Thanks for your great video! I own the X-T4 and X-Pro 3 for photography, but use the Canon C70 for video while at the office. I'm looking into a new camera for my personal video work and can't decide between the X-H2s or a Canon option. Your video helped tremendously. Thank you and keep up the great content!

It’s a no brainer man, the XH2s is better in almost every way and cheaper. Not to mention your already in the ecosystem! The cinema features on the C70 are not worth buying in my opinion, not when the A74 and Xh2s match it in terms of dynamic range and autofocus at a much lower price point. C70 is excellent, don’t get me wrong I’m just frustrated with canon as a company because I’m an R5 owner and I don’t want you to make the same mistake I did in switching to canon lol

Glad to hear you made that move. I've also got the X-H2S and X-H2 duo, and boy are they just brilliant. For me, the Blackmagic RAW output was a seller for me: I've got three BMPCC 4Ks with (of course) Metabones speedboosters EF mount. So being able to get the two Fujis that can work in conjunction with my Blackmagic/Davinci workflow was a no-brainer. Great video buddy!

I am a primarily stills shooter, and switch from the Canon R system. I still had the original R and RP, and they performed phenomenally for me. I invested in an all RF glass kit. I was not dissatisfied with the quality of my images. What Fuji XH-2 did for me was give me a smaller footprint and I was able to completely get into the system with all my RF gear I had. I didn't dislike my Canon gear, I still have my RP and RF 24-105 and I love that combo, so I'm keeping that.

I have the R5, and I love that camera, but I'm really sad about the third-party lens situation, so I too am switching to either fuji or sony, but it's honestly hard to sell my R5 because nobody wants it! I do love the ability to use canon EF lenses with all the full autofocus features, but EF lenses are getting more expensive now because of their adaptability! Tamron makes lenses for sony and fuji that are 90% the quality of native lenses at sometimes half or less the cost! I used to shoot sony, and I really regret switching to canon, even though I do love the R5.... it's a complicated relationship... lol

@@krishnayalla676 yeah, the problem is that it’s so much more expensive and I’ve outgrown the canon limitations as I’ve been shooting long form interviews. I could sell it with my Rf lenses and get 2 A74 cameras and still have money leftover. I’ve only recently began desiring a two camera set up for interviews. But don’t get me wrong, the R5 is a beast and I love it, but having used it for a long time, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frustrated with canon.

I switched from Fuji to Sony, the AF just isn't there for Fuji. The focus square might appear and show that you acquired focus but the lenses do something completely different, especially in video. You can just never really rely on it. So if you shoot in anything but optimal conditions your keeper rate sucks. You can tweak the settings and it improves somewhat but it's still pretty bad compared to Sony imo.

hmmm I don't understand since when is the crop sensor rated better than the fullfame sensor? yes, ff isn't everything but you can't compare ff and medium format sensors either, there are physical limitations and good technology but can't be deified like that, and also depends For the purpose you use it, the crop sensor rotates very well, but still, I have not found it to be really powerful, like when you compare the camera on a phone with a 0.6inch sensor!

Canon's built in grip, beefy look, closed lens market, is a deal breaker for me. Mirrorless for me means, lightweight and compact. The ability to reconfigure my camera for different situations is highly valuable to me. 3rd party lenses are so crucial for many photographers, cost is very much a factor in this business.

A more accurate comparison would be with the 33f1.4, that’s closer to the same focal length of 50mm on full frame. Plus that 56mm is one of the worst in regards of autofocus. Good video, I too switched to Fuji from canon about 3 years ago, both systems have their pros and cons.

I understand switching systems from a financial perspective but man letting go of an R3 for Fuji a APS-C seems like a serious downgrade. I'm aware of the XH2S specs and its an interesting camera having tried it myself, but the ergonomics are poor, the AF still isn't there, the IQ has this over sharp look that makes it look videoish compared to Canon and the lens system just isn't great for video. I do like the 6.2K open gate for multi aspect ratio deliveries which are becoming very common in my segment. If I were to get the XH2S it would be in compliment of my Canon system and I'd get the Metabones or Viltrox speed booster and adapt EF lenses.

Your points are well put together. Seems like the only area where the R3 beats the XH2S is the autofocus (though the XH2S autofocus is plenty usable)
Not sure though if it was fair to increase the iso on the R3 to match the XH2S in log mode. I’m thinking it would have be fairer to just set both to their native ISO seeing that cameras perform best in terms of colour and dynamic range etc at their native iso.

Lol, I got an X-H2, and I'd sell one of my kidneys for a Canon R3 or even R5 with a bunch of good lenses.
I only got into fuji because it was the cheaper option in the beginning, the X-S10 being a 26 MP APS-C camera with IBIS for under $1000. I was considering the switch to canon, but ultimately decided that I just got too many lenses and stuff for the fuji, so I went for the X-H2 instead. Great camera, but the autofocus is seriously flawed. Lots of unsharp images despite the green box confirming focus, and the subject recognition is pretty useless as it can't really track anything that's moving erratically, like animals.
