@@Iamtongue lmao 😂 I have the x10 but the screen always goes out. The camera still works tho. When I go to the gallery or to the settings, the screen goes back on but when I get off the settings or gallery, the screen goes off again. 🙃🙃 I’m thinking of getting a new camera, but maybe this time not a fuji :(
While I'm not a Fuji user, I like to understand what each company's product lineup looks like. Finally I came across this video that makes it easy to understand Fuji's lineup. Thank you!
I have been enjoying photography for a long time, but only as a non-professional, and I don't intend to invest heavily in equipment. After Nikon, I switched to Fujifilm because I liked the authentic and individual way in which Fujifilm bodies are designed. I bought a used X-T1 and X-S10, both in pristine condition, at a very reasonable price, and that's all I need. Both use the same batteries. For the X-T1, 16Mpx is quite sufficient for me, the viewfinder is huge, and the whole camera and jpg are simply wonderful. It has everything that makes Fujifilm special in my opinion, excellent for street photography, travel, inspiring, and retro in the best possible way. I bought the X-S10 to fill the other side, when I need performance, 26Mpx, Solid autofocus and great in-body image stabilization. It is very programmable and fits fantastically in the hand, especially with the bottom L-bracket, which raises its body so that it can be held more easily with all fingers or placed on a table without worries. I even saved money on the lenses: a used 18-55, a used 15-45mm, a used Samyang 12mm f2, and a used Samyang 21mm 1.4. With an adapter, my old manual Nikon 50mm 1.8 works wonderfully. I have time for manual focusing. If I could invest more, maybe I would buy a more expensive and "more professional" combination. But this way, with a total cost of 1500 euros, I have equipment that I can enjoy, and I think that if a person is creative, there is no obstacle for photos, and even films, to be beautiful with it. And if I need 4K DCI at 60 fps, I'll call on my phone for help :)
@@Iamtongue Haha, you're welcome. But I'm not really good at planning either. I tend to focus on too many different things, so I need to buy within my means. However, if the new X-S20 came with a similar price as its predecessor, a bigger viewfinder, and a new NP-W235 battery, I don't think I could resist it :P
Use both XE1 and XT200. The latter has a larger screen which with my low vision is great. I came from film, Olympus OM 1 and IS3000. Also now have Pentax 645. plus OM2n . All lenses are now interchangeable with correct adaptor, well except IS3000. Found your presentation great. Kaipara, New Zealand.
It’s very hard to get a handle on the Fuji range; the different styles, shapes, hand grips and dials so your exhaustive run thru of all the models, their strengths and weakness’, was very useful, thanks.
I've shot Canon for so long with film simulation picture styles. Recently got curious from my buddy's X100V and tried to snatch one but got disappointed with the hype. Thanks for this. I may try to get one of the X-T5.
I’ve had an X-T30 for several years. Got an aftermarket wood grip which makes it feel just as good (larger) in hand as the X-T3 equivalent, while still keeping the tiny, pocketable form factor. Absolutely love the camera, use it for hiking and general street photography. Beautiful photos but absolutely easy to carry around and the with pancake lens (awesome lens) it literally fits in my front pocket!!!
Good round up. I use the X100V on backpacking trips. Otherwise, I still use my original X-T1. I don't shoot video, so the ideal camera for a lightweight landscape camera would be the X-E series. I just wish Fuji had more pancake wide lenses. Either that or make a 23mm full-frame equivalent conversion lens and an 80mm conversion for the X100V.
I started photography with my aunts Nikon D200 and still use it to this day and love it. After looking at other brands with cameras that are more “compact” I came across the x100 lineup; I ended up buying the x100s and fell in love with it. As someone who isn’t a professional and just likes to document life I think the x100 is a great camera. Fuji film simulations in JPEG are amazing for me, allows me to not edit my photos and just shoot and transfer them when I get home. I might upgrade later in a few years to a changeable lens camera that Fuji had maybe the x-t30 or x pro series.
@@Iamtongue it really is. I don’t see myself upgrading for awhile honestly, the photos I get from the x100s are what I like to shoot. I don’t mind the 16 mp at all, it’s good enough to crop if I wanna; overall the x100s is a perfect camera for everyday camera as a lifestyle/ documentary camera.
Thank you, this was exactly what I needed. Been so confused about Fujifilm cameras, but was so clear. I think I’ll go for X-e or X-pro and save money. Liked and subscribed!
Right now I have the X-T3. I doubt I'll be upgrading any time soon. There have been moments where I considered going with an XS10, but just never pulled the trigger. I think I will be waiting for a while until prices of some of the newer bodies bet into the used realm. Have a great day!
this is such a direct, clear assessment of the fuji line, thank you so much for this! I'd love to have an XT, but I think I'll just get a pro so i can just start taking pictures sooner :)
Awesome video! This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. One question I have is there any way to turn off the zoom-in when focusing in manual mode? Sometimes I’d like to just manually focus with the whole scene in view, not zooming in like mad every time I turn the barrel. I guess I’m one of the cool kids but didn’t know it LOL. I got the xp3 because it had the best of both worlds between a modern camera and core photo elements of a Leica. Can’t tell you how many times the AF has gotten me fotos I absolutely wouldn’t have gotten if I needed to pull out the camera, manually focus the rangefinder, then pray lol. With the Fuji I was able to just handhold it outwards and aim the lens, hoping I had a cool angle and somewhat aimed at the subject, then press the button. Really works awesome for surprise events or the need to GET that opportunity in front of you. It’s also A LOT lighter and easier to carry for hours as compared to a solid brass upper and lower bodied M camera.
I've always wanted a camera that has a sensitive nipple, just like me. Seriously though, great video! Have been looking into FujiFilm cameras given all the hoopla about the X100V, and this explainer was just what I needed, thanks!

So I now carry an R5 that I use for landscape work, but I wanted something more portable. I’ve watched your Fuji videos and have settled on the X-T30, given your advice to not overpay for the X100 series. I’m not sure I’ll ever divorce Canon, but I clearly intend to have a fling with Fujifilm. Once I get more experience with it, maybe even being seen with it on the street or in a restaurant, I’ll let you know how an old Canon guy who wishes he was a cool kid feels about the X-T30 with a cheap lens.

Great video! I'm planning on getting the x-t5 as my camera body but I was wondering if you had any recommendations for which memory cards to get for it? I'm planning on mainly shooting photography with a little video here and there but I've heard that that storage is consumed a lot faster due to the higher mp count. Any advice?
if you're looking for memory cards, i would recommend the prograde digital v60 cards amzn.to/471g7Uz This would be great for what you're asking for. Mainy photos but with a little bit of video...
Probably good to differentiate the XTrans 1-5 and the processors. IE the x100v and the XT5 DO NOT have the same sensor. The x100V, XT3, XT4, XT30, XE4 share the same sensor I believe. And now with the XS20, we see one of the first cameras to have a XTrans4 sensor but the latest processor of the XH2/XH2s and XT5. So it kinda breaks the mold.
well Im planning to buy x100v or xt5 but its my first time buying a camera so im not really sure what to choose i kinda want somthing that can be useful in video either and i guess 100v isnt that good but the price range between them is kinda high xt5 is pretty high for my budget but i can force myself for it but idk if is it really necessery to buy somthing more proffesional or 100v is enough can someone pls give me a hand
I hate fujifilm but i love using his camera, looking at fujifilm xt30 xe4 and x100v them have same sensor and specification but xt30 does’t come with classic neg even on firmwere updete
As a Mexican, I can say Taco Bell is total garbage. You people dont know how a real taco taste. That being said, comparing Fuji cameras to a Taco Bell is soooo awful.
Xpro and x100 series aren't for hipsters bro, I think you're so wrong, those cameras are for documentary photographers, they are like Leicas were for Magnum legends decades ago.
You know im joking when I said it's for hipsters, it's for everybody, and I'm pretty sure i said that would be ideal for street / documentary photographers.
You do yourself no favours by pidgeon holing characterisations into cameras, Real people were using X100s and XPROs way before the hipsters came along. At the end of the day, cameras are no better than "hammers", some feel better in your hands than others and some do the job better than others.
What Fujifilm camera are you getting? 😮

I'm planning on mainly shooting photography with a little video here and there but I've heard that that storage is consumed a lot faster due to the higher mp count. Any advice?
if you're looking for memory cards, i would recommend the prograde digital v60 cards

This would be great for what you're asking for. Mainy photos but with a little bit of video...
@@Iamtongue Wow that was quick! I'll look into them, thanks :)
what about x-a line?
It’s really helpful for me to find my Fuji camera.
Thanks for watching 😀 I’m glad it helpedb
All of them have film simulation?
Yes
I got Sony A6400 + 17-70mm. feels like trying Fuji, any camera that i good for starting fuji? wanting to sell my sony

So it kinda breaks the mold.
great new content idea. 👋👍
Fuji very sharp. Tops camera.
Top camera indeed
well Im planning to buy x100v or xt5 but its my first time buying a camera so im not really sure what to choose i kinda want somthing that can be useful in video either and i guess 100v isnt that good but the price range between them is kinda high xt5 is pretty high for my budget but i can force myself for it but idk if is it really necessery to buy somthing more proffesional or 100v is enough can someone pls give me a hand
you know the x100vi is going to be announced in a couple of weeks. So hold onto your money before buying an x100v.
I'm going to make my teenie weenie beanie even teenier cause I'm so triggered by this video.. take my xpro3 and go. I love you.
LMFAOOO cool kids are cool in my books man… love you 🫰
Where is the XS lines?
Did you watch the whole video?
@@Iamtongue i did, but im wondering why its at the end with its own category as it is a midranger.

XH1 never gets any love. Y'all missing out...
I got a video talking about the XH1! soon... :)
Wow Reggie sounds like a TacoBell Pro
He loves it!
Taco Bell. 🙄
Great analogy 😂
Taco Bell Sucks I have the XT-20
i always like authentic mexican food anyways, that's why i go to chipotle.
Spam dial lol.
Haha
Sounds like their is emotional damage from the "cool kids"..... was I am Tounge not part of the hipster crowd?
@@janissevalenzuela you got me 🤣stop psycho analyzing me
I hate fujifilm but i love using his camera, looking at fujifilm xt30 xe4 and x100v them have same sensor and specification but xt30 does’t come with classic neg even on firmwere updete
As a Mexican, I can say Taco Bell is total garbage.
You people dont know how a real taco taste.
That being said, comparing Fuji cameras to a Taco Bell is soooo awful.
You’re right, I like chipotle better. It’s authentic
Dude. Xe3 has 16 MPs. In what world does it "have the same sensor"?!
I think you missed a part of a text where i added an asterisk explaining this.
@@Iamtongue🤙🏽📸
You do yourself no favours by pidgeon holing characterisations into cameras, Real people were using X100s and XPROs way before the hipsters came along.
At the end of the day, cameras are no better than "hammers", some feel better in your hands than others and some do the job better than others.
Thanks for being the only person who didn’t get the joke… I’ll try to be more inclusive next time and involve everyone else than just cool kids…
Yeah lame, don't do that.
I have an X-T20 and X-T100. It means I’m a broke ass
HHaha nah you're smart with your money
