That is interesting your clip showing rolling shutter on the GH6. I have a GH6 and not really noticed rolling shutter issues before. While I don't shoot in ProRes on the GH6 due do the huge file sizes, I do wonder why the firmware update they released to add ProRes to other resolutions besides 5.7K, they left out adding ProRes UHD resolution, which makes no sense to me. I bought a GH6 after using a GH5 since it came out. Yes the GH6 is a bit bigger but not massively so. It actually felt more well balanced in my hands than the GH5. I have never relied on Autofocus and I am happy with manual focus 99% of the time. The things I like about the GH6:
    1. Colors in V-Log
    2. Dynamic Range Boost
    3. RAW Output/ProRes Internal even if they decided not to add UHD resolution to ProRes internal.
    4. Shutter Angle and Waveforms.
5.The crop. Not everyone likes the 2x crop, but for wildlife shooting it is great. I could use the Leica 100-400 and get a FF equivalent 200-800mm range, which I don't think you can get a FF zoom lens that has that reach and if you could it would be huge and heavy. You can also use the Pixel to Pixel to get a bit closer to the subject when not in 5.8/5.9K or shooting RAW externally. to get a closer shot without changing lenses.
    6. Easy to use menu system.
    7. USB-C power. I have powered my GH6 for over 5 hours on a Anker PD battery and still had most of the battery life left.
    8. Bright screen
    9.Shutter angle
    10. 5.8K open gate where you can add markers on screen for framing for different situations. I have used it crop to 16:9 5K in editing.
    11. No overheating issues.
    12. Smaller native lenses and a huge amount of lens options, especially with adaptors.
    13. While not specific to the GH6, but I really appreciate Panasonic's customer service and the Lumix live streams they do on TH-cam every Thursday on their cameras, lenses accessories and using them. You don't usually get other camera companies doing streams like that.
    14. Focus transitions. I love being able to set focus points in camera and be able to do focus pulls perfectly every time at the same speed without having to do it manually.
    15. Great IBIS

Excellent review! The most useful info packed into one review I think I've ever seen! For me, the XH2S is the clear winner on a good balance of features alone, but if you look at some videos comparing image quality to much more expensive cameras like the Canon R5c or Sony FX3, the XH2s is a no brainer. It actually beats these cameras in many aspects of image quality. I'm hoping they'll improve AF and IBIS with firmware, but even as-is, these are adequate for me personally. Aloha!

@@JordanLedbetter Definitely concerned about image quality, and I have a couple BMPCC4K's, which are very similar to the 6. From the footage I've seen, the XH2s holds it's own or beats the BMPP4K and maybe similar 6k. The fact that the BM stuff doesn't have continuous AF or really any ability to take proper photos is kind of a deal killer either wsy. The EF mount, huge size and weight, non-flippy screen and mediocre battery life don't help either. It's a great cinema camera for studio work with someone pulling focus though.

@@evankolpack completely agree with your comments the negatives of the 6k. It's for those reasons that I stick with my 4k.
However, while I agree that the Fuji is close, it still looks "digital" to me. It's the same reason I traded my a7siii for my BMPCC - to get rid of that home video, digital look. The texture of the BMPCC footage and ease of grading raw footage make shooting a pleasure.
They need to release a BMPCC 4k pro with tilt/flip screen (not just flip), E-mount or RF-mount, slimmed down body, internal NDs, and a slightly bigger battery.

What can make Fuji look "digital" is simply that you're on average putting orders of magnitude better glass in front of the sensor than you are on the BMPCC or GH6. I have it but I think all the cameras in this line up have their strengths.
The little things... I wish there was tracking auto focus on video mode. And the x-mount had better wide-open video focused lenses.
The Sigma Art 16-35mm f1.8 with the Fringer EF adapter is about my favorite lense for video which is slightly ridiculous. The auto focus on video of the new (!) 33mm f1.4 was surprisingly shitty in my tests (maybe I made a mistake that day)

Was also looking at that samyang 12mm but at f2 I figure let’s go with the much larger 13mm and get the low light benefits. I think for me it’s the best Camera out right now in this class. an awesome video as normal guys, I was waiting on this one in particular because I'm a GH6 owner and I've been debating on whether the FX30 was a right fit to my workflow, I need reliable autofocus in various situations, the GH6 has improved vastly to previous models I've own but in that regard it has let me down in some occasions and Sony's autofocus is in its own category, however I'd like to add some stuff:
    - As a Solo shooter that has experience with cameras like the A7SIII, A7III, A6600 and several more Sony cameras, the IBIS is pretty much the thing I hate about them, its not good, its better then not having, that's for sure, but I wouldn't call it "reliable", compared to the other ones, the GH6 has the best IBIS, I actually don't use a gimbal because of how good it is, sure there is a time and place for a gimbal because IBIS is not replacing it, but it gets to a point that in most situations, it almost does.
    - the GH6 offers a lot of recording options with no crop to its image, it oversamples, the other brands have crops in some resolution and recording options.
    - the option to record externally with the Fuji in BRaw and ProRes Raw, is something worth mentioning, GH6 and FX30 have the ProRes Raw option too but no BRaw.
    - the lens selection with the P6K Pro in the "kit" or "bundle" part of the video (27:50) but the one for the GH6 is not the best choice IMO, the 12-35mm f2.8 its better, for the fuji there's not a lot of options on that constant aperture option but for the E-mount there are a couple of good alternatives to that very expensive G16-55mm but I agree, its not precisely easy to recommend the best "kit" to fit anyone's needs.
I went with the GH6 because as a Solo shooter (in most situations), that is the best overall package when it comes to physical and software features IMO, but I will be adding an FX30 for those situations were the GH6 lacks, mainly in autofocus and size but YES, EVERY CAMERA IN THIS VIDEO IS AWESOME, you pretty much can't go wrong.

I brought the blackmagic Pocket Cinema 6k G2 and have adapter that allows me to use nikon f mount lenses. And I have EF 28mm to 85mm Cinema Lens. I have a nikon Z6 and d7500 cameras and I just got the blackmagic camera and it's actually a better camera for filming only which is what is my primary goal. Speaking as semi pro ( have done courses at University) Cinematographer on a budget though I have a Sony Cinema Camera I looking for a camera I can use for action that is smaller and allow me to to use the cine lens as well as zoom lens which the nikon f mount lens adaptor allows me to do. So in essence the blackmagic camera is not restricted to by other lenses mounting and allows me to use wide angle, zoom , 50mm and fisheye lenses. It means I can use my nikon z6 with Anamorphic lenses and the blackmagic set up with the 28mm to 85mm or any of f mount lens when the Sony camera is more restricted in its versatility. Also the blackmagic camera allows use of ssd drives, usb flash drive as well as cfast card and sd card so if the cfast card fails or you just need to switch to a secondary storage you can switch to the ssd drive .The blackmagic camera will be great for action filming as it will add a rough feel to it as films have become too smooth and the lack of stability in the blackmagic camera is not a issue for me and anyone using resolve or premiere (I have both) will be able to resolve in post production if its a bit much and less face it Good films are the ones you have to wait for and take at least a couple of years to put together. So I think deciding what camera is for you depends on what you want out of that camera especially when you can also make use of existing equipment you have already. On a note to CVP this was a good review of these cameras and I recently brought the blackmagic camera from you Thanks guys for great the service . Oh by the way the blackmagic camera at the moment comes with a free pocket cinema camera evf unit , which is another reason I love the blackmagic camera I can use or not use the viewer by adding or removing it or using the position to add other equipment. Anyway take care everyone.

Especially if you are relying on the LCD screen and don't have a larger viewing device. I've come to enjoy manual focusing with focus peaking, but I know that's not for everyone. The Pocket 6K Pro is great, but it does feel like the GH6 is an afterthought compared to how you describe the other cameras. I mean, the FX30 is in Sony's cinema line and still lacks a lot of cine features like shutter angle and waveform. The GH6 has these features and more (SSD recording as you show in the video), but it almost feels like you guys would recommend the Sony over it. The 6K Pro and GH6 are way better than both the XH2s and FX30 in cine functionality and image quality.

@@pkolloch While I wouldn't use the Pocket 6K Pro as a crash camera, the rolling shutter didn't bother me in the two shoots I've used it (I don't own it). The 6K Pro is to be used deliberately, a lot like using higher end cinema cameras. The footage out of it was beautiful and I stand by my assertion, but to each their own. The FX30 feels like a quick cash grab by Sony before they use that same sensor in a cheaper APS-C camera. The XH2s has fantastic IQ but it is hampered by a lack of functionality. Which leaves the 6K Pro and GH6.

I think you’re too quick to excuse the missing features of the Pocket 6k compared to the other three. They’re all the same price after all, and their image quality is essentially the same. You’re objectively getting less for your money with the P6K.
