don't have to save you"
    2. I heavily dislike how Fans including DC are spinning the narrative that Batman is invincible being able to stand toe to toe with Gods even though he's had his ass kicked multiple times, he maybe somewhat superhuman but he's still a human and that's what fans love about Batman he should be limited to what he can do as a human.
    3. I hate the prep time argument because fans are practically saying that Batman isn't able to beat this character. Giving Batman prep time is like giving someone a head start, No if he's gonna have prep time give the other person prep time as well

For example if Joker falls off a building Batman shouldn’t save him. The no kill rule has become the main part of his character and I think it should more be about him protecting innocents than saving every criminal he comes across. They chose to do wrong and villains like Joker deserve to die but it shouldn’t be Batman to kill them but Batman shouldn’t save them either.

    Unpopular opinion and I dont care what nobody says, batman should have gotten rid of the joker a long time ago, With all the evil things joker has done to multiple people over the years joker shouldn't have been allowed to live for as long as he has because if joker did all this stuff in the real world joker would have been executed, Im aware of the no kill rule but honestly? that kind of rule shouldn't apply to the joker of all criminals in Gotham

    I missed the post where we could say our hot takes, but I will share mine here: Batman cannot be adapted into live action. Batman is a comic book character with a history of around 80 years. There are just way too many crucial moments like knightfall, the introducton of the robins, a death in the family, killing joke etc. There is just way too much stuff to adapt. A proper introduction for the Robins would take years. James Gunn found his way around that,but that's not what we as fans or at least I wanted. We would need an entire Batman cinematic Universe and that would still not cover him being a part of the JLA. Also directors always try to use villains who haven't been used in a while, so chances are we will never get all of his rouges in one universe. So far it seems like the DCU is the universe that might change it, but that is not a batman centered universe, so I wouldn't bet on it diving into most of his history.

    This is just my opinion I think If Batman no kill rule was interpreted in a daredevil way like in the tv show and he was still brutal I think that would be perfect I think that is what Daredevil does better than Batman in my opinion.

    Ok, the hot take for Batman being a better character than Spider-Man is not as easy as we think. You have to keep in mind, Spider-Man was pretty much the first popularized teenage superhero. The idea of Spider-Man most certainly has Batman beat.

    I think most people have a hard time understanding the ‘no killing rule’ because they don’t understand the most important part about being Batman. His purpose is not to end crime, is to stop the suffering of innocents. He does what he does every night so no one has to go through what he went through when his parents were taken from him. It’s about reaching out to those asking for help to pull them out of the darkness and show them that there is still light. For that, he has to become a personification of hope for the people of Gotham. Hope doesn’t kill, it saves.
    To further add to this, If Batman killed his villains, there would be no partnership with Gordon and the GCPD since they would be out there hunting him like every other criminal, there would be no Batgirl because Barbara wouldn’t admire a murderer, the people of Gotham would fear him and Alfred would’ve abandoned him since he wouldn’t help him kill people no matter who they are.
    With that being said, if I were in his shoes, while confronting people like Joker or Zsazs, I wouldn’t think twice about paralyzing them from the neck down.
