    I just traded my 2022 Civic sport touring for a loaded SE. The Honda was a good car. I really enjoyed it for two+ years. The 1.5t was a concern for long term ownership. I need this camry to hold up for 15+ years. Even if i need a $2,500 battery in 10. Better than a head gasket or belt & cone CVT replacement. I was surprised the local dealer was willing to discount the car for me to meet my payment requirements. No shit. $2.450 off MSRP.

      That's a helluva deal.... I knew I planned to drive tons of miles. So I needed something I was sure was going to hold up for lots of miles. And the Camry has a reputation for lasting. So that's the way we went.
      Glad you got a good deal and hope you're enjoying your new ride.

      You will defiantly hold this Camry more than 15 years. I am proud owner of the 2010 Camry LE brought cash for 5k in 2015 with 87K miles and Still running strong at 249K miles. Just put all brand new tires from Costco with 80K miles (This was my mechanic suggestion to bet me on how solid the condition of the car is )

      I drive a '23 Corolla Hybrid currently. They have the same hybrid system so there wouldn't be any difference there. You can definitely feel the extra horsepower in the Camry. Also the Camry is much more spacious on this inside, though you don't really notice that the Camry is a bigger car while driving. Camry is also quieter, especially on the XSE/XLE trims due to the acoustic glass. I wouldn't have recommended the previous generation Camry over the Corolla, but with the update the Camry is back to being better.

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  หลายเดือนก่อน

      So I drove a 2014 Corolla since October of 2023. I put 50,000 miles on it. It was a great car, but I definitely needed the extra space since I do RideShare with it. And I wanted a Hybrid to lower the expenses. Number 1 expense of driving 8000 miles a month is gas. So the Hybrid should save me $250-300/month in fuel. That'll make my $700 payment plus $100 insurance seem like it's $500/month. Which I was paying the same thing to borrow/rent the Corolla. ($800 with Insurance)

    1. Does the 2025 Carmy have steel knuckles or aluminum knuckles?

      Appreciate it bro.... I'm loving it.
      I didn't have mine custom built for me. I bought it the day of because I needed it ASAP.
      This one was 3-5 days out and they got it there in 2 days. It was actually a other dealers car, and they traded one they were having built for it. Almost exactly the same, but this one had 1-2 more things.
      They told me if I wanted to build one, then it could take up to 2-3 months to get exactly what I wanted. Now granted if it was a basic package that was already going to be built, then it probably could've been quicker. But choosing the exact things I wanted and if they aren't the normal package, then it'll be a special build.

      Camry's are made in the US these days (Kentucky, I believe). Usually it takes 45 days or so from first allocation to a dealer for it to hit the ground. Unfortunately, you can't just "order" a Toyota. You can reserve one or request one, but if the dealer doesn't have that specific car allocated, they have to trade for it or just wait. In your case, you say yours is reserved but keeps getting delayed. Short term delays are common with a new release. However if they are telling you more than 30 days or so, they might not even have the vehicle allocated. Ask your salesman for a consumer sheet with the VIN on it. If they have it allocated, it will have either a VIN or a temporary VIN with a letter in the last six digits (for example, 22A720 instead of 221720). If they can't give you that, then they don't actually have the vehicle. If they do have the vehicle allocated and you are in the southeastern US, you can find it on exploretoyota.com, though it may require some digging... that will show you an estimated date of arrival.

      The Android Auto has messed up on me a couple of times. But I was thinking it was the Lyft app causing it. That was my first weekend.
      2nd weekend, I just used the Bluetooth on the radio and still played my music through the radio... Just without android auto. Had no issues.
      I may delete the Uber and lyft app from Android auto, and see if it'll work fine that way. But if it fails once, then I'll know it's just android auto still sucks...
      I've never really liked it before in other vehicles I've used it in when it was wired. It may have been because I'm so used to controlling the maps app the way I like it from my phone, and I can't get it to do what I want from the radio the same way. Which I don't think I had that issue like I may have had in the past. But I never owned the vehicles I used it in, so I never messed with anything...
      As far as phone mounts go, I used these. I'll link below in a separate comment as I think TH-cam won't embed links. So maybe you can copy and paste it. If mobile you may have to use a browser in desktop mode to copy it.

    The key question is whether this model will perform as well as the Gen-8. We won't have a clear answer until the full quarterly sales data from July through Sep is available. The Gen-8 sold almost 600,000 units worldwide in 2023, with about half of those sales coming from the US market. Besides the US and Canada, China, the Middle East, and Australia are significant markets for the Camry. While the technology in this model appears adequate, it lacks the distinctiveness and cohesiveness of the Gen-8. It seems as though different teams worked independently on this car without proper collaboration. As for my perspective, I won't be trading in my Gen-8 for this new model. I anticipate a substantial refresh of both the interior and exterior around 2026 to regain some of the appeal that may have been lost.

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      Yeah.... I do think they'll make improvements on the style in a 2-3 year refresh. Even the Gen 8s had a mid model update that made them appear a bit more refined and attractive.
      I personally needed a car now, so I couldn't wait for a couple of years. Also with the line of work I do, having a car that's different than everyone else... At least for the first few months, should be an extra boost for my business/tips.

It's a part of Safety Connect (which Connected Services is what the app on your phone is used for... you also get Service Connect, Remote Connect, and GPS). The SOS button can be used to call for help in an emergency yes; it can also call YOU if an airbag is deployed to make sure everyone is alright. You're gonna get lots of reliable miles with it. I bought a 2024 XSE V6, black on white, didn't want the hybrid nor 4cyl. Only thing I don't like is there's a million of them on the road, too common.

      I used to be the same way, but today's 4 cylinders ain't the turds they used to be.
      And the thing that killed me about the V6, is they still get the same fuel mileage as my 2006 Pontiac G6 with a V6 did way back in the day. They don't spend the money on the tech for them because they know they're killing them off. Mainly the government is because of emissions BS.
      This car is unique for now. But in less than a year, I'll see tons of them on the road looking just like mine. 😂😂

    What range do you get on a full tank?

    • @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS
      @TEAMWRIGHTEOUS  17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It depends on how I drive... My fuel mileage varies and I'm not getting anywhere near the advertised fuel mileage. First weekend I was around 44, now it varies between 38-40 MPG. It's an 11 gallon tank.
      My fuel economy varies because I rarely shut the car off, so at times I'm sitting around with the AC on and waiting on my next ride. So it could possibly get better, I'm just unsure until I can do different types of testing on longer trips.
      Probably a future trip I'll make should be all one long highway trip and fill it up before I leave and when I get there 400 miles later. Then I'll truly know what my highway mileage is.

      @@destroyerofsimps6574 it's constantly changing based on the fuel mileage I'm getting. If my fuel mileage is lower, the next time I fill up it'll be lower.
      I've seen 511 one time when I had much better fuel mileage. But now that my mileage has dropped 5 mpg it is usually around 450ish.
      I don't pay attention to that. I just check my fuel mileage to see if I got better or worse. The mpg on the dash is always around 1mpg too high.
